We've gone through 10 pages???
Late night hypeLast night i was working on my AE86, when i finished i was pretty happy with the result but also tired so i got some sleep right away. However i somehow woke up at around 2:30 in the morning and just couldn't get back to sleep again! I had a look around the garage to check if anyone broke in, fortunately that was not the case. But then my eyes just got caught on the R32 like almost every day, and i haven't taken it for a drive in a while so i just said to myself "Let's go for a ride!" Before going i changed the wheels to BBS LM's that i got from Japan for a ridiculous price, i didn't want to damage those super expensive Nismo wheels lol. These wheels don't have tires as good as R888's but they were alright anyway. First i was just cruising around but later i made some pulls too. As you know i will visit Japan once again next month for a Skyline meeting with Mackay and Erwin, and those guys are crazy about top speed highway runs, they will probably drag me into that so i considered it as some kind of preparation. There were barely any cars on the road so i hit the gas quite a few times but i didn't want to wear out the engine too much. Those that had seen me probably got a little scared haha. I got scared a few times too, i think i even went past a police car in one moment. Hopefully he had no idea what had gone past him... I couldn't help myself and took some pics in the middle of the road. R32 looked better than i thought with these wheels, it also reminded me of a R32 GTR that i used to have years ago in Gran Turismo 4. It had the exact same color and wheels, and a similar power output. I might even keep them on but they would need a bit more dish so i'll stay with the GT1's for now. I'm just so amazed everytime i see this GTR. Driving it in the middle of the night and speeding with no registration whatsoever was quite an adrenaline rush, it was even harder to sleep then but it was fun. I probably woke up many other people so i guess i deserve it, someone might even have nightmares now lol. And this photo reminded me of my R32 GTS i used to have, it was a really fun car but i've always wanted a GTR. So here we are now - time files, right? This is how it looked, photo was taken in December 2016. Oh, and remember when i said that i was working on the AE86 last night? Well, see for yourself what has changed! Full reveal soon in Ride Of The Month |

Well well well.. And I was already thinking that this R32 is cursed, cursed to be garage queen haha, as I had hard time taking it for a spin, and now same thing happened to you, but I am sure that from now on it will see even more action! Fuck, I miss that thing.. Please, leave it in Japan at my shop when you come back, thanks. ♥

# radcoon :Thanks mate! I went around 200km/h a few times, could've gone way more but i'd have to drive far out of town then. # MACKAY :I almost thought so too but i decided not to let that happen. Also that's why i'm bringing it to Japan, and i'll drop by your garage for a tuneup! So september is getting closer and closer, that means it's time for me to head to Japan for a while to visit Mackay, Erwin and some more friends, as many guys as possible really. I put the R32 on the trailer and drove it all the way to the west coast with the 350Z to ship it. Meanwhile i stopped in LA to check some things out in Art Of Wheel, also made some calls so we may get a few more sets of rims in the shop! See you in a few days! |

Ahh , I've been waiting to see the R32 in the container for so damn long and it's finally happening ! God damn I can't wait to meet you man ! You're gonna have the time of your life here ! And if you're bringing the R32 over to Japan , why not just settle down in Osaka and have some fun with us for a couple of weeks , maybe months ? But either way , it's gonna be absolutely sick and I cannot wait to see you and just have some fun ! The R's meet wouldn't have been complete without you and I'm really glad you're shipping your car to Japan just to take it to the meet , after all , it's a show worthy car ! Ahh I can't wait to hang out with you !

Hello darkness my old friendWell, it's been more than a few days, oops. I landed in Tokyo at the end of august but my R32 wasn't there yet, luckily the S14 was still in our shop so i did some hooning with it haha. Not before i had found Skip though, i was so happy to see him after almost half a year!! I was so amazed by both this fact and his Supra. Some parts of it seemed a bit too aggressive for me but overall it has a really cool style. After going on a cruise around Tokyo we stopped at his place and took a few quick pics of our rides. As you might have seen on his thread, things done changed for him. He's been planning it for a while, just wait until he updates about it. Last weekend was a blast, while i was still in Tokyo i met Radcoon at his sticker shop, he made some special stickers and merchandise for the R's meeting which was on this sunday, we met with Erwin and Mackay at the event on Fuji Speedway. It was stunning, i saw many beautiful Skylines and some famous people! It was a huge event, i'll tell you guys all about it but it won't be very soon. Have a good one! |

The Skyline meet - take 2This is a pretty long story about what happened exactly a month ago. (warning: lots of pics!) Long story short, i went to another Skyline meet after a long time. (check my first one here!) However this one was way bigger, being in the homeland of Skylines this would be quite obvious. Not only that, it's also a really famous event so there were many teams from all over Japan! It was held at Fuji Speedway, Mackay and Erwin were hyped for it for months so they came up with an idea to set up a booth for their R's, then Radcoon gave a hand with some awesome stickers and merchandise. We also brought some parts from both the VStanced performance shop and Opposite Style, a few new sets of Work wheels really got some attention at the booth! Of course our GTRs have caught many people's eyes as well. There were so many booths with beautiful Skylines, most of them also had some parts for sale or on display. If you went to every booth you could pretty much build a whole car there! Even i was still amazed by how clean and nice Mackay's R34 is, even if i'd been looking at it the whole time on the way to the event! Ah, same goes for Erwin's GTS, it looks like a proper beast which it is!!! His GTR next to it, on the other hand, looks so subtle. Radcoon was making one hell of a business with his stickers and merchandise, i'd say that was a job well done! I also got one of his caps, those were selling like hot cakes too! Usually i don't even wear them but it looks really cool, probably it'll stay as an accessory for my R32. After making some deals at the booth we did a few laps on the track with many other Skylines. And of course we went to check out what our fellow Skyline enthusiasts have brought to the meet, and oh boy we were blown away!!! On this side there were mostly some friends of ours, their R's were rocking new Work wheels that had recently arrived in our shop, for a bit of promotion on the event. It was great to meet up with all of them, i can surely say that being a GTR owner gets you to meet some amazing people! Some nearby spots were already taken, for example this one with a pretty interesting R35. The Liberty Walk kit looked surprisingly good on it, maybe because it wasn't stupidly low like most of widebody R35's in America. Next to it was one of Mackay's R34 mates with this incredible M-Spec example. With a beautiful mix of Top Secret and Nismo body parts it looks really aggressive but still OEM-ish. Color choice is on point too, and it looks well modified performance wise judging from that huge intercooler! This was one of the most impressive GTR's at the event and it's pretty much how i'd imagine a R34 build. Another thing that i love about it that it's a little widened, that fits perfectly with the Work wheels that we installed in our shop! I really hope that the owner will decide to buy them and keep them on his GTR, i mean just look at it!! You may have seen this GTT on the forums already, it's owned by Skip's friend Haru. I'm surprised that he manages to keep it so original all this time! Still, a stock GTT can get some attention too, especially with a nice stance and a new set of Works. Another friend of ours showed up in this aggressive R33, and i'm glad that he chose the Emotion CR 3P's! I knew that this R35 was one of Mackay's friends too, Mackay and him visited me the last time i was in Tokyo with Skip. Even if this R32 was probably one of the slower cars it compensated with its looks! I don't know why but there's something special on white cars with gold rims. And VS-XX's are just one of those rims that can look good on anything. And here's Radcoon in this beautiful C10, respect to his friend for letting him bring it here! Looking at how modified it is i'm not sure if it's a real GTR but it was still a rare and amazing sight. I was just stunned by what was next to it though, and you will probably be too! And here it is - the Demon 34. This is the demo car of Tokyo Speed Devils shop, some of you might remember it from a business trip to Japan in March last year. (you can read about it here) The shop owner, Megure Kojima gave each one of us one of their cars for a week, and Phonexius chose this one. He's been Megure's friend for a long time but i still don't know how he convinced to let him try this R34. You may think it's no big deal but this one has 1800HP on the rear wheels!!! It's almost the same as the last time i'd seen it, it just got some more racecar parts for a good reason. I mean, if it has so much power it better have matching aerodynamics and grip too! It's funny to think that it has more than twice as much power as the GTR next to it, which is very performance oriented as well! I really liked the look of this R32, all blacked out with no badges whatsoever. Well i'd at least keep the Nismo stickers on the wheels but it fits with this clean look for sure. It's pretty much a sleeper! I also wondered how it would perform against mine, probably it would be very close! I talked with the owner a bit and found out that it has a huge amount of mods underneath - full racing suspension and around 850hp under the hood! This R33 caught my eye too, even if it's not a GTR like most of the others it looked impressive, it also had a well built and great sounding RB25. The paintjob really made it pop out too, i think it's a rare OEM R33 color! Next up was a quite flashy R34 looking like it came straight from the early 2000's. Really aggressive and cool style with the JUN bodykit and some more tuning parts, a perfect match with the Lightning Yellow paintjob. Now on the opposite side, starting with a R34 racecar! Full rollcage and everything, there were few cars like this, mostly because it's not really convenient to drive a full blown racecar all over Japan haha. Some of the Skylines were not R's but looked just as good! For example this one, with a Top Secret bodykit and gold paintjob it reminded me of Smokey Nagata's V35. Only when taking a photo of its rear have i found out that the R34 race car is actually a R32! One of many R35's at the event but this one was a V Spec and looked a bit more interesting with those wheels, all white and so clean. Next up was a tastefully customized R34 GTR in the famous Bayside blue paintjob. The classic GTR badge was a nice addition too! This Kenmeri was one of the most impressive cars to see at the meeting, you don't see many of these even in Japan! It was also the first time i've ever seen one so i was even more amazed to see it than most of the GTR's, and i've always loved how it looks! This R32 looked very mean with all the aero parts! It was interesting to look at because of the color too, it looked like Silica Breath from the late R34 models. Most of the Skylines were highly modified but there were also some 100% original examples like this super clean R34 V-Spec. And here was another V36, really VIP styled. I don't know how this thing drives though, the wheels look huge! Next to it was one of my favorite cars from the meet, a Super Clear Red R33 with a Bomex bodykit and Nismo GT1 wheels, an amazing looking combo! It also reminded me of a R33 i had seen on the 2016 christmas meet with Harrison, it had the same color. And this was one of many R34's but one of the few that looked so mean! I had to take a closer look at it, and when i did i'd seen that this is a proper race car and that it's driven like it's supposed to! Maybe this beast is constantly terrorizing the wangan, well the fact that it didn't have any plates when parked could have something to do with it. Many Nismo parts on the inside and outside, full rollcage, stripped interior, big wing, many carbon pieces... this GTR surely means business. So there you have it - this was absolutely heaven for the JDM fans, or any car fans really. Even on my previous Skyline meet i was so impressed by what i've seen, but here, things were on a whole new level!! I had one hell of a time with my mates and maybe learned a thing or two about Skylines which might be good to know when working on my R32. And as people say, everything is better with friends, so i'd like to thank: Mackay for even telling me about all this, Erwin for bringing 2 amazing R33s, Radcoon for all the stickers and merchandise, and Skip for bringing another friend with a nice R34 and good company as always! *LINK* Here's also a video so you can really see how the event looked like. Fast forward to today, i'm currently chilling out in Osaka with Erwin and Mackay. We did some work on our GTR's, i'll try to update about that soon. |

Such event was one of a kind experience for sure. Thanks to you all guys for making it reality, good minds think alike and this time we pulled it off perfectly! ♥ A lot of cool people, even cooler cars and builds, and overall very well organized event. Big thank you to you Lagano for making coverage of event, we owe you one!
Oh.. By the way that grey "Nismo" GTR is one of us too, I just didn't had time to introduce him to you guys, that R' had couple of changes since it first appeared in my pictures.. Also what a coincidence that most of the guys already knew us or we knew them one way or another, one big Skyline family haha! |

Familiar facesHey guys! So as i told you in the last update i'm still in Osaka hanging out with Erwin and Mackay. The main reason for this trip was definitely the R's Meeting, and to tune up my R32 at Mackay's garage on the way. However there was one more thing that i came here for... It was this mean looking 300ZX. If it seems familiar to you, you're damn right! Erwin used to have it, well he "sold" it before i even got to Japan but we discussed everything earlier and he put it in storage for me until now. Actually i wanted to buy a Mk4 Supra from him but it turned out too expensive. A few days later he gave me an offer for this Z32 which was a better deal in general. Funny that i wanted to buy a Supra, and i ended up with its rival! Z32s were always a bit forgotten because of the Mk4's fame but it's still just as beautiful! The good side is that you can get them for way cheaper than the Supra, good condition turbo models are getting crazy expensive, especially in the US. I had a thorough look of the 300ZX before going in it. Just beautiful from the outside, from what i've seen in Erwin's updates i wasn't really sure about its style but i'm starting to love it now. It was strange to look at it from the side though, being a 2 seater it's quite short compared to the 2+2 which i've been more used to see. The paintjob was very interesting too, it's supposed to be GTR Midnight Purple but it looks more like blue to me, which looks even better to be honest! Targa top is a nice thing to have too, i wouldn't choose that kind of model for a Wangan racer and i prefer hardtops in general. It's still a nice feature, makes the car look a bit more luxurious. Interior looked mint, pretty much stock apart from the Nardi steering wheel and a few gauges on the dash. The steering wheel also has a genuine Nismo horn button! I don't even know where to find this kind of stuff or how much it's worth but i guess it makes the interior look cool! And knowing Erwin there had to be some Nismo parts on this Z, of course. Erwin was really hyped for me to visit him and try out the 300ZX, as much as i was! So i hopped right in after checking it out. It drives pretty well, apart from the looks Erwin also installed a big brake kit and coilovers so it has great handling. Engine wise it's pretty much stock but there was still enough power for some tire shredding! It's a twin turbo V6 after all. I didn't hoon it too much though as i wanna keep it clean for now. Erwin made it a real beauty, looks like making it a beast will be my part of the project! Well maybe Mackay's too as he knows the stuff around Nissan engines. See you soon! |

Hahaha ! Ahh man... memories... I've stored that thing so long ago ! Finally seeing it be driven and owned by one of my friends is really nice ! Well , I hope you'll enjoy building it even further , it needs some work ! Ahh , I'd love to own another Z32 again , maybe in the future , but for now , we're both gonna have to wait haha ! Anyway man ,if you need any help with it , I'll gladly help you ! Ahh... even though my perspective and taste on tuning has completely changed , I still think that this one looks amazing ! Haha , anyways , peace !

Thanks guys!
Shopping time!I've been quite busy with the 300ZX lately. Like i said, it needed some serious engine mods to do justice to the mean looks. Being in Japan and hanging out with a skilled engine builder (especially when it comes to Nissan) i got right to it, firstly finding the parts i needed. Erwin suggested to upgrade the turbos but i'll hold on with that, for now i just wanted a solid engine with no crazy amounts of power. I got a set of JUN high lift camshafts, they're supposed to be great for turbo builds. The main thing that i focused on is fuel delivery cause you know, high boost equals high amount of fuel and air. I wanted to upgrade the intake too but i didn't find any aftermarket ones for sale. Then Mackay came up with an idea to fit a R35 intake, it needed some adjustments but he made it fit perfectly! It has a different fuel system than the VG30 intake so i had to get new ignition coils and injectors too, i wanted to upgrade them anyway. To be precise i got a set of 860cc HKS injectors, they're good for more than 800 HP! This meant that it needed a better fuel pump, and twin Walbro units will do the trick. Mackay suggested a surge tank as well, it's a must have for high boost engines. Luckily he also knew how to fabricate one! The final touch was a HKS fuel cut defencer, it's an electronic device that makes sure the engine doesn't run out of fuel on high boost levels. I might not need it yet but i will when i turn up the boost! And another electronic thingy, the infamous Bee*R rev limiter! Probably my favorite part of this build, i've watched some videos of Z32's with it, the pops and backfires looked insane so i had to get it lol. At some point i even thought it would be way too loud but it seemed cool nonetheless! All those parts required a hefty amount of work to install and make everything run. Overall the engine was tuned for reliability rather than high power, when i took it for a drive i'd say it has around 500-600 horses on a pretty wide rev range. Definitely an improvement! After the engine work was done the drivetrain got some changes too, a Nismo Super Coppermix twin plate clutch and a Cusco Type MZ LSD. I always knew that it needed one, if you take a look at one of the photos in the previous update you can see only 1 skid mark, so you know what i mean. The Cusco unit i got is a 2-way LSD, more common for drift cars but that's what they had in store for Z32s. As thanks to Mackay for all the help i bought his HRE wheels that he really didn't know what to do with. I mean, they looked gorgeous on his E36 but i guess he's aiming for a different style. They are quite expensive 3-piece wheels so i gave him a hefty V$4000, but that's fine with me cause they will come in handy for an Euro build, and because he helped me build a great engine for my 300ZX! This project was going on for a while cause we had some things to do in between - we met with the Tokyo guys (you can see in Erwin's RP) and last weekend we went to Ebisu for a drift session with 11000rpm and Soju. (check 11000rpm's RP for pics) This trip to Japan has got quite long (again lol) but it was hella fun as always! I'm happy that the 300ZX project turned out great but i have some more of them back in the States so i'll slowly have to get going there! |
