With the tools in the handsAfter one day owning the Ford I began working on it, first of all, I have to say that the rear bumper was almost fallen, a headlight was missing and the front and rear fenders were too rusty, so they would are hard to fix, so I had the great idea of making them on fiberglass, with the side skirts obviously but that will be done in the future. On the first day of working I dismounted the front end panels, then I was able to pull the engine right off the engine bay, to do that I called a couple friends because I could not do it alone, if there's a good thing there's a bad thing, In the course accidentally I broke the camshaft cover but it's indifferent, I'll try to rebuild the engine by myself but first I need to take it to a rectify, a couple of hours later I undid the electric system that was coming from the interior, the cables were bitten by the rodents, that's a bad thing too, but nevertheless I have to do it all over again. In the next day I finished dismounting the rear fenders with their respective lights and cables, dismount the windshield and the passenger's window because the other ones were missing, I broke the passenger window (accidentally again), I know it was bad days somewhere, but it seems good knowing that I will replace them. There's three more things that I have done, I dismounted the seat from the interior, then I saw that the seat was cracked in parts that I had not managed to see before, anyway that's fixable, I dismantled the rear bumper and I've decided to take off the grill because it was too ugly for me, so I'll try to modify it and give him a good looking, also I will apply the same thing to the bumper and the front light support, which only have a little bit of rust and dirt.At the Third day of working I called the tow truck to move the car from my house to the panelist, which I know because some friends have left their cars there in recent years, in the same way, my dad know the man who do the fiberglass work, so I will have a tolerable relationship with both persons.(These photos are at the panelist's headquarters)I have to mention that the front end suspension was covered by a nylon, then I realized it was in good conditions in relation with the days it was stopped and the fact that was covered it's very strange, this whole thing means that I can rework it easily, anyway I have to take the car to a alignment session later. That's all for today's update, after this phase the car will look awesome, that's because it would be wearing a fresh coat of paint! Nobody knows what color will be (including me (?). See you later.(EDIT: by panelist I refer to the guy who fixes imperfections of the body, rust, paints the car, etc.) This post was edited by Wypple (2019-05-04 18:02, ago) |
