# Crazy Eighty Eight :

What a weekend

Updates and Full Vid Soon to Come

Yeah, what a weekend it was man! Since you will be here for few more weeks we are going to do a lot of other cool things! Even tho I am true Nissan lover and kinda "purist" seeing your build in person was an awesome experience, even tho it has wrong heart, a V8! You definitely painting that car overhere in our local painting shop, the one that Skip painted his Supra. Aah, shit is gonna get real real good very soon my man, can't wait to see the full vid and the news that you have!

Would I regret this ?

So the night before I kinda hinted that I bought a GTR well, I did, and I'm kinda not regretting it and I think I'm right in saying I bought the cheapest R34 GTR in Japan, not saying the bastard was cheap, I paid V$32,000.00 for it, the whole reason how I ended up with it is simple, chilling with Mackay drank quite a lot of his sake and got convinced into buying a GTR since lets be honest I was surrounded by all of his.

And mine is as basic as it gets.

But it's a GTR and my second one at that and it puts a big smile on my face.

Oh and on the video with my S13 and Kay's GTR is on the way was a bit busy with tourist shit.

You delivered on your word my man, even though we were in a way intoxicated, we are doing some minor things before I leave in September.

WAY DIFFERENT!!!

Get one quick they are going up in value quickly find a 99' with high mileage.

First Thing First

Well mods, aesthetic enhancements and the basics, coil overs (given I spent most of my money on the GTR) used adjustable Tien Street Basis', Used Work CR-Kais and well some body mods.

Knock-off Z-tune Fiber glass fenders (Nismo actually still sell these but they are only in carbon fibre and I don't have CF money)

Same with the Wing stands, these aren't CF they're *ahem* wrapped CF

But I mean look at her she looks sick as shit still, lowered with more aggressive bits make a R34 look kick ass.

Next I need to get this painted so it can look the part.

From nothing, to something and later on to everything, that is the game plan for this GTR! I can't wait to see what will you do with it, also if you really need a good paint job done, then come to us again, a local guys near my shop paints cars perfectly, Skips Supra was painted there, and countless jobs done for me by them. Aah, I really hope that you will go with us to R's meet too, I am taking you, I don't care if you need to go home haha.

Back in America

Continuity is a motherf*cker, and my absence has kinda screwed with my RP, rushed builds and unexplained shit, so to qualm this I'm clearing out everything and starting from scratch on my return, so the GTR is staying in japan for a while, but the Supra is gone (had no choice), but the S13 is still in Japan and I'm left with the dad mobile the Merc, so what comes next is nothing too outlandish so I'm gonna be taking my absolute time on the next build and I'm gonna be extremely detailed in all aspects.

Brought back a souvenir.

Car Check

So on my return state side I had some business taken care of, Mac suggested to stay JP for another build, so on his advice I sold my Supra, and replaced it with this:

NISSAN SILVIA S15 Spec R

So its basically a typical auction S-Chassis, obscure body kit, it came with some knock off Works,(I sold them and right now its on steelies) with some minor bolt ons and a minor boost increase, the rest of the car is bone stock as shit.

I honestly don't know what I want to do with it yet, but first the body and Altezza lights have to go, I'm keeping the original Nismo front but the early 2000s kit has to go pronto, I had the original front, skirts and rear bumper bought and ordered so its suppose to come in tomorrow on Wednesday.

Now I'm back to S-Chassis and I'm gonna enjoy the fuck out of it, and before I forget the car is on its way to be registered (some sketchy shit since S15s are illegal but in CA its no problem if you know what you're doing) I've sent in the application for the vanity plate and I should get actual plate at the end of the month.

peep the C63 slammed, god I love her.

Note: The S13 is stored up in Japan right now, I'm going back for Christmas so it makes sense to keep it there, now the GTR is being guarded by Mackay and is being carefully looked at.

So the new quarter begins.

I hope that new "episode" in your life if we can call it that way will be good as hell my man! It was one hell of a month or so spending time and doing things with you, and your cars are definitely in good hands haha! Fingers crossed, I hope everything will be alright with that S15 registering thing, it will be an unicorn in the streets as it is, but knowing you it will be on completely another level that States haven't seen. Maybe I should come for a visit next?

If I'm not to busy why not, lets LS swap something wreck and repeat.

Shit Box

Coming home from work and spotted this little gremlin for sale:

A Mark II Golf, who would have thought I'd find one of these I only see the later models but this is a sight, and to keep seeing it, I impulsively bought it.

Yup I'm back to being a VW owner and I got it for a great deal, V$700, for this Golf, now the previous owner was the second person to own it so that was a good sign it hasn't changed much hands over the years, its mechanically sound at least, the engine is from a G60 Corrado minus the supercharger so I could assume the car makes about a reliable 100hp, and the air conditioning works I could daily this thing if I so please, but I plan on making it faster and a bit better looking,

So I'm extremely looking forward to tear this down and begin months of pain and misery.

On to my next project the mighty Silvia.

Now nothing major has been done to it so far, besides refitting the stock bumpers I ordered, I also got a some new wheels and by new wheels I mean second hand Work VS-XX's that I planned to get painted and since the car came with aftermarket adjustable coilovers I spent hours fiddling with the fitment, so how does it look ?

Something about this angle makes the car just look so fine.

Someone know where I can get a BN Sports kit for this ? :crying: :crying: don't know where I'm going with this, but its gonna be fun.

LIVE HOT DIE BOI

I did gentlemen the S15 is here, she's finally a legit citizen, she's legal boys!!!

(adding this new detail after some major research which I should have known earlier with vanity plates and the prices of letters and numbers on plates)

Now this didn't come cheap minus the registration tax, this plate cost me V$2,500 which is the most expensive thing on this car so far. About V$500 per letter or numeral.

Now I could've had the car registered in another state for less tax but that's way to much hassle, plus a Cali plate looks boss especially this sunset one.

And peep the Plate: L3G4L

The car is registered, insured it has MOT and is fully legal so I would have no problems, given the lengths I went into getting it legal I'm keeping this car for a while.

Now on to the mods.........absolutely nothing, well not nothing, I did get the interior reupholstered in beige synthetic leather:

Other than that the car is as stock as it gets, but that's about to change so "rubs hands like birdman"

Now unto the Golf.

It's resting in pieces, literally I spent days taking it apart and its currently sitting as a shell right now:

The car is in good shape just surface rust the car is structurally sound but I new running gear parts these shits are ancient, everything is out the engine the old suspension the interior, everything older than me was taken out, now I'm in the process of cleaning before doing anything else, this is turning slowly into an episode of the Assembler the length of time I'm taking with this.

But it'll be quite the passion project.

Lets go golfing

The build slowly takes shape on the Golf.

I was able to snag the four light grill and front and rear bumper from the GTI model and some seats from the MK6 Golf R fucking hell I had to get these from a wrecked R these new are V$14,000.00 that's a mint condition 180SX S13, pay no mind to the mesh rims they're just place holders, I'm inbetween getting a 5 lug conversion or sticking to 4 lug, what do you guys think ? the biggest size I think I can fit is 16" to 17"
any rim suggestions ?

I did spend a while cutting and re-adjusting the trim so I can get some extra width and it looks like shit now but it should look better when the car is one whole color:

I'm still looking for a good VR6 to buy since I'm not gonna overdo the power on this, just some minor fixes so I don't get any problems later on, have a long way to go though.

I did have a problem the C63, blew something on the freeway while I was on my way home from work and I'm assuming this is gonna cost me something fierce but I was expecting this, I've yet to get diagnosis on what happened so I hope to god it's nothing serious.

was lazy as fuck with this one

And onto the S15, basically nothing, nah, I just got a replacement Nardi wheel and new led lights to replace those Altezza look a likes.

And I have to say these look wayyyyyyy better.

I don't know if I want to change anything major on the car, it just looks so good stock :crying: Soju help me out here how do you do it ?

I guess the Golf will be one of those real rocket! I've heard the service fees of those Mercs are pain in the ass in the States tho.

About the OEM+ look, small wheels and meaty tires are one thing ;) I just prefer putting Nissan OEM wheels on Nissan cars

Ah, I hope Merc is alright too, even tho I am not experienced with V8's I am sure that Merc guys will diagnose all problems without problems. L3G4L is looks clean too, it came a long way since we put it in a container haha.

So the mk2 is getting a VR6 swap? I was thinking of the same thing for mine too but it ended up with a SR20 haha. You can keep it 4 lug and put some old school wheels on it!

Silvia already looks good even if it's pretty much stock so try to keep it that way! Maybe you could get a Nismo bodykit to keep the OEM+ look but make it a little more aggressive. How the hell did you manage to make it legal though? Especially California, i've heard that the laws are much more strict there compared to other states.

I mean I sat in M4 seats and they're comfortable as shit, I mean they are heavy but if you want to sacrifice some weight for comfort go for it, the Golf is gonna be a cruiser honestly nothing too hardcore this time, the Merc apparently has a completely fucked head gasket, chipped camshafts, not to mention the fluid filled engine mounts have been leaking, so I'm not to happy to see the bill on this, then again I haven't gotten car checked again since I bought it.

Clever ain't it ? L3G4L and I know right ? came an extremely long way, you have great taste my friend.

I have a Nismo kit I got with the car when I bought it with Mackay, I'll put it back on and try the look, in California you can register an Ox cart with an engine as long as it passes regulations and emissions here is one of the Hot Rod capitals man, have you seen the ridiculous whips here ? and getting the car legal was a bit of knowing someone who knows someone and a lot of paper work, the car was shipped through the importers the dealership I work with use they specialize in foreign cars and have done whats necessary to bring cars like this in legally so I didn't have much of a problem, the car passed emissions and passed the tests, the car is certified by the EPA so I would have no problem if cops get suspicious and stop me.

# Nightrunner : Wow VR6 in a MK2 ? God damn , it´s gonna be a fucking beast !

Well I mean the Golf weights nothing so ofc it's gonna go like stink, and I know right ? she looks damn fine.
