Won't moving the wheels and the axles do the job?

Well, if you want to move whole everything for it, then yes.
It's easier to move chassis only though. |

I see...
By the way, do you have any clue as to why the parts aren't properly assigned to the chassis? |

a) You've moved them
b) You have to fit them by cfgs. |

1) They're properly aligned in 3DS
2) What did I do wrong? |

Basically, all parts are assigned by .cfg files, not 3DS Max possition

The chassis can't be moved easily in CFGs with respect to the pivot point.
It's actually best to export all of the parts as close to the coordinate center as you can get them - e.g. make a standard position to export all front bumpers from, another for all rear bumpers, etc - but not everyone does this. If you export all of the parts centered to the same pivot, you get something like Blast's SRT-4 where the physics end up weird, and the parts look tiny and far-away in the catalog. |

Followed Harrison's advice for the whole chassis thing. Chassis is still flying though...
Also, headlights are being bitches and won't align properly. Will fix. Now, here's a list of stuff to do: 1) Separate the bumpers into parts. Without the grille, the bumper is paintable. 2) Lower the chassis itself and separate it into parts 3) Learn how to work with pivots 4) Fix positioning of parts so they can open normally and not like retards 5) Check to see if any materials are wrong. |

You may need to move it down more than that, then. Try 100 if 50 isn't enough (maybe you're in centimeters instead of inches or something silly like that?).

Just the chassis or the whole thing?
Added 1 hour 19 minutes later: Nvm. I did it. Only thing that bugs me is the rear bumper being a very little tad off. There's still a long way to go. This post was edited by Facepalm (2016-02-07 00:09, ago) |

Looks good!
What did you do to position the bumper? I might be able to help you with that. |

I took the coordinates from Max with the script, pasted on the main.cfg, then I went to the bumper.cfg and reset its coords to 0.000

Okay, good. Sounds like you've got it right.
I think it might just be because the indicator is missing a texture? The bumper actually looks fine. Also make sure that there aren't more decimal points getting cut off. (Try pressing F12 with the Move tool selected and the bumper selected, and looking at the numbers - although, there would be a conversion factor between Max and SLRR, usually with Max's units being 100x SLRR units and with the Y and Z jumbled around.) |

I fixed the positions of wheels, suspension and lights.
Some parts are indeed a little off, but I think I can fix that... Also there's something in the headlights and I don't know how to get rid of it. It's like a part is passing through them. Not really visible in black paint... Mitch got pulled over because he is using an unfinished car and everything is sticking out. |

It will come, for some reason exporting the bumper WITH the grille causes it to make the bumper unpaintable and the grille paintable

Okay so I was adjusting the RK bodykit bumpers, and when I switched over to the stock ones, they were out of position, while the RK ones were sorta fine.
Until I solve that, here are some pictures... I need help though. Anyone who could help me via Skype, I'd really appreciate that. |

Well then... I'm going quite slowly on progress.
I only managed to fix the seat positioning and sorta fix the steering wheel position... I'm still pretty much confused as to what to do next. I have absolutely no clue what comes next. Also, should I make it have openable doors or not? |

Make openable doors! That's a huge difference in quality with a lot of mods - mods that have the doors stuck closed are always kind of disappointing.
Also see if you can get the grilles working properly. |

But, uh, have you done separate parts? Or these in-game photos are from single mesh one?

I separated the parts! I'm still working on the interior, as well as the parts. Positioning needs a lot of working... And I'll have to model the doors... I well... suck at modelling stuff so... |

Heya everyone. I've kinda paused the Solstice for now because the whole thing has become a hassle to work with and it's pretty tiring actually.
I'll continue it another time. For now, I decided to work on easier stuff such as: Universal Daytona wing in a variety of sizes And this: It'll be a single piece car mod. |
