Part 2: The Rebuild
So, I heard back from Jun, after sending them a video of me drifting the Levin, and they agreed to help me build up the Supra. They sent me the parts to do the rebuild, but I needed a block first. So, I went and picked mine up from the shop I sent it to to be cleaned up. Then I installed the crank they sent me, along with conrods and pistons. Then went in the all new aluminum oil pan. Then the ported head, with its own custom made cams. Then the ignition went in Head cover, daul Garrett turbos, intake Air intake pipes, and intercooler test fitted Took the front of the car apart to make sure I had room to fit the engine in without destroying the body. I powerwashed it, so it looked decently clean TRD clutch and lightweight flywheel went onto the crank Followed shortly by the 6 speed manual transmission Oil pump, various pulleys, cam belt, and test fitted condenser for the A/C. (gotta be comfortable while drifting right? xD) Radiator, HKS BOV, and Apexi air filters went on Took the radiator, intercooler, and trans cooler off, and put the engine into the car, and installed the oil cooler Installed and hooked up the fuel rail and injectors. Their Bosch 1000cc pumpers, so their pretty beast Turbo downpipes went onto the stock exhaust with no real issue to speak of. This post was edited by dxg1997 (2015-07-24 04:14, ago) |
