Man, that light bar on the front of that SX is FUGLY. I would recommend replacing the model for it with the one in the Nissan/Datsun I'm building with the RB26DETT.

Sure, I'll get em out and take a pic of em
Added 13 minutes later: My leg is feeling WAYYY better, but the Giken Clutch on the engine still hurts to press down. I got the bodykit installed without too much pain... I may have splurged on a set of bolted fenders, but they were worth it. Anyways, heres the end result. I also picked up the SRT-10. (Anyone have a working version of Mihon's V10?) The engine fits almost perfectly under the bulging hood. Now, I'm on the prowl for some new suspension. Particularly a set of 18" HRE P95L's, in dark blue maybe... Who knows how that would look like with the green paint I also towed it out to Bonneville Salt Flats (only 50 miles, so that's good). No exhaust, so I had to tow it. The exhaust pretty much ends after the manifold xD and its REALLLLY loud. And on a side note, the Ram did much better then I though it would. The fact its an auto helps, but the fact its a V10 helps more. I would love to get an ITB kit or a supercharger for that engine... Here I go! I got the car up to about 170 before I backed off... I've never been that fast, and it was terrifying in such a weak feeling car.... I was suddenly glad I elected to reinforce the entire chassis, because the 1132 hp and 779 ft-lb of torque threatened to rip the car in half. The AWD helped. I actually got the diff from a Nissan GTR (30% front, 70% rear) and it performed realllly well. I got the Ram to about 130 before it topped out. Here's the lights @facepalm Added 5 minutes later: Just realized in my exitement, didn't get any pics of the Ram This post was edited by dxg1997 (2014-12-20 00:54, ago) |

I went to a shop which deals with car windows and got all the windows for the S13! The Recaros came back and they are like new again. Took me a few days to put them (seats and windows) in. The turbo kit arrived, too. Now for the tricky part: wiring. That'll be a royal pain in the neck. The car has no wires in the engine bay. I have a wiring harness for the RB26 which needs to be fitted.
@dxg: yow hve been to the Bonneville Salt flats? I've seen them in roadkill! My charger tops out at 157.5 mph |

# dxg1997 : (Anyone have a working version of Mihon's V10?)(I may have something) Great! I'll buy them, if you're selling them. Added 1 hour 40 minutes later: Picked up new wheels for the 240SX, a spoiler for the roof and removed the front extra lights, since I'll get new ones Then I took it out for a spin. It was SLOW AS SHIT! It couldn't go any higher than 139 ΚM/H. On the way home, I picked up a turbo system for it. And an exhaust. Of course I will always look for better engines! On the dyno. There is a huge difference from before... This post was edited by Facepalm (2014-12-21 12:04, ago) |

Hello I'm new to this
Please be nice haha So I've just finished my studying to be a mechanic and I'm all qualified. I sold everything I had in New Zealand (including my old daily Corolla and Skid Pig 1JZ ute) to finance the move over here and I've also taken out a loan to kickstart my workshop I'm opening up in Valocity. I have a daily/work horse (8.8 Litre V8 Lifted GMC) but I'm currently looking for a rolling body in any condition. Has to be RWD. Thanks for your time. Hope I can find something soon (I'm going to try and keep this as real as possible) Pics of 1JZ ute Pics of my old daily Pics of my new daily |

Bad news. The Ghibli Cup annoyed me so much, that I sold it to a guy who likes restoring cars. Good luck restoring that pal! And the Chrysler engine from the Ford Genuine PoS had to go. A kid gave me a good amount of money to buy it from me for his restoration project.
On other news, I primered the 240SX, and painted it a nice black colour. And I bought a nice big spoiler for the Carlton. I also have some updates on the Integra. Apart from the fact that it's my new daily, I might drop an upgrade or two. Added 5 hours 48 minutes later: Took the SX to Salt Flats At some point, the car overheated. It took a little while for it to cool down. But when it did, I took it for one last run. Needless to say, when the photographer showed me the pictures, I paid him double. So when I got home, I found some flaws: 1) The transmission is too wide, and since this is a rally cross car, it needs short tranny. I ordered a race transmission. 2) The car is overheating quite easily, it's endurance is quite weak. This post was edited by Facepalm (2014-12-20 18:13, ago) |

=====3 MONTHS LATER=====
After 3 months of straight grindin on the 240sx she is finally done! Well it's a project car and none of them are ever done but I'm happy for now. Couldn't have done it without help from all the generous friends and people around me to lend me a helping hand when needed. Now I dont have to shred my friends tires on the ol AE86 anymore! Not saying that is bad but it's nice to have my own racecar for a change. Here she is! Went with a light blue metallic paint and some nice black Volk Meisters to pull it off. I also bought a type X bumper. Kinda regreting selling the one I had but atleast Facepalm is putting it to good use! Also, I will eventually slap some stickers on her. Thinking about some on rear windshield and maybe the 2 rear windows. Also bought a Type X front bumper. Got it for cheap straight from Japan and couldn't be more happy with it. As always it took some fitting since the chassis still is a little crooked from the crash but in the end it fitted well Next on the list is adjusting the fitment on the front wheels. I might put 17's on there since the 18's that are on it now aren't sitting the way I would like it. Other than that i'm thinking of buying the 86 from my friend and finding a 4a-ge for it. Well that is it for now! i'll be back for sure. FYI im using Coprones ENB for the screenshots. Big props to him, it looks awesome! |

You need some racing seats in that thing! xD
So, I picked up a Fairlady Z... Its pretty much stock, minus rims, straight piped exhaust, and a bizarre engine cover for such a car... Nice exhaust tips, heres the straight piping And here's the interior Sound system is a decent JBL woofer that is inside a box thats cracked on the back side Here's the V6, but look at that cover... It's a Mercedes-Benz V6 cover... I didn't even know that Merc made a V6... Anyone want a Mercedes V6 cover? I got a few ideas for the car. I already ordered a twin turbo kit for the car, and some 19" Kranze rims. I'm also thinking larger brakes, and maybe a C-west bodykit. What do you guys think of the car? {1 hour later} I looked up how the C-West kits look on the Z, and they add about 3 feet to the front and rear of the damn car... I decided to go with a Top Secret kit because it looks mostly stock, but gives the car a nicely subtle aggressive look. I also removed that stupid Merc cover to find someone had replaced the intake manifold with a Power one... Nice. I picked up some new lights from a partner shop, and they fit the car well I think. (for those of you keeping track, I used the last of my money from the Cuda and blue Civic for this car.) This post was edited by dxg1997 (2014-12-20 22:05, ago) |

Got the k24 into the teggy, ive decided to make it a weekend warrior time attack car. The block was pulled out of a wrecked acura rsx type-s. it was then bored. skunk 2 hooked me up with some nice high compression pistons and forged connecting rods/crankshaft. the head is stock, just minor port and polish for support. cams are skunk2 mid range performance cams for the racer on a budget. custom itb setup made by forged performance in Georgia. mishimoto radiator installed to keep it cool and spoon 3in full exhaust. finally, spoon headcover with the carbon fiber mugen cover over the ignition. shes making a decent number for time attack, low class fwd for me. next step is the suspension and brakes and I am ready to go

Just got my SLRR working again. I have lost all my careers. So I'm going to start over again.
Hi my name is Bush, and I just moved to Valo. I'm still settling in so I haven't had a chance to take some new pictures of my car, but I have some old ones from when I was in Japan. It's a 1997 Nissan 240SX, rocking some black steelies, and a RB26DE engine. |

Hooking up the engine was easier than I thought; It took me about a month, I expected 2. I also went to an auto wrecker and he had some headlights and taillights
It's off to paint now. It's going to be green like the Barracuda but will have a big-ass airbrush on the hood. I liked the sticker from Coprone's AE86 |

Racing transmission arrived! I shortened the gears, because this is going to be a Rally car. Yes, not a Rally cross, a Rally car
Picked up dem lights and fitted them. Then I gave my car a sick racing stripes paintjob. Then, I pasted the HKS stickers that I got along with the parts I bought earlier, and some random HP ones. Also, there's a nearby rally event, and I'll be there. Added 1 minute later: 900th post! w00t! This post was edited by Facepalm (2014-12-21 19:28, ago) |

You're going to the rally event too?? I wan gonna take the FrankenLevin and show it off. Might bring the Datsun and actually run in the race... We wouldn't run in the same class, but still be at the same event... The suspension I ordered finally came, along with the HRE's I wanted, in dark green. The suspension is a full set of Koni Max Adjust shocks and springs, 36 way adjustable, and their set to the highest ride height. Idk how the brakes (355 mm carbon ceramic Brembo) are gonna handle the dirt, but I guess we'll see.
Just a peek at that sexy engine... @Facepalm, Now that I'm completely broke, you already have a codriver? I need one, and was wondering if you would want to be it. I can be yours. |

Like no one ever was To break records is his real test To overtake is his cause After adding the last touch, the sticker on the headlight, I took the bad boy for a test at the stage the event will happen. It's a tarmac rally, so don't worry dxg. We may even compete! |

I already signed up, I'm in the equivalent class of Pikes Peak cuz I'm running methanol, and 1k+ hp. I guess I can lower the suspension back down for the first stage. The second I run in is all dirt though... oughtta be fun...
Added 49 minutes later: I'm borrowing some rims and tires from Fred. An old set of Corvette rims will act as my dirt wheels, and my HRE's and Fred's Neovas tires will act as my tarmac wheels. I welded up a wheel stand for the back of the car, and I think it looks okay... Wish I had done better on the welds though xD This post was edited by dxg1997 (2014-12-22 01:00, ago) |

I think I'll leave my Volvo with RB26DETT as it is, & stance new 242 properly. You know, you always need one car for hooning! So, I'm planning to make it clean (coprone or whatever) as hell. While waiting for the paintjob to be finished I took the Charger to the local drag strip. I waited in the pit for an opponent:
Yup, that yellow Civic was my opponent. Smoked him XD There was a guy with a 53 Hudson Hornet body on a trailer. He was trying to sell it. It was supposed to be a restauration project but he gave up on it. It's rust-free and primered. I bought it for only 500$ and took it home: It will be a super-low show car. Finally! 2 days after my last Update, the Paintjob is done! And with that I have a new daily! Plates on and ready to go:
I'll be looking for a cheap Shop-truck since I am sick of cramping parts into a car. I've also ordered a suspension for the hornet. @stonedmonster: Maybe a RB26DET; They are quite popular for cars like that one. Or if you want to have something crazy, try putting a rotary in it. It should fit just fine. Edit: Just saw that the painter forgot a mirror XD I'll talk to that guy tomorrow |
