With the sale of the Tiburon we built and didn't really want anymore (For sale ad). We walked away with a solid $22,000 thanks to rtv190 over at Gom-team forums! He actually offered me $40,000 here on Vstanced...and the car was only $16,000. hahaha

I took to the net in search for our next garage project, even tho we are STILL waiting on our clients to complete payment to finish the Family Drift GS340. I was looking for an excellent track car, I also wanted something street-able and somewhat rare. With all the talk about the 25 year import rule floating about, I did some researching and decided that an 1989 Skyline was the way to go. I wasn't able to find an '89 but did find a few 1990 models. I checked and double checked with the NHTSA and could have one imported with NHTSA SHOW/Off-Road approval (plus we were only couple months away from it being 25yo anyway). A ton of phone calls, a few missed connecting flights and some pissed TSA agents later we landed in Quebec, Canada @ Asaka JDM Auto!

We had already had a representative go test the vehicle we had selected! After dropping $9,500 we were the proud owners of...a 1990 Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t

Don't ask why we just HAD to go see the car in person only to have to have it towed back to the shop! The day after we got it home we started gathering info on the vehicle and cleaning up the exposed wiring. The moment lunch time hit we decided to break a couple NHTSA rules...

...AND AGAIN...

...TO BE CONTINUED
