The best example of good RP is Built Not Bought from Forza.

basically you start out with 20,000.
You get a 5k paycheck every week, if you speak to other people on their threads and get involved with other peoples RP's, then you get 1k every time they mention you in their RP.
This encourages people to speak to each other. We then have a seperate section for 'businesses' where people can share tuning setups and can build cars for others, design paintjobs etc for a fee.
then there is a showoff thread like the normal one here, but for RP cars only.
every month there is a 'ride of the month' award that gets voted on- much like the competitions here. if you win, you get 15k and a ride of the month sticker for your car in-game(different one each month), and also a post on the VS facebook saying that you won RP Ride of the Month.
