yo harrison, any chance of getting more parts from that CommoConfigurator? i saw some bumpers and quarterpanels that might be worth considering. Also WAGON he had a model in that configurator, would be totally awesome too, love the progress thus far.

We'll have to see. I got the model for the HSV E1 front bumper from EFFalcon, but I haven't imported it yet. The models from CommoConfigurator don't quite line up with the Forza models, so I have to adapt the parts onto the Forza mesh before using them. If this works out, and if I have sufficient demand, I might ask him for the Commodore Calais and Omega meshes too.
The one difficulty I have had is getting a Pontiac G8 GT (not GXP) front bumper. This isn't super important, but it would be a nice touch, as the non-GXP front bumper gives a different look to the front of the car. Unfortunately, I can't find one of these anywhere. As far as the wagon, you'd probably have to ask Marco. I am not good enough at modeling to do what he did with the Ute - he basically grafted the entire front end of the G8 from the doors forward onto the Ute body. The CommoConfigurator VE wagon model doesn't have interior, so it would also be a question of adapting the rear interior from the G8 to fit. |

Oh, sweet! That should be a nice addition, once someone rips it. I'd ideally also like the rear bumper, too, since the rear splitter on that bumper is closer to the stock Commodore SS splitter.

Stock exhausts still need to be imported, but, yes.
@ Marco: If you need the G8 GXP front and rear bumper sources again, I can send them. It might take me a while, though. This post was edited by Harrison15 (2013-11-28 04:45, ago) |

ETA: This mod will be released when it's done.
Don't expect it until maybe January or February. I still have to do a lot more parts for it, and update a few older things. |

Stock exhaust tips are done.
@ kikass1977 : It will use the standard MC_Prime_Superduty engine. Making engines from scratch is a little outside of my skill set. However, the car does now also include a stock radiator, which should look good enough in most screenshots unless you remove it. I've been using the Devil's V8 by Mihon in all of my screenshots. |

Other than the front bumper, that shouldn't be too hard. I'd just have to model a new diffuser for the HSV E1 rear bumper, fix the Senator spoiler (something I was already going to do anyway), and make some badges (and the stock badges aren't done yet anyway). The rest could pretty easily be accomplished with painting.

Performed a long-overdue fix to the HSV front quarterpanels. They no longer clip into the chassis.
Also made some slightly different HSV Senator quarter panels. These are not formally added yet, but soon will be. Added 1 day later: More stuff. I just separated the Pontiac grille from the bumper. I also made a new version of the Senator spoiler, and did a lazy mockup of the HSV Senator with the in-game painter. This post was edited by Harrison15 (2013-12-14 23:17, ago) |

I'll have to see. It will depend on whether or not I can find a decent 3D source.
I also have several more parts in the back-log, so it's not a priority. Sorry. Added 12 days later: Quick update - I've been working on badges lately: This post was edited by Harrison15 (2013-12-27 18:49, ago) |

That's a nice project, the car has a nice front and one hell of an ugly ass, but anyhow you're doing a great job.
I'd like to ask if you thought about making a 2005 Pontiac GTO Holden/Vauxhall Monaro HSV GTS This car has it all. |

I might do the GTO/Monaro, yes, but probably not with that body kit. That's the Coupe4 (AWD model) kit with wide arches, and I might not be able to make that kit properly.
As far as the car looking ugly at the rear - have you seen the non-HSV version of the rear end? I like the standard version (this version) better than the HSV, personally, but a lot of people seem to prefer the HSV. |
