ratios have sizes.. so for e.g. 16:10 might have 1920x1620 max res.. using that will work for lower res screens at this ratio too..

16.9 might have something like 1600x1200 as max.. using that will work for other screens in the same ratio but lower res..

high res - mean big resolution anything above 1240x1024 is high-res in my eyes.. ;)
