For a while now I've been wanting to connect a controller to SLR:R because the keyboard is too sensitive and sometimes not precise. I have a black wireless Xbox 360 controller and a blue PS4 Dualshock 4 controller. I don't have a dongle but I found a really cheap one for $8. Can I connect it by just using the Plug n Play charger for the Xbox controller? If anything can I use the dongle for my Dualshock? What about a wheel? (I don't have a wheel)

You can't use the Plug and play, has to be an actual wired controller. Went through the same struggle haha.
PS4 controller might work, I know I've used PS3 controllers with the usb cord plugged right into them and into the computer so I don't see why PS4 wouldn't work. The only thing you might have problems with is getting the joy sticks to work, sometimes they work, sometimes they're a pain and you have to do some stuff to get them to work.
DS3 tool or Motionjoy is what you want to use. Just pull up some youtube videos on how to use it.

I've only had to use that tool when using PS3 controllers for some reason. 360 controllers you can just plug right in and start up the game. You might have to install a driver but that takes a few seconds. Just make sure you plug your controller in before you start up your game, otherwise you'll have to restart it.

I bought an app called xpadder. It can just about do everything. Assign multiple keys to one button, turbo feature, toggle switch. Example I dont like holding the N2o key in the game so i toggled it to come on at 100% throttle. I love it
