So ill be fifteen in august, I'm an extreme car enthusiast, and cant wait to drive, i just dont know what, theres this old 86 Nissan 200sx (S12) that i cant keep my eyes off, should i go for it? if so how much do you think i should pay? its maroon has the vented hood, no rust. looks great just not sure about the internal condition or even the quality of the car itself, looks something like this,
*LINK* its between that and a 90s civic coupe EX and my neighbors 96 f-150 in excellent shape. or my moms beat the fuk up maxima (98) This post was edited by ThrowawayBag131 (2014-02-27 20:53, ago) |

I'd say go for it.
What really matters is reliability and parts availability. I don't know much about these cars so you'd have to research for yourself the average selling price and if parts are readily available in your area. The honda is great if youre on a tight budget, there's literally millions of them on the road. Trucks can be fun too, I would suggest the f-150 but I personally don't like ford. Way more trouble than they're worth. the 200sx is an old car so understand that it has worn suspension, the steering won't be razor sharp, the brakes won't stop on a dime, and it will have rattles/noises. You say it has no rust but knowing nissans, and a car of that age, unless you live out west where it doesn't snow, it's going to have rust. Not necessarily visible rust either. though it is a great platform to build on, and Nissan did make great cars back then. If you do decide to buy it, make sure you get really good tires on the rear. |
