Whoops, sorry for the lack of updates. I was busy dealing with legal issues with changing the front-end of the 240SX Coupe. The DMV didn't like the front end swap during the inspection, because the car was originally pop-up headlights and it became static. They were not satisfied with the safety and the light angle they desired. Actually I've done the swap last year once and it had no problem at all, or maybe it has been more strict since. Well, I just decided to spend another fortune and swap it into Onevia again, at least I had to get this thing road legal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Aside the front-end swap, I brought a new set of 18-inch FD-50S for V$ 4500. It reminded me of the old Panasport wheels and I really dig this style. I sold the Advan AC3 for V$ 1500 to mend my wallet for more parts in the future. I guess the DMV will fight over about the lack of turn signals in the front, but oh well. I also got the OEM rear spoiler for USDM 240SX for V$150 and it was really hard to find. I also focused on the inside of the car. Since the 180SX Fastback was almost stock, I am doing more stuff on this almost-identical twin. Nardi Steering wheel for V$ 215, Apexi FC for V$ 550, Defi Turbo Gauge for V$ 70, Defi BF Tachometer for V$ 270, Blitz Manometer for V$ 200. Also, I got the HKS EVC Boost Controller for V$ 300, hydraulic E-brakes for V$ 80, Gear shifter for V$ 50, and used pair of Bride Low Max bucket seats for V$ 900. Stripping the interior was not my thing, and the wiring was a pain in the ass. Also, the E-brake setup is not fully done yet. I have to work on additional pistons and adapter to fit in the rear wheel hub. Still more stuff to be done on this car! |

Thank you guys for all the compliments! I've been daily driving this floor-sweeping 180SX for a while, and I decided spice up my car with some go-kart wheels. I thought 15 inches were too low for daily driving (already too low but anyway) so I've been searching for some rebarreled Kyusha wheels, and I came up with these. On the front, these are 16-inch SSR MKII wheels with red paint on the spokes. On the rear, I put these 16-inch SSR MK1 wheels. I hope those brake heat doesn't mess the brake fluid. |

Thank you guys! During one week, I stored my 240SX to the garage with a help of Mr. Lee getting the car inspected and registered correctly. It was really a roller coaster ride tho. But this car makes me smile all the time. I guess I have to focus on the details on this car for now. |

I think it looked even better with Advans tho, a bit more aggressive. And of course your 180 is still looking good too, the new wheels kinda counter its clean look but it looks very interesting now! |

Thanks to Radcoon, I could get the sweet sets of sticker for V$ 135! I guess I should get more of those. Thank you guys. Actually owning a Japanese classics here is really challenging, but it is showing progress. I prefer driving the 240SX with lights up, I don't know why. It just looks so cool. Pop-up ftw. I also bought a pair of used Bride Gias II seats for V$ 1200. The previous Low Max seats will go to the 180SX fastback. Just can't resist myself to put some anime related stickers and such. |

It's a toy! It's over 30'C here these days in Korea, and the worst thing is the life without air conditioning and lack of window tint. Well, I've picked this Tico for dirt cheap price, and it still had some issues obviously. The AC was not working, the tires needed to be fixed, the interior has been worn out pretty bad, the carburated engine had to be cleaned, the brakes has to be checked, and the tires had to be replaced. With these so many problems, this Kei-car based Korean shitbox gives me the smile, because this car is part of Korean culture! I and 11K shared a lot of Tico-related jokes during our childhood days, when these cars were so common on the streets. But now, it is considered a cult classic, and most of the used cars headed to other countries which made this car cost pretty much a lot. Consider it the "cult classic tax" here. I sorta fixed the back seat backwards, to make more room on the back to store more stuff, just like a van so Mr. Lee, 11K and I could use it as a personal delivery van, but the slips are on my hands. The funny thing is, the rear bumper happens to be replaced to the European spec ones, which is considered a unicorn part here. I guess that will appeal to most Korean car lovers out there. As the car registration law has been revised, I now cannot retain these old-school green plates anymore. I have to change it into one of those white modern ones, which my 240SX and Supra already have. Since this Tico has Euro bumpers on the back... Why not trying to get longer plate this time? I prefer Super Tico, which eventually has many minor differences to this "Zenki" Tico, such as fender flares, two-tone color scheme, power steering, automatic transmission, and wing! As I mentioned before, the Tico is getting harder and harder to find, so finding these parts would be some kind of junkyard hunting for me. Sounds interesting... |
