Actually...
These are 19" wheels. The Fit is a surprisingly big car; it's just tall, and the front and rear overhangs are short, so it looks smaller than it is. (Holy carp. Cars have gotten really big these days. You could raise the Fit's suspension, put on plastic body cladding Subaru-Outback-style, and call it a mini-SUV-thing.)
This is a Fit on 16" wheels:

That said, for practical reasons, a little bit smaller is probably better, since no one has very many wheels bigger than 19". I just learned the same thing with my work-in-progress Holden Commodore mod. Also, it is very hard to judge a car's size based on the size of the wheels. The best method is to measure the wheel width versus the wheel-well width (horizontally). Judging from the gap at the top of the wheel, or from the apparent height of the wheel, is misleading. Tire size also changes things considerably - 19" wheels will look smaller when combined with low-profile tires. Then again, the most accurate way to measure size is to compare it to another car with a known "correct" size!

Nice car, though. One nitpick: fix those unwelded vertices on the bumpers.
