BACK TO REALITY

As of this writing I am on a plane that's nearing Narita, Japan, I left Saturday morning. Here's a quick rundown and montage of the small things I did before leaving The Land of Opportunity. Also, in order to get some clear context, you might wanna check out the threads of:

- Phonexius (Benny)
- Lagano (Ziga)
- BigSmoke (Yuan)
- Niatross (Muzahid)
- Macaron_moon (Marc)
- Soju (SJ)
- 11000rpm (Lee)

In order to get a wider grasp of what we did in the US, because they're also the ones I went to the US with. Anyway, onto the update!!

I didn't want the LS FD3S to leave the US looking like trash, so I went ahead and posted a help post on the local RX-7 owner's club. Eventually I met a girl who's WAY into RX-7s, along with her boyfriend who has developed connections with a well-known shop, Mazdatrix.

I met up with the couple one night, at a local Costco, and WEW, their RX-7 just had me in awe.

The moment they said, they were going to PROMISE to make it just as rad as their FD3S, I was sold. The morning after the drift day, I left the car at their shop for the full Mazdatrix Treatment.

- Paint Correction
- Exterior and Interior Detailing
- Wash and Wax
- EUROU Front Bumper
- EUROU Front Lip
- RE Amemiya AD D-2 Side Skirts
- OEM Rear Mud Guards
- Mazdaspeed Rear Spoiler
- Carbon Fiber Headlight Cover, Left Side Standard, Right Side Vented
- Volk Racing CE28SL, Front: 18x9.5 +22, Rear: 18x10.5 +12
- Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, Front: 225/40/18, Rear: 245/40/18
= TOTAL after parts trade-in: V$4,150

They gave me a timeframe of 3 weeks to finish the car, but they called me up saying it was done in just 17 days! Almost a week ahead of schedule. I was so excited to pick it up.

And, man they DID NOT DISAPPOINT

When you're walking towards the car you just can't HELP but take teaser pics.

After settling the bill, I was nothing but grateful for their hospitality, and they were reciprocally grateful for my business. With all of us happy, I left Mazdatrix.

And that's that for now. Next!

OOF

Last last Saturday (May 11, 2019) was when we were supposed bring our cars to the pier for shipping to Japan. Thing is, I was too pacified by the FD3S that I totally forgot, and so the Friday before, I went home at like 5am, not remembering I had to get up at 7:30am to drop the cars off with Muzahid. So yeah, it's 9am, 7 missed calls from Muzahid. I call him up, absolutely SCREAMS at me saying he was already at the pier and his car was already being loaded.

You probably already know what happened after that, but here's what I did anyway. I put the phone down, RAN to the bathroom, took a shower, brushed my teeth, freshened myself up and all that, I was out of the apartment in 20 minutes. After which I literally gave my Ringlandy boi its all.

After some reckless (almost illegal but not quite, hehe sorry LAPD) driving, I arrived at the pier.

BUT WAIT

The dude told they weren't loading any cars today which meant that I WAS AT THE WRONG PIER OH GOD OH FUCK.

RUN FOREST RUN

Now, having actually used Google Maps this time around, I arrived at the pier, for real this time.

Met up with the Muzahid human, got the papers and documents sorted out, and soon my car was in the container ready to ship. It was QUITE an exprience that day.

Fast forward to this past Friday (May 17, 2019), I was done gawking at the FD3S in the USA, and it was time to ship it. Loaded the car onto the container that night. Yes I know, last minute because I was too busy having fun at the barbecue which the other guys will be doing coverage of. But yeah anyway lolol

Parked the car and registered the documents needed. After that I was clear for loading, but of course, not before some night pics.

And just like that, she's all loaded in. Can't wait to see all of our babies touch down in Japan! Be sure to check out the threads of the people I mentioned earlier, there's bound to be some juicy stuff! But my part ends here, for now. Thanks for reading! I'll definitely be showcasing some more stuff when I hit Japan.

Cheers to 500 posts! Now let's aim for 1,000!
