in rpk where the .class and .cfg files at the bottom normally.. theres the "superid" find from another "aftermarket" part that super id and copy to the parts you want to appear in "after market catalog"

about the grill - can't understand what you mean..

could be that you haven't created new id for mesh so it still uses the same mesh for new part.
