My S15 has already been in Go Fazt Garage for a while now and I didn't really check on it when it first arrived as I'm pretty caught up with work. But my was I in a surprise when I went to see the condition of the car at the shop today.

The guys told me that the car came with a bunch of parts in the container it was shipped in. Originally the front bumper that was in pieces when the guys brought the car out of the container. They kindly cabletied the whole thing together and pulled out the dented front frame. Next was the rather rare Nismo hood. It wasnt in bad shape at all with only a couple of rust spots and scuffs. And then the big ones came.

Hearing that I was interested in making a weekend car out of this, the guys at Go Fazt Garage bolted in a half cage for me on my behalf. Talk about about building a project, this one is being built for me! They told me that the suspension on the car was pretty solid as it came with H&R all around with 350z brakes. For the time being, the car is being loaned with a set of SSRs which they had lying around in the shop. At this point, I'm fairly convince that the kindness of the guys would stop right here. That's when the owner of the garage came up to me, walked me to the front and opened up the hood.

"It's a pretty standard 2J. Factory parts all around and runs good. We just did the front mount, oil cooler and transmission cooler just to keep it reliable. Runs at 340hp which isn't much but then again, we haven't really listen to what you plan with this." he says as I try desperately to hide the fact that I just wet my pants. Apparently, there was a wreckers just a few blocks down and they scouted about and found the glasses for the doors and the 2jz that I expressed on the last time I spoke to them. Honestly, I didn't expect a shop to do so much for me when I requested just for a roof for my wreck and talked about my interest on 2jz. After endlessly thanking them for their work, I explain my plans for the build to them.

A while back I read up on an event called Autoplius Fast Lap (seriously, check out some of the videos on youtube) which is held in Poland, Estonia etc. It got me hooked and interested so much that I intend to compete in it and that is the motivation behind this build. Looking at the work done by the guys here, it seems that the car is eligible for the TIME ATTACK PRO CLASS which isn't really entry level but I'm determined to get to the WOLF RACE CLASS. From the info I read on the event, the tracks that the event is held aren't really the smoothest so I'm predicting a lot of suspension tuning. I hope some of you take interest in this event as I think it would be great to have a fellow competitor in Valo City.
