Update on the AE86.
Since this weekend I was out of town with some business, i didn't had time to mount the fenders and the wheels on the car, but i managed to do this yesterday. I like the result. Now i am thinking that i can drop it more, but i like it this way aswell, so i can't decide whether i will do it or not. Now i am on the hunt for some sideskirts, and a new rear bumper, to give it a more agressive look. I won't turn it into a racecar, because it will remain my daily. Later on i will go to Pudsey garage for a oil change. I think that the engine doesn't feel good...dunno why. It has some power spikes sometimes. |

Im going to adjust the alignment because there is way too much camber in the front
I went out for a spin and it has potential, i need a name for this

Eh...i guess being a member of the local AE86 Club has some advantages..
My amigo from the club hooked me up with this beautiful front quarterpanels. I must say, looks excellent on the car, they fit like a glove with the overfenders and the front lip. Still on the hunt for sideskirts and rear bumper though... |

Found this "half"-rolling S15 at a Japanese junkyard for about $2000 USD and had this imported to the United States.
Readying for repainting and found some parts from the same place (during my time there, overseas) and salvaged it off another S15 that had a wreck. Installed them, along with a steelie so it makes a stable platform to work on. We had a LS3 set aside in a barn (not at garage) so we decided to use it, since it was laying around for nothing. Complete engine, including RWD 6-speed tranny and drivetrain. Engine mounts handcrafted (couldn't find any locally, since I wanted to have it installed in a shorter period), and so are the other pieces. We converted the LS3 to a twin-turbo setup, running on a racing methanol. After that, I tried to juice every ounce of power I could get out of this engine. Dyno Results: |

Touge BATTLE!I was out cruisin' in the Chaser when suddenly a red AE86 began flashing the Hi-Beams onto my rear, as far as i know, it was a battle! I was fighting over the first place all over Hiroshima's roads and finally we stoppped at a gas station to have a chat, turns out that the guy was named Rokuro Watanabe,he is middle aged and a really nice guy, He told me that he once were a legend on the Touge. This guy was mysterical, his technique was like nothing ive seen before. Amazing.

So after 3 days of waiting and working for a day, the GT86 is looking good again, I ordered some RocketBunny Flares and a new set of Kranze LXZ's with some new tires from Pudsey shipped to my place, gladly my car was not over lowered otherwise I'd be scraping the lip of the rims on the fenders (Lel). I'm looking forward to repainting the car, I was a bit curious if anyone knew any places that do car painting???

So, I have removed my Navan kit, and have reverted to OEM aero + a lip.
My goal? A sleeper-ish touge car. I still need an engine though... Preferably a working SR... I will keep looking. (Sorry about the ENB overlay... AGAIN. This post was edited by ThatBoostedGuy (2016-02-10 01:42, ago) |

So a few years back a buddy of mine traded me a half put together r32 for some work i did for him on a vehicle of his. Car was missing the front end, wheels and not to mention no engine or trans. Needless to say it sat on blocks in storage for a little while. So a couple months ago i got tired of seeing it go to waste and sitting under an inch of dust lol I decided to pull it out of storage and give her some love. Put on a 240 front clip i had laying around & ordered some 3sdm's.
Now the real question is what I want to power this beauty I've narrowed it down to an rb or ls motor mostly because i have both blocks in shop. What yall think? |

Due to legal reasons, took up an old friend's S13, did a S15 front-end and back to a clean engine bay ^^
The S15, I had it stored in the lot in case we need parts. kyaoru: What you said defeats the purpose of making it "unique" Added 5 minutes later: Today i managed to raise the front and rear suspension two inches for it to be somewhat street able! So i threw on the old z32 wheels on the back and did i little street drifting, not to much though. A good enough amount where to realize what this car needs but in the process i damaged my stock front and rear bumper and rear right taillight but sooner or later it will be fixed Also Marcus im down to meet up and do a run or just do whatever let me know im free tonight This post was edited by JdmSly (2016-02-09 23:15, ago) |

# JdmSly : What you said defeats the purpose of making it "unique"Woops, lol. Forgot LS Swaps were common, hint hint: LS everything, kek. Added 59 minutes later: Completed, with VR38DETT, did the paint myself, had some buddies get the kit from the locals, since we couldn't get an S15 URAS front-end, we had a friend go 3D-print it out for me, and I did the sanding and shaving. After all that was done, we were done with cosmetics. We found a tune setup online and used it for our own, increasing the wastegate pressure, ECU tuning, etc. Results came out with and peaked at 1351 hp @7800 rpm and 748 ft-lbs of torque. $45,000 in total spent on this car. Yeah lets get it, bringing the rotarded S13.
Mentioning that, here's how it sits as of today. Did a quick wrap and also you may notice a few different things. Last aero was all recycled from previous S13, I was actually interested in this Ver.1 Rocket Bunny kit. Also has a custom rear diffuser to make it a little different, along with these custom painted Enkei RPF1s with a colour shift/ pearlescent paint job to make it subtly flashy. Oh and crushed hotwheel stance is gone, I actually wanted to be able to put all 710WHP down. |

Tonight was quite the skid sesh in Pudsey. Before Haku and I met up with JdmSly he helped me fit my 326power Chakuriki GT +S coilovers on the S14 and I fit my 18x9.5 TE37's, left over from my previous S15.
Then we basically shredded the shit out of the lot. more photos to come tomorrow. And I lied about that SR20...its 1JZ powered.. |

((OOC: Hey guys, I am planning on flying the S14 to Nevada once it it complete in the ROC, just a heads up for anybody else who wants to build a car for it.))
I have sourced a motor! It's an RB26DET from an R33. I purchased it from Yahoo Auctions JP! Thank you Marcus, in a way, for directing me too that site. I have never used it before but seeing one of your posts about it, I decided to check it out. I don't know when the motor will be in my posession, but I am going to start collecting all the extras I will need to drop the RB in so I can get it ready for the Race Of Champions!
