Hey guys. Bit of a update today. So me and my mate went to look up the escort shell and it was good enough for a project i.e not much rust, rollcage, not a lot of work needed. We need a engine now so thats next on the list. We already stripped of the suspension and put it on axle stands untill we clean up some space for it in the back.

Also while my friends were cleaning up the escort i was sent to source some parts from a few places. One of them specialises in Rally cars so i ordered all the parts needed plus a few rally goodies. Then i went up to a scrapyard to look at a car my friend there thought i'd be interested in. As soon as i arrive i get out the car and see this beauty. A Buick Regal GNX.

It had a pretty sad life here in Ireland. Imported from the states in 2005 and once collected the owner just put it in storage and never drove it. In around 2007 the Buick was bought by a older American Gentleman but sadly a few months after the purchase the man passed away leaving the GNX parked up on his property where it was found few weeks ago by his son who had no intention of fixing the car so he wanted to scrap it. The guys here only wanted 1500 euro for it as the engine doesn't start but it could be just a small thing but to be sure we will take apart the engine and refurbish it to a working condition then if the body is unrepairable we can sell the engine and at least make our money back. As soon as i came back with the buick on the trailer my friends were like wtf but if its only surface rust we will make a pretty buck on it when its sold.

We got to work on it ASAP and the good news is that not much welding will be done so we sanded down all the surface rust and primed it, but still couple of parts are missing so it was time to call US Auto PArts to chance them having parts for a GNX, after the call i was told all of the parts are in stock and they are already primed. I had a hour untill they were closing and the drive was 2.5 hours away but the man there wasnice enough to meet me after work with the parts. After i got the parts i left the man 1250 euro richer and had the parts. Fast forward a few hours the parts fit straight onto the GNX and we got onto stripping it down to just the shell for painting and taking out the engine. Turns out the suspension is completely gone so time to look for new setup and take out and fix the engine. The buick should be painted tomorrow and engine should be up and running by the end of the week then it will be sold as we are running out of cash ha. Ill keep you guys updated
