So we took the Corrado into the shop and stripped it off the chassis and suspension. All the paint was stripped and everything was primed for a new coat of paint.
Some suspension work was done and new 17 BBS wheels were thrown into the mix. Also did some chassis reinforcement. Rear seat was left in because I dont have time to fab a cover panel right now. And this is the reason why, I had to spent a whole lot of time cutting and grinding to make room for a turbo VR6 since this chassis was originally a 4 cylinder and the engine bay was a tad smaller. Its a 3.2 from and MK4 with a Turbokit. I still have the supercharged 2.0 ABA around if anyone is interested since I will be going diesel on the Caddy soon. After that the cars was taken to a friends shop for some paint and I threw in a CF hood because race car. Also added the VR6 badges and stuff on the rear. And thats it, Im going to be test driving and tuning. This is a keeper since Im a VAG freak and I love me some Volkswagens. Still need to find a way to cover that IC tho'. Im already sourcing parts and I think that Im going to tackle the Caddy or 22B next... That Scooby needs MOAR power... |
