So I'm up north right now visiting some friends, and I decided to bring the S13 :D :D

Before I left, though, I did a single turbo swap for the 2JZ.

Old manifold and set up out

New single turbo set up in

Then I decided that the break in process would be me driving up to my friends place. It's about a 7 hour drive north. I started mid day but as it got darker, less and less people were around. Decided to find some back roads and have a little fun... :D

and then posing before starting on the remaining 45 minutes of the trip :))

I think she's looking pretty with the front end conversion. Needs some paint but I know how that goes :)) I'll have to repaint it anyway so I think I'll leave her for a little while, or until I get too annoyed by the mis matching panels and decide to do something. Stay tuned for progress, may come back and drift these roads again, just will have to try not to get caught ;)

# 2jzCookie : @Ey Papa Do you still have that S54b32 engine for sale?
XD I have one, too; It's the CSL version

I'm checking out some air intakes and try to fit a twin carb setup into the shaker hole of the Cuda hood

-->one week later<--
I went to a place that could be called a giant flea market for classic US car parts. There were parts for Novas, Challenger+Charger, Barracuda, Fury, Mustang... you name it!
I got a complete 6-Pack for my 383...

...and some other goodies. Now the Cuda is done! My grandpa loves it XD

Next up will be my Neon. I sold the BMW dragster for a pretty penny so I got enough money for building up the Neon.

Since the engine is sitting around wasting precious space and I am a nice guy, you can have it for just 1200 bucks. I can bring it over with my Sierra.

Thinking about getting a truck. Any recommendations? I'm thinking either S10 from the 90's (Sierra or Silverado) C20, or C30 even. Kinda like those old duallies :))
Been researching but I figure some of you guys know? Also maybe a dodge but I haven't really found much out there that I want. (Because mods are limited :)) )

I'm currently using a 1993 GMC Sierra and it's holding up quite well. Got it for cheap because of the high mileage. It's a bit rusty, too. Been to Phoenix, AZ with that thing. Maybe if you give me a good offer I might sell you my Sierra since I am looking for a 1966 C10 to restore.
OR you can get a 1980s GMC Vandura /Chevy Van. They offer plenty of space and should be cheap to get.

As much as I'd love to take it off your hands, I'm also leaning more towards like an 87.

Show me some pics, I'm interested regardless :P

Perfect! You can come over right now. It's 322 Pelmont drive, southern Valo. I'll park my yellow Neon ACR outside so you can see where you need to go.
It has it's stock 5.4L. (Hauler's V8 from the STAGE1_2011) (Sent you the PM)

On my way, gonna take a taxi B)

Thanks again.

Update :D

When and picked up the Sierra.

Already having fun on my way home, doing not so legal things :))

But I hit a trash bin :))

I changed my mind on this truck, it was supposed to be a simple truck to tow things around but it looks like I'm going to end up sliding this thing to death just like the S13. Maybe I'll make the S13 a competition car and not beat it so hard :))

Put in some old coilovers to get her sitting nice and pretty.

Also before I go, on my way back to Valo I drifted those back roads again and got some nice photos.

Lastly, before I got the truck I fixed the camber in the back of the S13, giving myself some more of a contact patch :D

More in the future.

2 weeks after selling the Sierra to Haku, I found my new project: A 1966 Chevrolet C10. It was used on a farm and is in rather sad shape. One of the first things I will do is replacing the bed on it. Not sure if I will go for the stepside or the fleetside bed. The motor is toast and I towed it with my trusty Neon. The C10 was last on the road in 1979 according to the plate.

Great find, I think you should go stepside, as most people go fleetside short bed :D

Also may look cool if you use wheels from the generation of C/K that I bought from you. Just throwing out ideas

Hmmm.... I'll check out the stepside bed if I manage to find one in somewhat usable condition. OR a longbed if I find one. (The wheels are mod-only if I am not mistaken so I can't put them on the C10) With the wheels I think I'll check out some other C10s as I want it classic

(Mine are always at the very front of my 17 inch rim section, that's why I recommended :P )

So I drove back up north to investigate something that I thought I saw last time I was in the area. Didn't want to be snooping around at midnight.

Drove up onto someone's farm house because I thought I spotted a car worth looking at inside.
I went and found the owners of the house, an older couple probably about 65-70 years old. I talked to them a little while, then asked about the car in the barn.

Went out and heard the unmistakable sound of a boxer when it finally decided to turn over and the gentleman drove it outside.

Now once I saw this, the first thing I thought was "I already own three cars damnit, I can't afford to get a fourth."

But then I saw the paper work for the car. It was a genuine, from the factory, GC8 STi. Obviously not in factory condition, but the car is very salvageable.

I asked him what he wanted for it and he said $2000. I was very shocked. He told me it had been sitting there for a long about 7 years in the same condition. His grandson and him and worked on the engine a few times and that's why it was even able to start. He liked to play in the car, but he eventually lost interest. I bought it from him and thanked him for even showing me. So now I own another STi. It's funny to think that I'm a Nissan guy but I own 2 Subarus and my only Nissan has a Toyota engine.

Also if you've been around since very very early in this thread, you'd know my first car was a GC as well, but it wasn't an STi, just a 2.5. I sold that car a long time ago but it's nice to have one with much more past to it. Stay tuned for more, going to be a race car build.

So, meanwhile, I've sold my Vauxhall, Golf & Camaro. Now only cars I have are BMW E39 M5 &... Nissan Skyline GTR R34! I bought GTR today, it's pretty great. Well I think so. But I don't like color, it's like some dusty plastic.
It's V-Spec (Type-R lol MCM) with RB26DETT 2.6 litre engine. It's completely stock vehicle, so far :D

About the M5, I managed to break something in the engine but I'm not sure yet what it is...

Put a lot of work into the s14 the last few days. since she is my missile I figured it was time to treat her properly. I stripped all the interior pieces that were of no importance and installed a sweet 5 point roll cage I bought from the Get Nutz Lab out in Vegas. it is a formula D regulation cage just like the one Forest Wang uses in his car.

I also installed 2 bride Zeta seats, because what's the fun of drifting if you cant kill your buddy too? ;)

Finally to round out the day, I installed some tein coilovers and some Mr. Sir D1 spec steering knuckles. she's ready for the track. Just look at that steering lock!

Now I am in the position to get this baby up and running, does anyone have an rb engine block for sale? ive got an idea..

It's been a while since i last updated on my cars, the AE86 is just a sitting duck right now i haven't been around the track for a reason.

The Supra how ever.. -sigh- I've been in the hospital for a few days, nothing serious just some bruises and a sprained wrist.
as i was cruising on the highway in Valo City i got rear ended, i was going 60 in the center lane when this guy just smashed into me. the last thing i remember were the screeching tires and the guard rail coming closer. after that it's just a blank memory.

After they released me from the hospital i went to the impound lot where they stored the Supra, after asking where it was parked and walking towards it my heart broke. seeing a car that feels like a friend, which i cherish with all my heart being destroyed like this.. it's just terrible.
The Front and rear bumper are gone, front left fender is also gone, exhaust pipe and line got deformed, the intercooler plus piping got smashed, so did the oil and transmission oil cooler. The front left suspension system got damaged beyond repair, i can't steer to the left anymore. The engine runs but it's not in a good shape. i always thought i would crash at a high speed not as i was just cruising to blow off some steam.. :(

i don't know what i'll do with it, sell, stash or fix it

If you need some help fixing it, you can bring it by my friend's body shop and we will work on it until it's like new again. Hate to see a car end up with such a fate, but it is fixable. Let me know, I can even give you some 2JZ parts if you need them :D

@Haku, The Sierra is awesome. Based on the Silverados chassis, and I had one. Thing saved my life (Mostly lol)

@Snowfox I want you to bring that Supra over to my shop. I will fix up the engine and suspension for free man. I see how much you love that car (I really like it too) and I want to help you out.

Also, Looking at getting an E36 Bimmer, and trying to restore the FrankenLevin to stock, minus the engine...

Loving it so far, have big plans for it.

As for the new Subaru, had a some friends come over to help me as they want to see this thing race spec as soon as possible.

Suspension was in pretty good condition for a car that had been sitting still for a long while but still old spring set up needed to go and coilovers were added

As well, some Work Ewings were thrown on because we needed some wheels, so they are temporary.

started sanding the car down

Bolted on fender flares and also replace missing windshield + missing headlight with one I had lying around from the old 2.5

New exhaust, straight pipe to 3" pipe

Took it out for a "mildly paced break in"

Anyone want an EJ25 Single turbo? This one is getting removed in the morning and we are installing a custom build EJ25 twin turbo.

$1000 OBO for an engine with 62000 KMs on it, and it's a factory STi engine.

That's it for now, much more to come.

Well, while my GS300 is busy being a financial burden, I'm driving around in my friend's Cressida. It's as original as possible- even down to the engine and interior. My GS300 will be in the garage for a couple of days because it needs a diagnostic scan as well as the timing needs to be fixed.

I must say, my car is damn low compared to this Cressy.

Anyone have any ideas on what I should get next? I'm looking for something I can use as a slightly more accessible daily than either one of the R33s. The GTR used to be my daily, but it's a little too wild to handle now (and it rips through gasoline); and the drift car is, well, a drift car.

I've got an RB30 bottom end with a Nitto 3.2 stroker kit I bought while putting an R32 together with a friend; I got an offer I couldn't refuse on the shell, so I'm parting ways with the engine. It'll be $1100, since the block and pistons are used and I don't want to sell the crank / conrods separately. You want it?

Sure could. I'll have to consider that. :P The Subaru might be nice, too. Maybe if I find a decent Suzuki SX4, I'll take a look at that; I've always liked those, even if Suzuki is leaving the US market and service might be a pain.

Definitely worth a look, even if you get a non STI subaru it can be plenty of fun. Can't beat the fun of a GTR though, that will hopefully be my next venture as I haven't driven one in a long time.

That's why I drive a Neon; It goes more easy on the fuel than a Barracuda with a 340 did. Now that it has a 383 it guzzles a bit more XD
I got my Neon for a reasonable price, maybe you are lucky, too? I've seen one at Joe's dealership. (The mod is quite good so you might give it a shot)

Whatever I get next is definitely going to be a four cylinder! :P The GTR was a little easier on gas when I had milder cams and lower boost, although the "2.9" stroker kit definitely couldn't have helped things out much! On the other hand, the car accelerates like nothing else I've owned (i.e. built in SLRR), so I can hardly complain!

Sounds good! I'm tempted to look at a GDB 2.5RS or something, especially. Good luck with finding a GTR!

Bonus: A pic of my car as it currently sits. I tore off the race livery, since it was a wrap I had on the car for a track day:

Thanks, man! ;) I was hoping it wouldn't be too much. :P I'm still on the fence about exchanging the TE37s for a white set a buddy has, but I think the red and gold is a neat combination.

It's a real shame about that Supra; that was a really nice car while it was around. Let me know if I can help with the rebuild / replacement at all.

Here my first project:
I found a 1986 AE86 Trueno owned by a 40 years old man that used that car as a "fun car"...
The car is in not in good conditions: front and rear bumpers are broken, same thing for the hood and the rear right panel.. here some pics of the car...

Soon i will start repairing the body.

I've already ordered a lot of new components:
-a new set of suspensions (with H&R club sport springs and H&R street performance shocks)
-new brakes (wilwood dynapro 6 POT at front and 4 POT at the rear, with brembo racing discs 332mm front 300mm rear)
-HRE 501 vintage 18x10 with 245/20 R18 michelin pilot
-chargespeed front bumper lip
-TRD wing and fenders
And more!

I've done small updates on my R34. (well now I realized that it's illegal in 'murica & I RP living here, but who cares? It's a video game)
I bought & installed:
  • Enkei (17") rims
  • Koni coilovers (used)
  • Small carbon trunk lip wing
  • Cleaned engine bay
  • White smoked bumper reflectors

I have a feeling it's going to be some sort of race-car...

    # Tom Diablo : @Haku: I like the Subaru you found. Maybe I'll trade my Neon for one like that when the C10 is done...

Thanks man, I love these things. Lots of potential. I must be honest, I don't know how long I'll be keeping this one, so when your truck is finished you can always throw me out an offer ;) For now I'm going to keep it and have some fun with all the new things I've ordered.

    # Harrison15 : Sounds good! I'm tempted to look at a GDB 2.5RS or something, especially. Good luck with finding a GTR!

Thank you, I appreciate it. Your R33 is absolutely gorgeous, as well as Coprone's R34. Maybe that's why I have GTR fever. I'd be getting an R32. I'm more of a 4 door skyline guy but I'd rather have that attesa AWD.

Your R34 is stunning, looks perfect already, Can't wait to see what you do to it.

Also if police want to take it, pretend it's from Canada ;) They are legal after 15 years where as in the USA it's 25 years. Or outrun them ;)

    Update, Progress on GC8

    Goodies arrived :D

Then she went into the paint booth.

Went for a little feature after paint

Engine was supposed to be what I did today, but the engine was delayed and I don't have it yet, so nothing I can do about that. Didn't want to drop the old engine until the new one arrives. It's supposed to be tomorrow, so we will see. I'll just have to do some work to the Sierra or something today.

    Nice color on that impreza!
    First AE86 situation update:
I repaired the body and repainted it (I don't have photos of the reparation)... Here the results:

During the time the car was at the paint shop i found a tuned 4A-GE with 256Hp for only 1200$ (he crashed his car and then he stopped racing and sold the engine), so I bought it and installed on the car after the body work.

The engine is amazing! It's really fast at high rpms but it loose power in the range from 2000 to 4000rpm.. I don't know how to tune it in order to solve the problem..

    Anyone can help me?
The last thing I made is the interior.. I love the way it looks!

Soon the finished project, missing only few things and the car is complete!

I drove by this guys house and noticed a galant sitting behind his garage. I walked up to the house and asked about the galant, He walked me out to the back and told me what happened to it. He said that he was on the highway off ramp during winter hit an ice patch and smacked the curb, he rolled it and its been sitting for 5 and a half years. The whole car is scratched up and rusted and wanted to see what condition the motor was, so I took a look at the motor and it looks like its about to fall out but, it looks very clean.

    Should I buy it?

    # JDMgoatleg : (my first time doing this so if you can tell me how to upload pictures it would be greatly appreciated)

You can create an account on the Vstanced Uploader or "Image Hosting" which you can find at the top of the page, then upload to there. Click on the photo you want then click "embed codes" and copy the first line called "bb code"
Paste that line in here and the photo will show as ours do.

Looking forward to working on the Supra. I've always enjoyed those... The 1JZ's in them are very venerable engines. What do you guys think I should do with the Levin? Maybe a Kouki front end conversion?
