Hello, my name is Ole, i'm 20 years old and i live in a small town in Norway called Verdal.

I am one of those who never manage to keep their car stock or settle with a car.. :lolhitting: I have had my drivers license for two years now, and i have already had 8 cars... All Volvo's, or as some call them.. bricks :P

Currently owning an 1997 Volvo 850 GLT, that i bought a couple of days ago for V$1000.

Its all stock (For now).. But i do got some small plans for it.

Finances: V$20000 - V$1000 = V$19000

done some small changes on the 850 so far.. Came across a guy near me who were parting out an 850R, so i bought the front bumper, rear wing and US turn signals.
Got everything for V$250..

JOM.de is having -15% discount on coilovers atm.. so i ordered a set for V$350 incl. shipping.. Estimated to arrive next week :)

The car i got the front bumper and wing from were black, so i'll need to get some paint.

Finances: V$250 + V$350 = V$600 | V$19000 - V$600 = V$18400

Thanks doge :D

Really exited about getting the coilovers! And of-course getting everything painted the same color :)

Also got in contact with a guy who is interested in trading a set of 18" Pegasus rims w/o tires, in my 16" T5 Rims. So i think i'll accept he's offer!

Met up with the guy who wanted to trade his Peg's for my Columbia's today.. turned out the peg's were 17". But on the bright side, they were original Volvo rims! So we did the trade, and i'm gonna deliver the rims to the tire shop when i'll go to work.

So this is how my 850 is looking atm. :))

Sittin on some steelies from an Volvo 740, with mush lower offset.. That fitment tho :awesome:

And my coil's should arrive tomorrow, according to the tracking ! :)

Finances : Paycheck V$375 | V$18400 + V$375 = V$18775

The coilover's arrived on wednesday, and i got them mounted yesterday! with a little help from a friend of mine who got a car-lift :) And i picked up my Peg's with new tires.

Because the company i work for uses A LOT (!!) of tires and all employees get -40% discount on tires (True irl story), The tires only cost me V$350.

And the new front bumper and wing is at the paintshop, getting some nice and purple paint :P

So in the meantime, i'm using the the stock bumper :)

Pic's ! :awesome:

Will do a proper shoot, when i get the other bumper and the wing ! :)

Finances: V$18775 - V$350 = V$18425

# ShadowTuner : looks great dude! although i would go for some wider fenders front and back if you want to rock the steelies :drool2:
Thanks! Would be fun running those steelies, but it wouldn't be road legal anymore. Because the police and the NPRA (The Norwegian Public Roads Administration) are complete Nazis about cars and mods! Its not allowed to change the offset more than +/- 7 from the original offset.. For the 850, the offset is at ET43, So i'm not allowed to go lower than ET36. And since this is my daily, i kinda need it to be road legal :P

Picked up the R-Bumper and the wing at the paint-shop today and got it mounted, and it looks perfect! :D

And a friend of mine had a pair of Volvo-badges to replace the lights on the fenders. Got them for V$20.

With the fender-light vs with the badge

looks pretty damn nice. i'm usually not into volvos but i think this might be an exception. you should get a 122/amazon for a project car (maybe drag, or drift).

Sooo.. The last week i have done a lot of thinking, and searching the internet. And i have decided to get myself a project.

It will be some sort of Time-Attack/race car. I don't want to build a drift car because everyone is doing that, so i want something different! :)

Finances: Paycheck V$415 | V$18415 + V$415 = V$18830

Did some Super Ninja Internet searching while at work today, and found something that might could be a project car... :lolhitting:

Its another 850.. Without an engine, and tired suspension! The guy who is selling it lives about 25km north of me, so tomorrow i will take a look at it. He is asking V$550 for it, not to bad as long as the body is in good shape.

Pic's from the AD.

Will do a new update tomorrow or wednesday :)

So i ended up buying the black 850.. Got the price down to V$500 :)

Here it is outside of the garage!

Now its in the garage getting ready for new suspension. Bought complete suspension second-hand from a guy who started a project but lost his interest and is now selling it in parts. F/R shocks, F/R springs and Brake disks and calipers.

In the front:
-Tein Circuit Racing shocks and springs
-Brembo 380mm Carbon disks with 6-piston calipers

In the rear:
-Koni fully adjustable shocks and springs
-Brembo 350mm Carbon disks with 6-piston calipers

When the suspension is mounted, I'll start getting it ready for some new paint :D

Finances:
Project car V$500 + Complete suspenison V$1000 = V$1500 | V$18830 - V$1500 = V$17330

And some other parts is mounted.

Wheels and tires is ordered. Got to adjust the suspension when i get the new wheels on. Aaaand i need to figure out what engine i'll use..

Just a little update on the 850..

Rims and tires arrived on wednesday. Got them on the car straight away so i could start adjusting the suspension. Lucky for me it have been very warm weather the last weeks, so i even got the opportunity the test it on our local track. Did just mount an standard 2,5L 20V engine that i'we had standing collecting dust in the garage.

The suspenion etc.. worked perfectly, handles really well! :)

Some pics.

At the track

Outside the garage, starting to get a little dark.. but i think the pic's were a little cool :p

And now is YOUR chance to influence this build! I have to decide for an engine to run.. It will be a RWD or AWD conversion and i got a few engines to choose between...
1: LS1-LS3 RWD
2: RB26DET/DETT AWD or RWD
3: 1JZ RWD
4: 2JZ RWD

Feel free to comment what you think about my work! :)

You won't have problems fitting an LS in there. You could make it AWD too! (actually i would suggest a T5 but there's no mod for it) :P

2jz is high on my list, but i want to hear what you guys says about it to :)

I think i will go for a 2JZ or LS, but i'll wait and see what you guys says first :) so far its the 2JZ and LS that have been mentioned :)

And if there was a T5 Eninge mod, it would be my one and only option.. But since there is no suck mod, i have to use something else :p
