Hi.

Let's start with the basics:
My name is Mark and I am from Birmingham, UK. I own a magazine called 'Royal Stance' (http://vstanced.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=3050)

I recently lost my job as a sheet metal worker, and have been left with a steady £50-a-week pay from magazine profits (Stickers and other attire also give me money)

Over the last few weeks I was looking for a cheap car for the £440 I raised up. In the end the car I got was a Skoda 100. It was full of rust and inside I saw a few things I'd rather unsee.

Here it is the day I bought it. It has some 16" rims the previous owner threw in, as the car was on jack stands.:

The car was on sale for 400v£, but as I had to pay for the tow, he gave it to me for 350v£

Finance:
440
car: -350
tow: -30
food: -10
pay cheque: +50
New Magazine issue out: +5

Overall: 105v£

I've also ordered some new stuff, so stay tuned!

I still can't see the pictures, but, are you facing off the lowest budget ever set. By me?

Though I can't wait to see what happens, as we are within the same country (in RP), meaning we could collaborate.

Just noticed my image thing's been removed. Thanks whoever did that (actually thanks, I was waiting for a reason to get rid of it). To replace it with this;

Yup, that's the plan :D

Yeah. Collab could be cool. I may do a RS issue on them both, showing that you don't need to be rich to have fun.

# casino : I love the magazine, can't wait to see what you'll do with it.
Thanks mate.

# MrTomush : Hey you selling Royal Stance magazine sticker?

Yup! 2.00v£ for this one:

So, those parts arrived today, as well as something I wasn't expecting...

First of all, I bought a new bonnet, lights and foglights. The bonnet is a replica one made from fibreglass, so it's cheap AND light! Amazing.

^Just fitted all the new stuff^^

And secondly, I cut my springs! Yes, I know it's literally the WORST thing to do, but I can't afford coilovers. So an hour of work later, I got it down from 7" to 5". Noice.

^^Old suspension off!^^

^New one on!^^

I have to admit, rather sadly, that it scrapes a little bit. Also I may need to get a better house as I live right next to a pair of speedbumps :(

That's all for today!

That's good, though maybe coil-overs or air may be the solution to the speed bump, as UK housing (IRL) is expensive.

I might keep some of the rust on the panels, but the under-chassis rust has to be sorted. I really want to paint it, but I can't afford the local bodyshop's 1500v£ pricetag. I may have to do some myself

How about leaving the paint as is, but the interior panel paint and rust gets changed. It saves on money and looks good.

The 'low life' may apply to some of the cars I have. Though, that's more because the suspensions' broken.

Yeah. I kinda wanna keep the rustic style, but the bonnet is fiberglass, so it can't rust... What to do?
