# dxg1997 : BTW, when should I come get the G8?
I'm good for whenever. The car is currently parked outdoors at the shop, under a cover. I've already gotten the title papers ready to transfer.
(OOC: Do you need any additional mods to make the G8 work for you as described? Paint color is Liquid Red - RGB 176,18,28 - by the way.)

A big update! (No it isnt :( )

The beater miata is back! Oh man i love this thing.
I also did some suspension work on the sileighty, the suspension was too stiff
and i also gave it some paint.
I was out drifting on a track with some friends and i let my brother drive, for being 14
his driving is incredible!, so he decides to go WIDE and WILD on the track with the sileighty
and goes a bit too wide and he ended up bumping the rear into a wall.

Since the S13 is out of commission for what may be a little while, I've picked up my newest drift car. My rotary 240 is just something I can't be destroying so I had to find something, and I wanted to change it up a little bit.

This particular model has the 2.3L Turbo that after some minor modifications, makes a whopping 185WHP (so the guy says)

The car is equipped with some custom mix and match style coilovers, different Work wheels both wrapped in Toyo rubber, crazy camber up in the front of the car, some fender flares to fit the huge spaced wheels up front, and some modified steering knuckles for a little more angle. It also has a spray paint paint job & yellow Recaro seats that seem really out of place. It has character though.

I took it for a couple laps earlier today after having installed these halo headlights. I got them with the car and figured why not?

Can't wait to trash on this.

I got the G8 home safe and sound. Plan on a few little things, brakes, wheels, and maybe supercharger. But, I've found an old Commodore with a 5.7 LS1 in it I may just have to take a look at... Just for the engine xD The horrid chrome trim is gonna have to go, might swap for just straight up black. Might also get the lights and windows tinted. Not gonna go NUTS cuz this is gonna be my daily.

I went on craigslist, and right away. I found this. A no rust Rx7 Fc shell with partial interior and a few things for the engine bay. I race over there extremely fast. (almost got pulled over twice) Bought it for 950. Just a shell but, hell its going to be fun building this thing! Its also RHD, im so stoked!

So I've actually been putting some work into the 240SX and I wanted to have some "fun" so I took it all the way to Pudsey. I had some business out there anyway so I figured I may as well just bring this car. Oh yeah, and I dropped it a lot more than last time I posted a picture.

Yes, that's right. I got stuck on the smallest ramp in the shop. Do you even scrape frame bro?

The ride was awful as the coils are on the lowest possible setting. I thought about towing it back home. I can't wait to get back into the 370Z.

Received suspension parts today (got them for 3,000 front and back with control arms and all) started fitting it all 6 A.M. (to excited to not do it right away) Finished around 5 P.M., got pretty frustrating pretty quick when there is no one around to help you. Anyway, If anyone is selling 18" 5 lug Wheels hit me up and if no one has an offer i might buy Kranze LXZ's, I need them pretty bad so the chassis doesn't get messed from sitting on the jack all day. Still need a wiring kit and lights, a seat and S. Wheel, and maybe a wing. Idk what ill do for the engine yet, Orignal 13B or a silly swap...

@Haku: Nice S13; I was thinking about slapping a 180/200/240SX front end on it but the whole thing is mint and I want to keep it original.

@JDMgoatleg: I'd go for a rotary. If you need a hand with it, let me know.

The recaro seat and a nice sparco wheel arrived. I've installed them and took it for a spin. Couldn't go fast because it lacks a windshield. I've found a trunk lid, the front grill + frame and the bumpers, too so I've bought them and installed them. I'll go for plexiglass windows. Justin will race in a series which requires headlights, taillights and bumpers. Also got nets as side windows.

Meanwhile I bought 1971 Ford Escort 1600 RS with a mighty Devils V6 95mm engine block. I started to like this little thing, even if I can't drive it. It is in pretty good condition, except of rust on the down side of floor. I gonna put a supercharger in it, fix the floor and blahblahblah.....
@Tom Diablo Sweet Camaro! How much horsepower your LS3 produces? I am sure that Justin will be glad from this car

@Tom Diablo

If you want the 240SX front end you can have it (with stock lights and hood included) for $400 (and I'll repaint it whatever colour you like) but the 240 bits on my car are all original as it came as a 240SX. I have a bunch of extra S13 front end bits.

@NothingToDo

Thanks for the kind words, Appreciate it.

@NothingToDo: Thanks! The Twin Turbo LS3 produces 532HP. Burns the tires as well as it burns gas XD

@Haku: Nah, I'll stick to the stock front end but thanks for the offer (The 180SX front end in the mod I use is riced AF  )

@Tom Diablo Thanks for info. 532hp is a serious number!

Meawhile I bought almost all of lights needed on my escort project and a bit of windows stuff. Steering wheel and seats are from Mazda FD that I've wrecked a long time ago, altough some of parts are still in good condition (Competition 13B-REW block tuned for single turbo setup, message me for details)

I've been looking after fuel system for Devil's V6, it wasn't hard, but I need to wait 3 days to make it arrived (Jesus Christ!). But finding a supercharger is really a pain in the a**. Looked in every shop in the Valo, aswell as internet shops, and still couldn't find it. The last hope is in the Devil's Vee shop.... Going there tomorrow. Ah forgot, bought the acumulator and put it in the trunk, since the engine bay has no place to fit it there. Ripped out the floor also, the new one is already in my garage, just need to fit it. (note: seats are there because I placed them to see how they will look on car, they are not placed on the old floor :)) )

I purchased the Kranze's off some guy at a meet who said they didn't match his car to well so be brought them along to try and sell them. i told him that i would buy them if i didn't get any other offers. Got them for $3000 with tires, got them alot cheaper than online becaused they have alittle curb rash. The car now has a front bumper and new disk brakes from brembo and is primered. Going to bey a 13B block soon, wireing kit and lights. Still need a seat and wheel.

I would hit up Kanagawa Touge with you, buut my RX-7 isn't in running condition :/ and also your 240SX looks sick, ratchet as fuck. Corvette blades are hot.
@JDMgoatleg, nice to see you making progress on your FC, it's getting good. The 18's look a little huge, they don't rub much on stock fenders?

Speaking of my RX-7, here's a little update.
Bought a set of VStanced coilovers and dropped the car down to a sexy height.

And my 17x10 Enkei RPF1's came in, I had them in machined gunmetal grey.

Also ripped the LS3 out of the car, would anyone like to buy the whole thing? Trans and everything included to drop in and run. All stock, 65k kilometers on the motor.

I bought my friend's partially built 2JZ. 3.2L stroker crank, built bottom end, HKS camshafts, Greddy intake manifold with a 95mm throttle body and 1200cc HKS fuel injectors. Debating between a Garrett ball bearing turbo or a Turbonetics twin scroll turbo.

From my 2JZ experience, the Garrett was the best turbo for power and money that I ran and I also run a Garrett on my 1000+WHP RB28 Skyline. I've got a couple turbos laying around and I can sell you one if you'd like. What kind of power are you trying to make?

Added 6 minutes later:

I have a GTW3476R which is good for 450-700HP with probably about 900KMs on it, as well I have a stock RB20DET turbocharger from my old RB which is a T25 or T28 series with a T3 flange apparently, don't know as much about it as I bought the first one from the Turbo by Garrett site. Has about 45000KMs on it. Probably good for about 300-325HP, daily status stuff.

We can go run it again right now if you'd like :))

Added 1 hour 11 minutes later:

This is my 1989 Toyota Supra MK3. I purchased it from the second owner, who bought it from the original owner in 2000. The car is incredibly clean, hardly driven, and well maintained. The paint is original, though a little faded. This car is a relic and almost all original except for a couple things.

1) If you know a little about MK3 Supras, you'll know that these rear lights are the correct for the year of the car. These particular lights are off a 1992 model. The last owner preferred that style but also included the original tails with the car.

2) The outside of this car is nearly pure, but the heart of this car is something other than the 7M or 1JZ you might traditionally find in this car. The owner I bought this car off of told me a story about the car and so this is what I know. Back in 1998 the original owner (who also took amazing care of this car) started experiencing problems with the 7M and eventually let it sit until it was purchased in 2000. The new owner got the car back into running shape, but decided that he wanted more power for his money, yet something that was still in the engine family. In 2002 he did an engine swap to a VVTi 2JZGTE. The car still has this, as well as a 5 Speed Manual transmission.

This is a car that I'd like to keep for a long time after hearing the heritage of it. The driving experience of this car is amazing. I'm going to refresh the car, maybe bring it's paint back to original glory and do the usual suspension and wheels. I'd like to bring it back to the time of the early 2000s. Not in the Fast and Furious ricer styling, but in period correct wheels and simpler things.

Oh and I sold my foxbody for something that just got to my shop today. It's crazy, stay tuned.
