Hi there!
I'm Giacomo, I live in Tokai, in the Aichi Prefecture, JP. My girlfriend and I got in a car accident like 2 months ago, completely writing off our old civic for good. I have been using public transport to get to work, and I've been saving up a bit of cash in order to get some dank imported car. Well, I was looking through the web a few days ago during work (I develop websites for various companies around the world), and I found an interesting offer. There was a '13 Ford Mustang v6 (which was marked as totaled and with a seized engine) on auction, and it was quite cheap too. Around v$6k for it, in fact.. So I decided to buy it! Picked it up this morning, and I must say.. She's looking a bit rough, but my plans for this are quite good indeed. It might not look like much, but I love this body style, and owning one is a very special thing to me! I'll keep you guys updated on it! |

Okay, so last night I decided to make a bit of clean up. I removed both the rear and the front bumpers, and then with the help of a mate and my girlfriend, we managed to pull out the old motor.
It's looking much more tidy, and I feel like it's time to relive this pony, but this time with a Japanese heart. I'm looking to buy either a 1JZ or a 2JZ, but I'm open to just about anything. My mate owns a machine shop, and would help me build any mounts for the motor, so in theory, I should be able to fit a variety of motors into this. If anyone has a motor they will no longer need, pleeeaaase let me know, I'll shoot an offer! Also thinking about getting it painted, but I'm not sure yet.. Might plastidip it, we'll see. As far as costs go, I started out with v$20,000. Car itself was 6grand (That's the best part of buying a "totaled" car that is actually fixable LOL). That means I got v$14k left over, so my budget is acceptable at best. Aside from an engine, I'm also looking into buying a daily. Doesn't have to be ultra dank or anything, literally anything to get me to work will do! If any of you have a car for sale, please do let me know! |

Wow that is a good deal on that mustang even in the condition that it is in! Are you going with the stock v6 or ford v8?

Really was a bargain!
If I stay ford, I am gonna go v8. But quite honestly, I'm tempted to do something a bit out the ordinary and am currently looking on the interballs for a 1j or something! # Driftphantom : Wow that is a good deal on that mustang even in the condition that it is in! So I was browsing around on tokyo(dot)craigslist(dot)jp and I found a gen 1 miata with a CA18DET for sale. It's offered at V$4,000.
I feel like this is quite a good deal, considering I also NEED a daily to go to work with. It's got a CA18DET with 48k miles on the motor, and the shell has something like 150k miles on it. It's been lowered on some sort of cheap coils, has a couple rust spots here and there, but aside from that, it's practically in perfect conditions! Might go pick it up either today or tomorrow! |

Hell yeah dude! Sounds good!
# marcus915 : looks miint. I'll come out to Tokai sometime and let's do some mad skids So I decided to go ahead and buy the miata, and it should be delivered tomorrow! (paid v$5k, with wheels and tyres as well. Dude's delivering it too, so it's all worth the extra money). I'll likely get it registered at the DMV tomorrow if they're open, or on Monday. In regards to the Mustang, I'm still looking for a motor. Looking to make an oddball build, so looking for a 1J, 2J, or SR. If anyone has one for sale, PLEASE let me know! |

You got a good deal, the Miata looks like in very good condition. I think the rims are not really for this car, but other than that it looks good.

I know right! I am loving it so much! The rims are a bit eh to me, looking to sell them or trade them eventually
# Lagano : You got a good deal, the Miata looks like in very good condition. I think the rims are not really for this car, but other than that it looks good. Added 1 hour 17 minutes later: Browsed around at the wreckers, and picked up a 2jz-ge off of a wrecked aristo for V$750, needs a bit of work to get it working and firing again, but it's promising! Gonna throw this bad boy straight into the mustang.. this is gonna be interesting! I'll keep you guys updated :^) Added 31 minutes later: Got home and found my girlfriend looking at parts for the mustang (She really wants it), and we ended up picking up a few ebay parts.. Got a replica roush front bumper and grille (V$773) and bilstein coilovers (V$700). Getting the 2JZ mounts fabricated tonight with my buddy, and tomorrow we'll start putting it together! Can't wait!!! This post was edited by giacomo1215 (2016-03-27 21:32, ago) |

Sold the Miata's Ronal Turbos, car is currently on jackstands and am desperately looking around the junkyard for cheap steelies or something, but if I find a dank set of wheels, imma get them.
Mustang wise, the mounts have been fabricated last night at my mate's place and we got them onto the car. As soon as I come back, I'm gonna try to get that bitchin motor in, hopefully it all works out fine. |

If you want an oddball build, why not not go for K-series with a turbo?

GUYS. 2JZ IS OFFICIALLY IN THE STANG.
Not throwing any codes at me either! Went for a small drive around the parking lot, and oh HECK does it sound good! I am deffo loving this! As far as all other things go, I picked up some hella scratched watanabes for V$200 for the little miata, and the coilovers for the stang have arrived! Far too tired to install them tonight though. Bumper should come here tomorrow, can't wait to chuck that on and prime it! |

Awww yeah! 2JZ power! Well, not much power for now, because it's stock and NA. It would be good if the wheels would also be Japanese, you will have a JDM Mustang then.

So the Roush replica front bumper has arrived! However, my girlfriends mum invited us out for the day, so I can't do any work on it.. Tomorrow shall be the day!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hahah hell yeah dude! As for wheels, that is DEFINITELY my plan! Still looking around, 19x10 is hard to come by in the junkyards around here, might have to pay full price online, which is rip. LOL # Lagano : Awww yeah! 2JZ power! Well, not much power for now, because it's stock and NA. It would be good if the wheels would also be Japanese, you will have a JDM Mustang then. FnF Tokyo Drift 2.0, m80! lol About the motor, I am planning to go turbo eventually, probably a single one, but for now I'm focused on making the car drivable first, lol! Coilovers came # MatheusSideways : FnF Tokyo Drift, new gen. Toyota this time HAHAHAHAHAHA |

Went around to look for wheels, and I came across a sick set of 19x11 SSR Professor MS1's and picked them up for V$800. However, browsing on the internet, I found some better looking ones. So for now, I'll be rolling on these, but if I find something better, I'll either trade them or simply switch between them often :^)
She's taking shape finally, and it makes me VERY happy. |

Thank you!
Looking for used stuff is beautiful sometimes A set of these new goes for around V$900 or something, without tyres. Got really lucky! They have a few scratches here and there, but it's so minor that it's barely noticeable at all # Lagano : Looking good! You got 19 inch rims with tires for just 800V$? Damn, that was a steal. |
