Myself and the rest of my drift team, Royalty Drift, were invited to a drift event at Okutama raceway to kick up some smoke and bang some doors. I only got a few runs in due to technical issues. It's my first time drifting this car since I had the 2JZ in it and it's crazy weird having a big V10 in the front of this car. Immediate power and torque, though.
Here's a couple action shots.   The bumps on this course can be damn crazy and my car is about an inch off the ground, so not too far in I was already breaking panels off. Easy fix.  What might not be an easy fix is the snapped rear subframe and broken driveline. Went into the corner at about 60 mph, caught air, then landed and heard it snap as the car lost control. Big track, didn't hit anything which was good. When it broke the driveline went too though.  Hit the ground too hard.Well lets see what happens next. Oh and I snapped some pics of crew members if you wanna see more action. |
