Joining the Gang...

So afhter the last post i went to visit my GF and her parents. In the middle of the coversation i said i wanted to get a hachiroku, hwe mother asked what it was and i showed a pic and then she said that her friend huband had one but since he died 20 years ago the car was not much used and her friend decided to sell the car finnaly, So i asked if i could check the car afther some texts she confirmed for the other morning.

To be honest i almost didnt slept that night of excitment it was too good to be true but i had to chck it either way. When we arrived it was parked at the old lady garage with a considerable ammount of dust on top of it but it was there.

The lady knew very little about the car so i asked the price she said 4500 dolars wich was pretty fair considering the state of exterior/interior of the car. But when she said the car hadn't beeing started sice her son left wich was 15 years ago i asked if i could do a complete inspection of the car. so the problems were:

-Dead battery
-Old Gas
-Oxidezed spark plugs
-Light Oxidation at the cylinders
-Old fluids
-Rusted coolant
-Blown bushings
-Bad tyres
-Rusted exhaust
-Stuck clutch
+all the things that a car wich was parked for more than years will have

So afther the list she said. Since she knew i would take care of the car and i would had to fix the all the list 3000 would be fair but at least the car registration was updated i could run the shop temporary plates.
But to move it i had to take care of the clutch so i had a little idea topped off clutch and brake fluid on the AE i strapped it into the chaser asked my mom to press hard at the clutch pedal and just let the chaser slowly push it wich was like i strapped my car to the ground so i decided to give it a little boost and instead of moving the ae it started shaking wich meant that it was starting to let go bu the chaser rear tyres lost grip so i pressed the F button and let my JZ do the job... When the chaser almost hit the redline it jumped to the front and i slammed the brake so my mom did and boom the 86 was free so i strapped it onto the tow truck wich my co-worker was driving and started heading to my house.

When we got home the first step was the engine where i cleaned the air filter,re-grounded everthing, checked the ecu, replaced timing and accesories belt, spark plugs but let them off, removed thermotast flushed the cooling and heater, re-filled the AC, changed the Oil and filter ,Changed Brake and clutch fluid, Diff and Tranny Oils, Installed a new battery, Put a little atf at the cilynders and cranked it for a minute aspirated the oil, Flushed the Fuel System Threw new fuel re-installed the plugs and cranked and boom the 86 was back to life.

Drove it easy and hard for about an hour to get it into shape and boom it was 100% back to life so i got back almost stripped the car for a proper interior and exterior wash and behind all that dust a beautiful levin coupe 1987 AND IT WAS MINE I WAS IN LOVE

Oh and the only mods it had were some enkei dish wheels a zenki grill and trueno taillights
