Hi there. :)

I think some of you might know me from the CAR/PART Search thread, but basically I don't write much in the forums. That is mainly because I'm not a modder. At least not for SLRR. I used to build mods and addons for the Synetic game series (Cobra 11-/Crash Time-Series, World Racing 2).

I don't know if this is the right sevtion for this topic, but I would like to offer help with some basic situations in the progress of modding. Not only to help you guys, but also to use the opportuity to learn a bit more about SLRR modding.

I would like to assist by doing:

-Nearly any kind of texture work
-Some basic 3D model works (no modeling itself, just editing of models)
-Really basic scripting

I appreciate any kind of request or however you might want to call it and I would love any offer to teach me anything about modding.

I dont even know if this is a good idea, I just thought about a way to learn while not only using other people's time ^^

Greets, Hinata

Well the main thing about slrr modding is learning its basics(all things explained in JC's rimpack tutorial), then you should start working on your stuff and open a wip topic so that everytime you have a problem you write it there and get an answer from whoever knows the answer, it would also work as a huge tutorial for everyone. :)

So, tried the tutorial, really hyped about it, but then suddenly: BAM! 3D Max won't work.. I downloaded it from here, Jaziba's single link archive. But I couldn't find serials or anything, so I let it install without license etc. but now it won't start because of copyright issues (which is probably not a surprise) and I wonder how I have to do it properly

you need to install it in network mode and set the licpath.lic as license file

check the main installation folder(c:\3dsmax5), there should be some other exes other than the program one, if i remember well one of them is meant to select license type, then drop the licpath.lic in your max folder and select it from that program

And this is where I realize that the thread title wasn't the best decision...
