Hi my name is Daniel, I work at a local car importer fulltime, I do some importing but mainly servicing and maintenance on all the new cars coming through our workshop. A few weeks ago I was going through the auctions and seen a 1984 Toyota Mark II GX71 hardtop pop up,further investigation revealed that it had infact had the factory motor removed and replaced with an SR20DE from a 1988 Nissan Silvia S13. I just had to have it, so V$4,000 and now its mine and here in New Zealand where I live. Small little update, My boss imported some sets of wheels to sell and had a set of SSR longchamps XR4
    As soon as I test fitted them I fell in love, so V$1000 later and they are mine. |

Been a long week but here is an update
So long story short my boss imported an AE86, it was a risk not knowing the condition of the underside but it was too cheap to miss out We got it in at the start of the week and it had a little rust on the chassis rails (repairable but not roadworthy in New Zealand) He offered it to me for V$6,000, after much thought I said yes. Dunno what my plans are for it this stage but it will never be road legal again |

Nice, another 86! I guess it will be a track/drift car, we have an 86 too but yours looks way more complete than ours.

The plans are to make it a track car more towards circuit racing at the local car club rather than a sole drift build, but I will be going to a drift event here and there

AE86 Progress
 Roll Cage is done, went with a half cage as it was just a need for events. Next on the list is a Bucket seat and harness. GX71 Progress  So over the last week I went abit nuts with the GX71. Its on Cut springs (will be replaced with coil overs in the near future) external oil cooler which is feeding nicely cooled oil to the SR20DE. I've also added a roof spoiler and removed the mudguards as it is too low for them now. |

I forgot to mention that I also got some ITBS for the SR real cheap, aswell as a chipped ECU to run them, its running average at the moment, will need to tune them |
