Alright, I'm finally back, baby! And, some stuff has gone down today.
Well, yesterday, I sold my roof rack for 1000$, and I bought this baja bug wing for 750$.   And then, while on a late night while browsing craigslist, I spotted this.  And I thought, huh. A case of Budwesier and 15$ of pizza? Not bad at all. So, the next day I showed up, and god damn.  Thankfully, most of it is surface rust and on panels that are easily replaced. So, it got a tow back to my friend's shop, and whaddya know, it really did have a 283 SBC.  At this point, I was giddy with excitement. Like, holy crap, I finally get my own truck! Then my friend called me to the back of the truck.  Yeah, the whole beds rusted through, in some places I can look out at the chassis and shit. To be honest, I kinda wanted to go bedless anyway, but not like this. But, when I stared down the massive amount of rust in the bed, I was reminded of one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books:  Anyway, my finances are: 24720 +1000 -750 -35 -50 That comes out to, like, 24885? Sounds right. Anyway, the SBC is for sale if anyone wants it, the tranny comes free with it.
