Just a quick upgrade:
i bought a bumper for the 1 for V$160, and a hood for V$200 with small dents, and a passanger side headlight for V$280. I had to buy the front frame too, it cost me V$180. And i ordered a brand new aftermarket radiator for V$56. The replacement for the bent control arm cost me V$95. The guys at our body shop managed to save the front quarterpanels, and pulled the front to line up everything. After that i dropped the parts i bought(we had to raise the engine a little bit to remove the old front frame), topped up the cooling fluid, cleared the errors, and started the car. This was the first time i heard the n52 purring. I had to bleed the cooling system too. The front right rim is bent a little bit, so i swapped the wheels from my e36 since i'm not using it, and i need to move the 1 in the garage. And i forgot to mention 1 real important thing: the car has adjustable suspension, and it survived the crash! I did a check on the vin too: Model Year: 2008 Make: BMW Model: 1 series Trim Level: 128i Body Type: 2 Door Coupe Manufacturer: Bayerische Motoren Werke AG Production Seq. Number: K78786 Engine Type: L6, 3.0L Fuel Type: Gasoline Engine Code: B Drive Line Type: RWD Vehicle Type: Passenger Car Vehicle Class: Small Car Restraint System: Dual Air Bag; Manual Belts; SRS-Dual Stage Advanced Country: GERMANY Assy. Plant: Leipzig color: Deep sea blue metallic i was working on the omega too, we measured everything for the rollbar, and i sent the plans for a local company to manufacture it. And we trailed the body to a paint shop, it'll be painted to white. |
