I was busy with working again. I have a job in the garage which took mostly all of my time, but i will detail that later. First, the omega. I managed to adjust the suspension a little more, now it handles really good, but could be better. I managed to locate the main problem: weight distribution. We made some adjustments, (pushed the engine as back as we could) and bracing on the body, which made the weight centralize at the back. I tried the car with the boot lid and the rear bumper removed, they are 25kg in total, but made a huge difference. The car handles like a charm without them.

I had a drift practice on this weekend too, now i'm starting to enjoy the car, but the seat and the steering wheel harasses me. I did not take any pictures, i'll see later if anyone took pictures of the car. Anyway it was a fun weekend, a lot of people asked about the car. An original lotus omega is a real rarity, and although my car is just a replica, the body panels are all original(i swore when i cracked the bottom of the front bumper). And thats kinda starts to frustrate me, i wanted a car for making fun at the track, but iam afraid to use it, because when i kiss the wall with her bottom, i scrape like 500V$. And if i do that, i have to order one new part from england...

So i made a decision, i dont want to throw that money out of the window. What is sure, i will not use the car for drifting anymore. What is not sure whether to keep it or not. Because it is not an original lotus omega, it would be useless to make it into original condition. I asked the lotus forum too, what should i doo, and the answer came soon. There is a guy in georgia who races with old german cars(an idiot like me), and is interested in my car. He dont have the tools and time for building a car, but he has for racing. We made a deal: i'll build a proper race car out of the omega, and he'll pay for it. So thats what keeps me in the garage for almost every night.

The plans are easy: M60 out, original 3 liter engine in(i already sent the engine to a specialist, who recreates the original 3.6l twinturbo engine), i need to adjust the suspension for track use, Brake upgrade, wheels for tracking(the buyer already send fifteen52 rims with slicks), rollbar, racing seat and steering wheel, racing fuel tank, and a proper painting, maybe with an old racing car decor.

Thats for the omega, now back to the beginning. So 3 days ago my boss found me with an accident car. Our only job was to make a calculate what would the repair cost. Long story short, the numbers came out were sounded bad for the customer, so when he asked what could we do, i made him an offer for the car, what he couldn't refuse. Thats the story how i bought my first 1 series 128i coupe for V$6800. I bought it for repair and sell, but i looked after the prices, and you can buy intact 1s under 10k. i'll see...maybe i'll keep it for daily.

It looks bad, but i disassembled it, the main elements are intact. I had to order a new swingarm for the right, and i'm looking for second hand front bumper, hood, radiators, and the front cross member. The engine is running.
