Meanwhile, my turbo kit and the new wheels arrived this morning! I then got a bodykit for it, and stripped interior from useless stuff to make room for a bucket seat and a rollcage.
Vroom vroom! The crapbox is on the way! I'll paint it a nice black with white stripes. |

So, I got the windows installed, but because their from a URQuattro, had to use clips to hold em in xD The driver and passenger side windows winders were removed, so I cut a sliding door into them. I also got the suspension, brakes, and wheels in, and hopefully, Tom sees this and helps with the rollcage. I taped up the headlight, just in case. Also, still haven't heard anything about exhaust... I chose amateur class tires mounted on some HRE wheels, that, personally, I think look awesome. The tires are nearly slicks, but not quite lol

Cool, I'll retrofit something xD
Added 30 minutes later: [half an hour later] Had some extra sheet metal and tubing laying around, so I fabbed up a shortpipe, with the muffler built into the tip xD I really should make it shiny, but it was a quick job. Its amazing how much heat that LS9 kicks out. I'm glad the hood has vents in it. I had the car idling with the new pipe on there, and the temp was normal, but then I stomped on it, and one of the interns comes into the shop and says I'm rattling the windows on the main shop This post was edited by dxg1997 (2015-03-25 22:32, ago) |

Can you guys start up a group conversation somewhere so we don't have pages of just back and forth conversation? A few back and forth's is alright, we all do it, but this is getting a bit too much guys.
(Referring to all your race talk and prep, not the replies with build additions or talking about builds.) |

Where will we do that group convo?
Meanwhile, I've got bad and good news. Good news is I painted the car, gave it a single stripe and lowered the suspension. Bad news is headlights got busted, and I had to fabricate a front bar and put two lights on it. They work like new. Anyway, tomorrow begins the true Engine building. Currently, it's almost rice. |

how did you manage to turn a very nice classic corolla into what appears to be the bastard child of a reliant robin? glad you made safely though, cars can be replaced.
on a build related note, i've been tweaking the suspension setup on the G-machine...(g37) and the transitions are very snappy. it transitions from one drift to another like it was a much shorter wheelbase. any advice on how to get the car to be more...well-mannered and smooth during transitions. and not snappy and aggressive, it's not my style. i prefer a nice fluid switch from side to side. |

Now, my SO and I have been working in secret for these past weeks, and now we've decided to unveil the car we'll be using in these races.
Started off with a cheap '91 we got off of Craig's. Strip the parts. All of them. And yes, all of them. Got the front lip refitted and some fixed headlights. When I took them out of the box, she complained and pointed to her own Miata. "It can't have that goofy smile!" Fine. Got some used overfenders and such from a old SCCA buddy of mine for 1k. Put on the suspension bits we paid too much for, and tossed some steelies we had laying around to roll it into the garage for it's engine work. While it was on steelies, I also noticed: This thing is more monster truck than miata right now. Our 13B runs great, didn't even have to tune it to get it under regulations. (Forgot to take pics of the engine D:) By sunrise, we had gotten our windows, mirrows, and side exhaust fitted. It already looked great at this point. Later that day I had picked up some wheels I had bought earlier, and the gf picked up the GT wing she had bought earlier. Had to give her to the paint shop for a few days to paint it. After I picked it up, I maxed out the suspension and added some camber dialups the gf researched earlier. That fitment though. Took it out to town to get some photos. And yes, that side exhaust does shoot fire. In this shot you can see a bit of the rear diffuser and you also get an idea of how big this car really is. Had to save most of the interior to pass the weight specs, but I still got myself a MOMO wheel and twin bucketseats. (That have to poke through the rollcage a bit.) All in all, I wouldn't have it come out any other way. There's nothing I don't like about this car. |

@GoverningNick
That MX5 is looking damn hot, colour reminds me of a certain truck though, maybe just me Update on myself, I made a very difficult trade today. Okay not really. I traded my most recent hard work for a new project. It will be hard work, but I've been given a lot more to start with. I was on my way in the AW10 to do a shoot this morning and some guy flagged me down and asked me to pull over to talk to me for a minute. We talked about the car for a little bit, told him about all the work I put into it and specs. I told him about my Skyline and then let him know I had to go do a shoot, but that he could give me a call in an hour or two. He called and asked if I had thought about parting with it. I said I hadn't thought about it, that I only had it for a small amount of time, but then he told me that he'd trade me for an R33 GT-R. Well that I had to see, so I drove over to his place and saw this thing. (Pics are at the shop) So it is far from done, but the engine is built. Only problem is that it's not running. Everything I needed to assemble the car was in his garage, he had just taken it apart for engine removing purposes. This was a sacrifice I was willing to make. He says it should make 600 AWD HP with the engine running low boost, no problem. He also said if it didn't that he would give me $1000 just for my trouble. What more was there to say? We shook on it and we exchanged cars and titles. So I got it back and pushed it inside after towing it to the shop. Cleaned up the exhaust manifold and turbos, just to throw them on for now. Wanted to fit the front end (minus the hood, which I have) and rear bumper So this is the newest project. The R32 doesn't have big plans. This will have bigger plans. R32 will see streetable mods, nice look, more friendly approach. (400-450HP maybe?) Plans for this are 700HP, no BS. This will take the place of the MR2 and be a step higher. Much more rare and much more to my liking. |

Hey guys! I'm back with some more of the Supra Racing build! And I got the 2JZ delivered by me brother Brad who was kind enough to get all of the parts for me while I took it apart and built it. And a special thanks to #Tom Diablo for helping me with the engine. So on the other hand heres the process I went through to build this beauty.
First I stripped it to the core. After a grueling process of installing parts I finished it off with the stickers and sponsors! And heres the engine and specs! I also took the time to install a 3-Point roll cage. which added some weight but hey, safety is #1 priority, and I believe it is required in the race. |
