# Gastroker : That's for positive crankcase ventilation, all modern engines them. It pulls out the fumes using a check valve attached to the IM, the vacuum sucks it into the intake manifold to get burned off. People usually get a catch can in place of it to catch all the oil so as to avoid an oil soaked intake tract, you can also run it to dump to atmosphere which a lot of us do
