I did that
 it worked and i made a flush rim, the wheel fits nicely. Moving onto hopefully a volkswagen bora rim next. I seem to have a problem though with the texture. It doesnt show up as chrome  Added 1 day later: Okay so im a little stuck. I managed to create a paintable rim, but im struggling to install a full texture on the rim such as the Volkswagen logo installed on this rim pictured below. I cannot figure out how i would go about installing it. I also appear to be having an issue with the spray coating. It seems to be displaying a grid behind the paint or in the paint. I used Materials created by JC. But the paint doesnt seem to be a problem when in red, only when i go about changing to another colour.. Heres the pictures.
