Just as I thought, it wasn't long before I started to throw money at my 'sensible daily'.

The first upgrade was some Koni shocks and springs, which give the car the subtle decrease in height it so desperately needed. In addition, there's a Wilwood big brake kit with 300mm rotors in the front and 278mm in the back, meaning that now maybe the car will actually stop when you hit the middle pedal.

Of course the new brakes wouldn't clear the stock wheels, but I wasn't planning on keeping those anyway. There's new 17x9 Blitz Type 03s all around wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

So that's it, right? New wheels, brakes, and suspension is already too much to be putting into this car? Not quite. I had to do what every E36 owner does and swap out the amber turn signals for clear ones. While I was at it, I sprayed the kidney grilles black and installed the front lip off a Renault Laguna of all things.

The stock steering wheel was worn out and looked like it came out of a '94 Camry so I picked up this cheap E30-style M sport replica wheel online, which really does wonders for the whole interior.

All that was left then was to take the car for a drive! I absolutely love how this thing drives and looks (except for that horrid faded paint), but the engine makes a lot less than what it did when it was new. The power delivery is sluggish and horrible, and when you finally do get some power there isn't much. Definitely needs addressing, but I have a plan in mind ;)

Speaking of good looking but underpowered, don't think the 180 isn't getting enough love. Took it out to the track the other evening and she's just as fun to drive as the first time.

I've been waiting on this delivery for weeks and it finally arrived! New D-Max type 3 roof spoiler and an off-brand lip spoiler whose origins I'm not sure of. They really tie togther the whole rear end of the car, just need to get them painted.

Big big things coming, stay tuned!

# Soju : MMM a nice find! And the 180SX looking really good in that color :D

Agreed, midnight purple is undoubtedly one of the best colours ever to be put on a car.

# BigSmoke : Weeeee boiii I love that Midnight Purple colour! :D

Also congrats on that Bimmer, I'm sure it'll be a bulletproof daily :D
And of course you could add some more power (and new wheels!) to it ;)

Wheels done, now for power... hmmm

# Alex876 : Nice rps13, i hope mine looks as good!

Your car is fuckin amazing, makes me want to stick a Honda engine in mine too lmao

# Niatross : great looking cars man!
And lmao to think the E36's really were a symbol of luxury and wealth back in the day
But hey, falling in price doesn't mean they've become bad cars! :-X

Your avatar is just great I love it

And of course not, they're great cars.

# RocketBunnyS13 : YEEEET YOU'RE ALIVE AGAIN, NOICE

First of all, WEW the S13 has been through quite a lot, SUPER SPICY I must say. The E36... eh not so much. But knowing you it'll look almost as if not just as hot as le 13 :-X

Hey you're the expert on super spicy so I'll definitely take that as a compliment.
