	Classic Car Rescue is a British/Canadian reality television series produced by Blink Films and aired on Channel 5 for six weeks in 2012, as well as on Discovery Networks affiliates in international markets. Each one-hour episode documents the work of Cockney mechanic Bernie Fineman and his Italian Canadian business partner Mario Pacione, as they purchase "shameful rust bucket" classic cars from scrapheaps, wastelands and backyards and restore them to their former, or to new, glories. Having bought the "bargain wrecks," the pair must then source the parts needed to return the cars to the shiny, desirable motors they once were. At the end of each episode, the cars are appraised by an automotive valuer before being given away in a viewer competition. The programme returned with a second series in 2014, running for eight weeks. Now it's the time to bring this SLRR, I started this topic to post my "car rescue" but if you want you can post your own rescue after I finished mine, I don't know how many cars I will restore and if i restore the original car from the TV series but let's start with these 2 models. Classic Cars Rescue is just started, let's see what Mario and Bernie can do with these 2 old cars. They bought the 1966 Beetle for 850£ and the 1973 Porsche Carrera for a bit more, 2300£. Is it worth it?

	DAY 1 and 2: Beetle The team disassembled the whole car and didnt found out a lot of problems on it. Most of the parts were useless and ruined , now Mario will write a list of the parts and the work need for complete the car. Meanwhile Mario and the guys took the car to the paint shop, fixed some stuff on the chassis and now the parts are ready to painted with the original Volkswagen color, the Ruby Red.

	Those cars had kinda odd owner. Beetle left in grass and that rusty Carrera have pretty new tires. He used them in wreck races?

	should have made some rust, dirt & dust with spraycans before lol. I love these kind of projects

	It would look more believable if the clear coat was faded. Rust on a car with a mirror polish isn't very persuasive lol

	DAY 3: Beetle Car has been painted in Ruby Red and the job is very well done, now the Beetle will be delivered back to Bernie's Garage. Bernie already bought new interiors for the VW and a custom steering wheel. This post was edited by Robustock (2014-09-06 10:44, ago)
