CRINGEWORTHY FANFICTION SKILLS IN 3...2...1...

What's up, people? You may have seen my first post here, well, I have good news and bad news. Let's get on to the need-to-know basis. I was just cruising around the city in my daily driver, a Honda CRX. It was my 18th birthday, so my parents gave me 16,000 quid and told me to go look for a car. Anyway, I was cruising around when I found a very pleasing sight - a Nissan Skyline R32.

It was sitting inside a sort of an open workshop, lots of cars and people working on said cars. I've talked to the guy who owned the shop and asked about the 32, and apparently it used to belong to a locally famous drifter, nicknamed Big Boss, who crashed it. Since it used to be ex drift-spec, it has all the things you'd want. Widebody, a bit... down to earth, if you know what I mean, racing rollcage, among other things.

Good news first. The car's chassis is mostly intact. The team the famous drifter belonged to, whose name was Singh, bought the wrecked car in and straightened out all the dented bits and removed the panels that were too badly damaged to be of any use.

Bad news is, the RB26 that's in the car blew up, [Which was apparently what caused the crash in the first place. Locked the rear wheels up, I assume. Owner didn't say much.] and that the team didn't want to bother trying to fix a motor that might be irreparable. The only thing that was in pristine condition were, for some reason, the turbocharger inside, plus the racing intercooler and piping.

Anyway, the owner agreed to sell me the car for 15,000 quid. The reason why it's so cheap is because it's been sitting there for 4 years and the owner wanted to get rid of it. So I bought it, and had it towed to my friend's garage.

Whipped my phone out and snagged a picture.

(Yes, yes, crappy screen resolution and unrealistic damage. 1: I was in windowed mode. 2: I can't be bothered to run into walls and trees for 30 minutes just to make my car "look like it's been involved in a car accident." Ignore the epic multi-trillion dollar equipment behind, I didn't have much choice in garage mods.)

@ Tom Hello mate, could you find me a RB26DETT and a 2JZ-GTE engines please? Stock or tuned, or both, depending of what you find. I will also need some body parts for a Chaser...
Well i decided to bring this shell back to life and maybe build a drift machine as i can't manage to sell it.

For now i just installed some coils and steelies, a steering wheel and a crappy seat so i can move it when needed.

In the meanwhile, the carbon roof is now hard and dry. My girlfriend did the cutting and polishing while i was painting the rx-8 wing.

Are you even allowed to RP another VStanced user as dead? I mean, you were referring to BB, right?

Anyways, my camera died, but I am at a rest stop right now grabbing a bite to eat.

For anybody who is thinking it,

"Boosted, how are you driving two cars home?"

I'm towing them. Did you really think I would drive a car with awful gas mileage all the way to Nikko. What would happen if I crashed it worse than I did? How would i get back? Anyways, I am about 1/2 the way home. See you soon!

@NK748 I've got a 2JZ-GE that i was planning to rebuild. (NA with 200hp) It needs some work, cylinder head is in bad condition, but i cleaned it up already, because like i said, was planning to rebuild it. The internals are ok though, probably the head is the only problem. I don't need it anymore because i got a complete HKS engine from Lucky1913.
If you need it, just tell me. :)

Also i noticed an huge dent on my roof, my engine havent been running smoothly either... I heard unusual popping and cracking from the engine bay. BTW My intercooler is ded. I catched some air and landed hard on the front, my front bumper got fucked @ that moment.

Speaking of... I really need a daily that's not 600WHP or above. >_>;

(Skyline has tunes between 450 and 900WHP; Supra has tunes between 350 and 800. Both are horrible on gas mileage, the Supra doesn't have rear seats, and the Skyline feels like it'll tear my head off if I mistreat it; so neither of them is really a good daily driver in any regard.)

Yeah, no, seriously, I should go look at one of those cheap Civics like I picked up when I was pinching pennies saving up for the R33's current engine.

Roof rack installed from old car, VW styled center caps.

Headlights tinted with yellow film, signals blacked out. Don't think I like the signal but not sure about the frenched headlights. What do you think, clear or yellow?

Nice progress, my Camino is still the daily because I haven't been able to find a different car.
Having 700+Hp in a daily isn't fun when there is snow and ice everywhere.

If anyone has an idea of what to get please inform me!

Personally, I prefer clear. But hey, it's ultimately your choice :)

Note to self, check hood latches...

But yeah, I am home now. When the hood flew up I almost shit myself. The hood joints themselves were rusty as hell so it just snapped off. Luckily it didn't hit the car or anybody else's car. I had to go back and collect it so that was a bit embarassing, but everything worked out...

I hit the brakes so hard. ABS wasn't an option until 94' on Foxes and mine is a 93, I'm just lucky the van behind me (which was towing the Supra)and Marcus, were far enough back that they had time to react. Thanks for not being a tailgating dick and saving yourselves. LOL

I know how you feel, lol. The R33 has a 4" downpipe and it's kind of ridiculous.

# ThatBoostedGuy : Note to self, check hood latches...
Heh... Interesting coincidence. I just started looking at installing AeroCatch latches (look what I made) on both of my cars. Not having hood pins was starting to make me nervous.

# ThatBoostedGuy : ABS wasn't an option until 94' on Foxes and mine is a 93
Did they make a '94 Fox? I thought that was when they introduced the SN95.

Yeah I thought Foxbodys went until '94 but I guess I was mistaken. ABS still wasn't an option until '94 iirc but SN95's were in production.

More good news and bad news.

Good news first, we took apart all the panels and all the extra bits and sold them all off for 2,500 quid, which nets us more budget to restore the car back to its' glory.

We also found one of the rims in the boot - I'm sorry - trunk of the car. Looks like those Singh guys just stashed it there. Also came with a brake pad.

The rims were, unsurprisingly, original. No cheap plastic Chinese knockoffs here. What surprises me is that they're still in good condition. You'd expect a crash that devastated the entire front end of a car to damage the wheels in some way.

My buddy also told me they had found a some spare 32 engine bay subframes, so we painted those black [Because BLAAAACK] and fit them on, then placed the headlights on top.

As for the engine, here's an official situation report. As expected, the block is completely rotten. One big crack on the left side of it, which means it can't be used anymore, obviously. Turbos, crank and intercooler were fine, but the conrods were in half and the pistons have small holes in the middle. We inspected the top half of it and the cams were still fine, along with the fuel system. Naturally, the intake manifold is done.

So what we're gonna do is to scrap the engine block, pistons, conrods and everything else that's broken, and try and see if there's anyone here that needs RB26 parts so we can sell off the parts that still work. We're also going to be selling the rims that came with the car, they are size 19 and make and model are as follows:

Gram Lights 579, Regamaster EVO, Work Meister S1, and finally, Volk TE37V. We looked those up and they are pretty rare, especially the Meister, so the full set will be $1,500 including the tires for them. I'll have them delivered if you decide to buy 'em.

So right now, what me and my buddies are trying to do is to find some new rims and new body panels, as this will be my new daily. We'll come back to you guys once we've done that. If you're interested in either the rims or the RB26 parts then don't hesitate to contact me at (-Insert Number Here-).

(If anyone can find the mods that those rims are then they're yours xD)

@nk748: You could have the 2JZ-GTE that was in my brother's Altezza. Needs a rad, both oil coolers and intercooler + piping. The rest is fine. It has a single turbo but I can't recall if it is a GReddy or a HKS one.
There is a RB26DETT on the local junkyard. Came out of a R33 GT-R. It's stock so far and complete including AWD transmission and wiring. I'd check the price if you are interested.

Thanks Tom i'd take both for now but i may soon add some parts for 2JZ if i get the one from Lagano, so don't ship too soon.

In the meanwhile, i'm looking for a van or truck to fetch cars and parts... i'm on something kinda uncommon in Europe, you'll see it if the deal is done!

@NK748 You can have the 2JZ for 800€, because of the problems i mentioned before. But i'm sure you can get replacement parts with no problem. :)
But if you want to get there, it will be quite a long trip for you, cause i'm in Slovenia, man.

So, after quite a while, I am back with a new project, that beign a Mitsubishi Galant VR4 with blown rear shocks and Legacy wheels...A bit of rust here and there, but I can deal with that I guess. Anyway, my plan is building this into a sleeper as it is a 4G63T so it won't be the hardest thing, I'ma do the suspension first though.

I'm out chilling at Sekia Hills today for a nice open drift day, come by, say hi, and shred some tires! Out here mainly to test my new Hey Man steering knuckles and Parts Shop Max arms. Also adjusted the 326power coilovers some more, sitting even lower, and more front camber.

I've got three sets of spares today, so plenty of rubber.
