I am freaking out right now... In an AMAZING WAY. So, Earlier today, Fred asked me to follow him. I stopped working on a customers EK9 Civic, and followed him. He headed straight for the new building... I walked past my cars, the Impreza, the Levin, the T-Type... I thought about how far I came, from just working on Diablos Golf (Things still awesome and fresh on my mind), and when I saved the Levin, and made it into my little Frankenstein. Well, we got to the new building, and Fred handed me a controller, like for a garage door. I said "What is this for?" and he said, "Just press the button kid!" And I did. The garage door on the building opened and I was greeted by this...

In the middle of the garage was a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi... It looked just like the one I've been dreaming of, yakking on and on about. The wheels, the body, everything. I turned to Fred and I saw everyone from the shop standing behind him, the interns, the other mechanics, everyone. I asked him, "Who's car is that?" Even though I had a pretty good idea. He tossed a matching key to me, that amazing purple, and said "Your's. I've watched you become one of the best mechanics on this side of the entire city, and I decided to share the business with you! You have your own shop to work on cars, and you name is going onto the sign at the entrance! Congrats Darren!" And then everyone started cheering. My knees felt weak, and I could tell I was blushing like a petty schoolgirl.... I feebly mumbled "Thanks" and lumbered over to the Impreza... It had literally everything I wanted on it, minus the stereo. I took a few pics... It had the exact brakes, engine, colors, stickers, and bike rack, so I could get my BMX to the park and back. I just about passed out as I pressed the unlock button on the key fob, and the car went "Beep Beep" I opened the door, and sat in the drivers seat. It felt brand new... I popped the hood, and started it up. It blasted to life with a BRUMBLELELE, and sat there, purring. It sounded like my own work, and when I checked the actual pipe, it had my signature on it. How had he gotten me to do it? Then I remembered, about 3 months ago he wanted me to make a 3.25 inch blast pipe for an '04 Impreza for a "Very Special Customer." I started laughing like a maniac when I remembered that. I walked over to the hood and lifted it up with everyone watching me. I saw the same shade of purple that's on the brakes all over the engine. It was perfect! I looked around the shop, and saw a welding machine, the lift, a brand new Snap-On toolbox, still with the protective plastic on it, and lost it. All this for me? Why me? I asked Fred and he said, "As I said, you've become one of the best mechanics this side of Valo! You have earned my company enough money that I could get 3 more of those Jags you were eyeballing!" And there was a collective laugh from everyone. "But, yes, Darren, this is all yours. It seems like a bit much, but it wasn't actually too much. I know this guy named Greg, and he gave me a really good deal on the paint for the car!" Here are some more pics of my shop. Still gonna have to get used to saying MY not THE shop lol
