A missle is a car used exclusively for practicing extreme techniques or lines which may otherwise put a more valuable or primary competition drift car at risk. Missile cars are hardly in good mechanical condition. Their condition is as good enough to drive and drift but barely decent compared to a competition drift car.
A missile doesn't HAVE to have the shit beat out of it from the get go. A missile is a car for practice, so you don't have to destroy your competition car. BUT, that being said, a missile can be a previous competition car, that hasn't had the chance to get the shit beat out if.
