Good to see that you're finally building "that" car, fam! That looks so good, even with a crashed rear bumper...
Cheers from home!

Random Updates

Sold my NARDI wheel for 250 V$, got sick of the color didn't really match up and picked up a KEY!S RACING steering wheel from Garage Nine, total cost of 415 V$

Also my friend JoaoCruzDR dropped by and helped me to paint my rear bumper with some midnight blue color spray can, came out pretty alright actually for the 20 V$ i spent on them

And for last, this is the last photo i'll post with the Hayashi Yayoi wheels, because i sold them to Ward for 2.500 V$, new spicy wheels coming soon! In the meanwhile i'll put my teardrops on again.

Finances: 8080V$ + 250V$ (nardi wheel sold) - 415V$ (KEY!S RACING wheel bought) - 20V$ (spray cans and tape) + 2500V$ (Sold Hoshino Yayoi to Ward) = 10395 V$

I bought another car

So this is my new daily driver, it's a 1993 Toyota Mark II JZX90 Grande G that comes with a auto 2JZ-GE engine stock

Costed me 2.700V$ and used to belong to my boss's friend, it has 257.000 Miles on it. It's in pretty good shape overall, rear bumper has some scratches but my boss said that he wasn't the best driver so yeah. He used to have a set of Work XD9 wheels in it but he refused to sell them so he gave it to me in OEM Nissan R33 wheels, that i quite like not gonna lie. It's a pretty smooth car to drive, although it feels slow as fuck. Doesn't really have anything modified to it, sits on stock suspension and brakes. He did say it has an exhaust leak so i need to take care of that.

It's a pretty and luxurious car and since i have plans of turning my 180sx into a drift car so this one comes in handy. I've found the new wheels for the 180 and waiting for them to be delivered.

Finances: 10395 - 2700 (Mark II) = 7695 V$

I'm gonna try not to modify it :P
I'm debating to go a style based on the old D1GP cars for the 180sx, flashy livery, aero all that stuff so i'll keep this as my lightly modified car

haha that is awesome I had the same idea but decided to just build a super clean Dorisha.

Also I need to hit up our other crew/shop fabricators Ricardo and Tiago. I have some S15 conversion panels blueprints and Magic Aero side skirts to match the magic aero FRP lip.

Picked up my new wheels.

Sold my previous ones (Hoshino Yayoi) for 2.500V$ a few days ago (check previous updates) to Ward from the forum and picked up this mint set of Advan VS6 wheels in 16x10. I love them they match the car style nicely. Also got them wrapped in brand new Yokohama Advan Neova 215/15/R16 tyres with a bit of a stretch.

Total cost of the AVS6 + tyres was 750 V$ (400 V$ on the wheels and 350 V$ on the tyres)

I've also slapped some stickers on my rear windows that a friend gave me and drove into of my favourite spots at night with the film camera to take some photos of the car.
I'm also planning to go to Fukushima to Ebisu minami circuit this weekend to put this bad boy to test, hopefully i'll find someone there to tandem with :))

Finances: 7695 - 750 (AVS6 + tyres) = 6945 V$

EBISU WAS LIT!

So this was a different weekend for me because i drove to Fukushima to go to one of the world's most famous tracks: Ebisu Minami
It was a open day event so anyone was welcome to join, bit of a long drive from Saitama (159 miles/256 km to be exact)

And lots of fun, lots of awesome cars, aero getting shredded and feeling a bit of the early 2000's spirit i'll drop a couple of pics:

The "key" shot, props to the photographer that caught me right after the jump in which i kinda got a bit of air and when i pulled the transition i smacked my rear bumper in the wall and it fell off. Don't really care tbh because the shot is awesome!

And the end result, some of the clips that hold my rear bumper in got broken so i threw it into the trunk, held it with some cables and drove off like that, luckily my bumper didn't get dented, just the paint a bit chipped (funny because i had it freshly painted about 2 weeks ago). Also the tyres in my teardrops are completely done, ran a couple laps with all 4 AVS6 on and the rest with the OEM wheels in the back and pretty much ended them. And i've lost my driver side mirror when i tried to overcorrect a drift and ended up breaking it, i'll have to get a new one of those, but i drove away without it, no fucks given.

But now i've realized that although it was fun, a SR20DE just isn't enough for me and i feel ready to move to bigger things both power and style wise, more details coming soon!

180 makeover

With time looking always at the same car gets boring, and although i love my 180sx i have big plans for it. So it's gonna sit in the garage for a good while now.
After a long search around stores and websites i finally bumped into some of the parts i was looking for (ended up ordering some and others were used parts bought from friends):

I've bought a second hand Do-Luck type-2 low spoiler for roughly 125.0580 JPY (V$ 1200), they can go for a lot more brand new.

Bought a Origin Stream Line rear bumper for 32.441 JPY (310 V$) and origin aggresive line sideskirts for 29.000 yen (277 V$).

A friend sold me his OEM Nissan 180sx type-x front bumper (to which i cut the part where the plate goes because i like the way it resembles the koguchi power bumper but i'm too broke for one, also he sold me his lip with canards and splitter for 45.000 JPY (430 V$). Bought a driver side mirror as well since i lost mine when i went to ebisu and painted it with a spray can (total cost was around 60 V$)

I'm now waiting on the origin lab tatakidashi that i ordered from Origin Lab that will cost me V$ 340 (not here yet).
I removed the side stickers because i'm gonna put the overfenders and i have new ideas for a better livery since i'm turning this 180sx into street/drift car, more coming soon! Oh and also i got my paycheck yesterday! (V$ 565)

Finances: 6945 - 1100 (do-luck spoiler) - 310 (rear bumper origin) - 277 (side skirts) - bumper w/ lip (430 V$) - 60 (mirror bought and sprayed) + 565 (paycheck) = 5333 V$

Cuttin' fenders

So...
My Origin Lab Tatakidashi overfenders (30 mm) arrived!
They costed 340 V$ with shipping included, from Origin Lab website

I'm going for bigger wheels in the future, just don't know what wheels right now, so in order to fit a bigger wheel and go lower i needed to cut my fenders since the origin overfenders offer more clearance than the OEM fenders do. And so i did. Kinda. I mean it doesn't look half good tbh.

Whoops, i guess i'm not the best with the grinder and i abused it :(

But hey, overfenders do look good on it, and i won't have wheel clearance problems no more hahaha

Then i've put the body kit and the VS6's on and took it for a spin. And then i realized i forgot to bolt in my rear plate, lucky me cops weren't around and drove it at night otherwise this could have not ended well. Gotta say i'm hyped with this new phase of my 180sx and can't wait to see it finished

Finances: 5333 - 340 (overfenders) = 4993 V$

Thanks! I'm a bit busy but i'll try and see if you can

Weight Reduction + New hood

I'm gonna buy new seats soon, so now's the time to start stripping the interior. Nothing too radical though, i'm keeping the floor mat and some of the panels.
Also installed a hydro e-brake that i bought for 95 V$

Bought this original D-Max hood from a guy who lives in Tokyo, 250 V$. It's painted grey and makes my car look like a rainbow, full of colors.

Finances: 4993V$ - 95 (hydro e-brake) - 250 (used d-max hood) = 4648 V$
