Only took a few days to get my rebuild kit in and the block and head delivered, I got the 1.5L out of the Porsche and torn down for the parts I would need to transfer over there looks like there is still some room to upgrade the engine itself after this build if it's needed.
 I got the bottom end built and balanced as I went it all came together really easy. It's a fresh 1.8L block with the 73mm crank, 146.4mm rods, 1.5L pistons.     The head is brand new as well and all that I modified with that was the exhaust ports for a bit more flow, I didn't want to change the intake ports to keep the nice low end torque since it's my daily.    Here it is all back together with the Super Turizmo turbo setup and basic fuel rate tuning using based on 100 octane.  ...and back in the car, loving how easy this compact I4 goes in and out of the back of this Porsche.  Dyno day to come can't wait to see the new numbers still doing the break in but another day and it should be ready! I also have another sort of big upgrade on order but I'll show that off once it actually gets here. |
