HI THERE!

Now that I have your attention, let me introduce myself. I am AJ. Car nut, Subaru/Nissan aficionado, and certified S13 enthusiast. So uhh, although I've read the rules, I'm new to this whole RP World so expect some quirks and gags along the way :)

MY STORY

I had lived in the Philippines for just about my whole life, love the community, cars and everything else. But I knew that someday I had to move to JDM Land. So, I did.

Here are some pics of my family's crib with my car that I entrusted them to take care of (or just stow inside the garage) before I left for Japan.

Yep. What you're looking at is a 1996 Mitsubishi Lancer GLXi, converted to a genuine Lancer Evolution III RS (CE9A). Once you get past the AWD conversion, 4G63T engine swap, rear floor swap and driveshaft tunnel swap, all it had were the basics. K&N Air Filter, Fujitsubo Exhaust, SSR EX-C Neos wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sports, HKS Coilovers, and of course, the blue powdercoated Brembo calipers.

Running shot!! With the license plate on this time. Mounted Evo-style of course, as is the norm. (Peep invisible me)

Alright, like I said, I moved to Japan. Bought a plane ticket, gathered my shit. Sorted things out both in the PH and Japan (e.g. citizenship, livelihood, etc.), and got in touch with some friends.

When I landed in Japan. I took a train from Narita to Mie Prefecture, where I would live. I inserted DAT JDM SIM CARD YO into my smartphone, I gave an old friend a call, and asked for a favor: if he could pick me up at the station and take me to my apartment. He agreed! So I met him at the terminal, found a spot to eat, and stayed at that spot's empty parking lot to catch up on old times.

While we were catching up on old times, I decided to take some shots of his ride.

1989 Honda Civic SiR (EF9). B16B swap. First thing I noticed with his car is that it didn't have any license plates. He said he wants to keep the car concealed, and he doesn't want to reveal the plates that could potentially be traced to his ownership. Hmmm. Needless to say, it's not his daily car, and it's none of my business. But I'm surprised he hasn't gotten in trouble over that yet. Second one, is that it's LHD converted. Pretty rad.

Looking sick with those 89 Accord stockies haha.

Yeah, about 6 months later, with me already settled in, I have a job at a firm as a CPA Lawyer with a fair payrise. Convenient because it's close to where I live. I decided to buy myself a car.

A notable thing that came to mind when I was picking a car was my buddy's EF9. So I thought, let's get something better! So I searched around for a CR-X, found this pretty clean example, albeit the "patina" you will see in the pictures. Gave the owner a call to check it out, see if it's as good as it is in the pictures. He was an easy guy to talk to, happy to address my concerns about the problems of the vehicle. So after that, I then gave my EF9 friend a call to help me check it out, as he knows the ropes when it comes to EF Hondas.

So he picked me up. In his EF9. LOL

Oh yeah, it's got DC2R hubs and brakes now. He also got new wheels. Rotiform SLCs, 15x9J ET36 all around. And Advan Neovas, measuring 245/40/R16 front and rear.

Close up of dem wheelios. Kanjo feels.

Some pics at the agreed meeting place.

Those LCAs though.

And there it was. 1991 Honda CR-X SiR (EF8).

Aside from the misaligned panels, history of a minor accident, and a door that wasn't painted when it was replaced (same with the hood), the car was sound, both structurally and mechanically. Shaken is good 'till next year, and it has clean records except for said accident.

Donut tire because one of the tires on the OEM wheels became flat and the owner didn't bother replacing the tire, so he lost the wheel. It's probably at a tire shop or at a shed somewhere.

SiR. :-X

Interior is pristine. SUPERBLY pristine. 147,896 km traveled mileage at the time.

You probably already know what happened. I haggled with the price, massaged it down to roughly 120,000 JPY (V$ 1,200) from 155,000 JPY (V$ 1,550). Then we shook hands. It was officially mine. I love it so much lol.

Quick early morning pic at the favorite MickeyD's.

Also, zooming in on those misaligned panels that I plan to fix.

And an engine bay photo revealing the B16A SiR-V under the hood. Also, are those aftermarket coilovers!? They're green so they must be Teins!

Those are the updates so far. Thanks for reading! More to come soon.

P.S. I forgot to take pics of my place! Those to come soon as well.

Finances:
V$ 20,000 - V$ 1,200 = V$ 18,800
V$ 18,800 - Big Mac Large Value Meal (V$4.25) = V$ 18,800 LOLOL took that out of my pocket change
