my old thread - http://archive.vstanced.com/forums.php? ... 1862&d=920

hi! i'm marcus, based out of Osaka. I've been on here for a while so dare I say I'm an RP veteran?

I love low cars, and when I mean low, I mean REALLY low. Style is key!

Here is my current fleet of cars, in their current states. I'll post update photos of the cars in transition from when they were last seen as time goes.

S15

When I first got it

Image

This is my pride and joy, my 2000 Nissan Silvia Spec R. I've owned this car for almost two years now, and I intend on driving it into the ground. Full S14 Tomei Genesis SR22 with the Neo VVL head, forged internals, Garrett GTX4508R Gen 2 turbo, 850cc Deustchweks injectors, all the works. This motor reliably makes 485whp, and man is this an insane street car.

RPS13

When I first got it

This is my mint 1997 Nissan 180SX Type X (RPS13). I bought this thing bone stock late last year after parting out my long time 91 RPS13 shell (which I plan on rebuilding!) and did some small mods to this car. Slammed it over a set of 326power Chakuriki GT+S coilovers (12k/14k spring rates) and fitted Cusco control arms to dial in some camber. As for motor work, someone was selling a very cheap Tomei MX8265 complete with ARC air box, so I bought the whole lot for the air box alone knowing I can get some decent money for it. I'll eventually go Tomei Arms M7960 and full front mount, but for now, the stock side mount intercooler will do. This car may be subject to the same treatment as my S15, but who knows?

ER34

When I first got it

Image

Currently

Image

Image

The last time anyone saw this car, it was fully BN Sports kitted out and slammed to the floor - looked straight out of TAS 2002. Drove like shit though, and I really wanted to take advantage of the Garage Saurus massaged RB25DET. Fast forward a few weeks later, and the RB25 blew up on track at Nikko during a track day. Bummed, but not deterred, I had a 1JZ-GTE motor lying around from my previous RPS13, so a few months of wrenching later, I shoehorned it into my R34 and as it sits, it's a rocket ship. Fitted 255/45/R18 Advan AD08's in the rear, raised the car a tad, and this car absolutely flies. Cannot wait to paint it.

JZA80

When I first got it

Image

Currently

Image

Image

Admittedly, this car doesn't get to see the road much. I don't insure it often, but this is my JZA80 street car I built early last year. Mildly breathed on 2JZ-GTE, Trust T78-33D, Greddy intake manifold w Q45 throttle body and 750cc injectors, making a solid 450whp. This car takes heavy inspiration from Max Orido's Supra, and he has given me countless pointers in building this car.

ZC6

When I got it

Image

Currently

Image

Image

Being the newest car I've ever owned, I've been a little skeptical cutting this one up, especially since it was supposed to be my daily. I still use it as a daily as I love the modern amenities of a newer car, but I've taken a lot of the comfort out by slamming it to the floor and making it loud enough to wake the dead. Engine wise is relatively simple, Tomei equal length header, Tomei front pipe, and custom GP Sports Exas F1 catback. Aero is INGS, S13 Ganador mirrors with Faction Motorsports mirror plates, and suspension is full 326power. This is one of my favorite cars in my garage.

V35

When I first got it

Image

Currently

Image

Image

It might not look like much, but I picked up this project car with the sole intent of proving that not all V35's have to look like shit and sound like shit. This car came with a partially complete 2JZ-GTE swap, so I finished up the swap and dressed up the motor similar to the one in my Supra. Panic Wire over in the Pacific Northwest across the pond built me a new wiring harness to mate the 2JZ to the Nissan electronics, and I fitted the car with BB-Run aero including their bespoke overfenders. Suspension is 326power Chakuriki GT+S as always, valved for 14k/16k.

E36

When I first got it

Image

Currently

Image

Image

Finally, the ugly duckling E36. I bought this car because it was simply too clean to pass up, but as time goes on, I end up just using this car as my daily driver because I refuse to modify the M50B25 as I have no idea what is going on with BMW motors. Most of the work went into the suspension and converted it to 5x114.3. Exterior wise, I fitted a pair of S13 Ganador mirrors, M3 bumper, M3 skirts, and a replica front lip.

That is all for now! I'll fill in the missing gaps of how these cars came to be after the months I've been gone, but here's to cool cars!

OI!

Joking aside, glad to see your collections alive and kicking as usual! :)

And uhh.... @Lagano, I'd say it's how he shows his identity, after all our cars and mods basically forms our identity and speaks our thoughts and imagination. I might be too poetic over this but I'm sure you'll get the point  (and I'm sure most of them are coloured in different shades)

hahaha it seems a lot of my cars start out pretty similar shades of grey/blue/something dull, but fear not, I'm gonna add some colour to my life!

THANKING - i plan to keep it this style, no BN Sports / widebody stuff going on here on this chassis, way too mint to fuck up.

I own too many, can't afford to keep more than 3 on the road at once hahaha. Let's do it, S15 streeto time soon?

V35

So I dropped off the V35 for paint at Benny's Garage, they handle a lot of the work on my Supra and pretty much all of my paint needs - quick turnaround time and quality work.

Image

Then I met up with my good friend AJ (aka RocketBunnyS13) and we went for a cruise out in our GT style street cars, and boy did I feel cool mobbing around Osaka with him.

Image

Image

Image

Few days after that, here's the daily doing daily duty (for once!) hauling back aero for the 180SX. Had to take the passenger seat out to fit the whole bumper, but its in there!

Image

Just love how this car sits.

thanks man! it sits just right in my eyes, though i'd love to take this car a step further with an HM Sports or Bacon kit, something along those lines.

Got the bumper home, safely and in one piece. Its a GT-1 front bumper, colour matched! I've been hunting for this bumper for a long long time.

Man. I really lost the plot on the goal of 'daily driver' didn't I.

Image

This car was supposed to stay relatively clean and comfortable to daily - except I've taken everything comfortable and lowkey about this car and thrown it out the window. But golly me does it look fucking pretty.

Image

With some heavy fender massaging, we managed to fit my GTR spec LMGT4's (last seen on my Z33) under these narrow ass fenders and I could not be happier with the look.

Image

Took it out for a drive to make sure it doesn't rub much and took some photos, and finally gave myself a much needed rest day as I'm bringing the R34 out to Sazan Circuit tomorrow for a test and tune day.

thank you guys! my 'daily' looks fantastic but now its time to have some fun with it.

ER34

Brought the Uras GT ER34 out to Sazan Circuit a couple days ago to do some test runs, and my friend loaded up my E36 with spare parts in case I broke something.

Image

Image

Image

The car drives fantastic. The 1JZ is perfect for this car, torque throughout the rev range (a lot better than the peaky RB25 which made most of its power up top), which makes it a lot easier to drive. Two issues I noticed though - the 18's up front rub so much and occasionally makes contact with the inner fender a lot, and cooling isn't quite up to par yet (got hot after 4-5 laps).

Image

Image

To combat the rubbing up front at lock, I traded my pair of 18 inch fronts for a set of 17 inch fronts, although they were fluorescent pink and I plan on repainting them anyway. I also threw the kit on for good, because I can't stand how it looks half disassembled.

Image

I also found an ex drag car R34 headlight vent on YJP for 350,000yen, and hopefully it'll help with cooling?

Image

The look is finally starting to come together. Paint next. Any colour ideas?

Image

URAS always looking good no matter what car it is, and there's something about the different color body panels, it looks good haha, and pink wheels suit on white/black the best imo, and the headlight vent completes the look of the car, it gives it the aggressive look, i like it alot dude.

word guess who's back after another long absence, its ya boi.

i've been busy stacking bread to pay for my expensive car addiction, and it hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. here's a quick rundown of my current fleet.

ER34

Let's just say, the Uras kit + fully functional setup isn't quite my cup of tea. The car drives great no doubt, but I can't fully get behind it if I don't 100% enjoy how my car looks. I sold the full kit and bought a brand new BN Sports kit for 368,800 yen as per their site (https://www.bn-sports.co.jp/product-pag ... 34-skyline), and decided to build an homage to the BN Sports demo car ER34 from years ago. I traded the 57C6's for a staggered set of Volk GT-C's for 250,000yen, measuring a massive 19x11 -5 in the rear and 18x10.5 +3 up front.

Image

Image

I slammed the damn thing back to the ground and fit the massive wheels on the car. Thank god for fender rolling in the past. I did drill holes into the body to fit the Uras kit prior, but I didn't get as far as to trimming the fenders. This required some body filler and lots of sanding, which explains the fucked up paint.

Image

Image

Took it to a drift day to make sure it still works good, and it may not have as much forward grip as it did with the 57C6 setup, but damn does it look hot dragging kit everywhere. Dropped it off for paint at Benny's, and I should be getting it back soon.

Image

E36

Sadly, the E36 is no longer with me anymore. It served its purpose as a daily driver very well, never broke on me surprisingly, and parts were easy to source.

Image

I traded my Morea Green side skirts and rear bumper for unpainted NOS (new old stock) M3 side skirts and rear bumper, and quickly sprayed them over with as close of a spray can as I could get. Traded the GX-01's for a set of Advan Model 6's and bought an M3 spoiler for 12,000yen.

Image

Image

However, the offer for something much nicer came up, and I decided to get rid of this car. I put some R32 wheels on, took off the Ganadors, sold the Inpro taillights for 50,000yen, and sold the car to an auctioneer, who will put the car up for auction for me. If anyone is interested in this car, message me for more details and I can see what I can do about securing this car for you. Exporting is available to foreign countries.

Image

Image

ZC6

I wish I had more to say about this car, but unfortunately it has been broken for quite some time now. It's crazy, my newest and most 'reliable' car is the only one that is broken and not running. I did a few events in the car, and traded my LMGT4's for a set of gangster spec Junction Produce OZ Scara, but unfortunately big wheels did not save me from this catastrophe.

Image

Image

My car is a 2013 model year, which meant that it had the valve spring recall but was never done - prior to myself the car was never driven hard, and the valve springs completely failed, damaging the crank case, cylinder walls, and annihilating my connecting rod bearings. It developed a massive knock on the way to an event at Meihan and as a result of that I wasn't able to drive the car. Currently, it sits at Benny's, while custom mounts are being fabricated to install a new motor into this car.

Image

V35

Now this car has been a long time coming. When I last showed it to everyone, it looked like this -

Image

I got the 2JZ running great, Benny's tuned it for me and got me set up on a fantastic low boost tune make 440whp. I dropped it off with them for paint a few months ago, and picked it up not super long ago, and here it is.

Image

This beautiful colour is a one-off mix by myself, fucking around with the paint they had available. These wheels were never meant to stay, and here is the final setup -

Image

Image

Image

Classic Work Meister S1 in a 19/18 stagger. These cost me a pretty penny at 350,000yen, but they are my favorite 3pc wheel so it was worth.

Image

Oh yeah, and its plated and street legal. Until next January at least. Plans are to fully enjoy this car like I've been wanting to. My friends over at Kami-Sama have doubted me for the longest time, thinking the V35 could never look good, but I can proudly say that I have proved them all wrong.

NEW CAR??

A few weeks ago, my good pal Muzahid (@Niatross ) sent me an ad for an R33 GT-R.

Image

Always being fascinated by my friends' GTRs, I decided, fuck it. Let me get rid of the E36, free up some money, and buy this car. I've been saving up for quite some time to pick up something that is more on the upper end of my attainable dream car list, and this was it. Unknown mileage, but I was promised a full inspection of the car and shaken for the next two years.

Image

Image

Image

This is an amazing machine - the GT-R was always a car I revered in my childhood, and it feels incredible to finally own one. The R34 is still slightly out of my reach (correction - I can afford one, but there are better ways to spend my money), and I have never owned a 33 chassis before. I can't wait to tear into this car - I've done a few mods here and there, but nothing significant to post about yet. I lowballed them slightly, offering them 3,000,000yen, and after some hard bargaining they took the offer.

180SX

This car received some love in the form of 18/17 Advan Model 6s, which were a trade for my GX01s, as well as my Type X sides and rear bumper + valence and cash on top, for Origin Streamline side and rear.

Image

Image

The only thing I paid for on this car recently was the GP Sports Exas F1 exhaust which set me back 75,000yen, and the Greddy front mount kit which cost me 50,000yen.

Image

Plans are to take this thing out to the track and set the suspension dialed. Having a basic street car is amazing.

S15

Once again, since the E36 is no longer my car, the S15 sees daily duty. I firmly stick to the idea that if its not broken, don't fix it, which explains its two year anniversary with the exact same aero its had for two years now. Its a shame I dumped so much money into this motor, just for it to be used as a grocery getter most of the time. It does get its beating on track every once in a while though - nothing wrong in having a reliable street car that can do it all. Traded my Advan RG-D's for a set of Work Emotion CR Kais.

Image

Image

JZA80

And who could have forgotten my fun car - my low style JZA80. The only real change I made to this car is the Bomex Type 2 front bumper after I crunched the Top Secret one. Also new wheels - Advan RC2.

Yooooo welcome back my man! :D Welp sad to see the E36 going away and the BRZ out from the action at the moment, but at least you're still running well on the streets. Oh and I suggest you to put the E36 ad over here as well, this might help it get noticed quicky.

Now let me just grab a fire extinguisher cos the V35 is so HOT AND LIT it set my heart on fire :D Everything blends absolutely well, and I love that shade of pink as well, emitting laid-back vibes that you always seeking for. Oh and nice kit selection for the ER34 as well! It's always quite saddening to see and remember the fate of BN Sports ER34 demo car, but I'm glad you decided to revive the spirit of the original as well.

And WEW finally you decided to go for the speed route and grab a GT-R! At this point almost everyone and their momma owns an R33 in any form, but eh, getting the GT-R is always worth it. If you're going for that highway runs, the R33 is much more suitable, being a better grand tourer than the R34 imo. For track actions, the R34 is obviously better, but that doesn't mean the R33 fell apart easily in this discipline.

Looking forward to your drives and adventures with the V35 and the R33! :D

Y'all should chill with all these R33 GTRs!!! Regardless, that was a great find my man! Well it's a big turn-off if the mileage is not approved but hey, they offered you some kind of warranty because of that. Your other Skyline must be such an eye catcher too, dropped to its limits and pointing that out even more with the big bodykit!! Just be careful drifting that thing. Supra's looking fire too but you could've gone for the other type of Bomex bumper! Wheels are just perfect though. Speaking of wheels, great choice on the two S-chassis and the BRZ as well! Too bad its engine broke, but knowing you it will get an epic new powerhouse! :D

The 34 looks so sick with that kit, can't wait to see it fully painted.

Another R33???

You're probably thinking, what the hell is wrong with me - I just picked up a 33 GT-R, why do I need another one?? You would be 100% right - I don't need two, but this would be pretty damn close to what I'd buy if I had a second one. S1 R33 GTS-T, slammed to the ground, PS Duce kit (albeit in rough condition), Ganadors, Recaro SPG's w/ Takata harnesses, a beautiful candy red paintjob, 326Power Chakuriki coilovers, modded steering knuckles, all the works. I paid 1,000,000yen for this thing, which might seem like an awfully low price for a built car. And there is reason for this because -

This is my friend Sato-san's ex-R33 drift car, and I say ex because he put it into one too many walls, too hard, and decided to walk away from this car. There is no way this car is seeing the road again for sure - there is some frame damage, and those quarters are folded beyond reasonable repair. However, this car is a gold mine of parts, mainly :

This honey pot of a NEO RB25DET, and those big 355mm 6 piston Project Mu brakes. GT35R turbo, R35 coil packs, Greddy intake manifold, Q45 throttle body, 850cc Deustchwerks injectors, Koyorad oil cooler, Apexi Power FC management, this motor is capable of 500whp on high boost. This is where most of the car's value comes from, and I have plans for this car. I bought this with the intention of using its parts, and parting out the rest of it. I let my homies over at Kami-Sama have first dibs on the car, and the Ganadors, PS Duce kit, AVS Model 5's, passenger side Recaro SPG w/ both sets of harnesses, and the headlights have already been accounted for by @Niatross and @Lagano .

Both have already paid me for the parts, and today we ripped the car apart. Removed the parts they wanted, and removed the hot side of the motor to prep for removal. Thanks for the help guys!

The brakes I'm keeping for myself to throw onto my GT-R, but stay tuned to see what I plan on doing with the RB25..

Too bad about that R33, must've looked beautiful! At least it will help out some of our rides. Thanks for the parts, now i could make my R33 look decent! That said though, it won't be just a drift beater anymore  so i might as well take the whole thing, or what's left of it, to replace its role if the suspension is ok!

Looking at the recent rules on missile cars in Ebisu (and almost everywhere else), I'd say the R33 indeed can't see much track action anymore, and repairing it would be a hell of an effort, so I could understand why it's sold to you. I guess my Meme Machine is also on the verge of being grounded by Ebisu staffers.......whoops I veered off a bit. Anyways I can't wait to see where you'll put that RB25 (though I had a hunch), and if you could, what you're doing to the R33 shell :D

So I headed over to the garage with Lagano the other day, and we pulled some parts off the RB and then pulled the motor out of the shell.

Image

Image

Image

I swapped the Koyorad oil cooler off the parts car and installed it onto my GT-R. Easy job.

Image

Then we swapped on the Project Mu 355mm brakes - can't wait to see what difference it makes!

Image

@Lagano then towed the shell away, and gave me 10,000yen for the shell. Make good use of it man!

Speaking of the GT-R, I've made a couple changes to the car since you guys last saw it. Tein Super Racing Circuit Master coilovers for 90,000yen, and a set of rare East Bear mirrors for 65,000yen. Also got clear indicators for 4,500yen as well.

Image

Image

I might lower the car some more, who knows. I love how it sits right now.

Image

Next day, took a trip out in the 180SX to the docks to pick up yet ANOTHER new purchase..

Image

Image

A BK1 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, in Japan? Japan allows the import of cars, granted they pass the rigorous inspection process when bringing a car in, not to mention the process is quite pricey. I went through a global exporter, who bought the car from Incheon, Korea, as these cars sell for very cheap over there (I paid 850,000yen for this particular car and 250,000yen for the shipping + inspection process). It's a 2012 3.8 Track, so it comes with the 3.8L V6 making 306 horsepower paired with the 6 speed manual and an LSD. One of the previous owners installed BK2 taillights, and later down the line I may try to source a complete BK2 front end, but we will see. The car has done 65xxx km with two owners, and I've heard really good things about these cars from my friends in North America, so I knew I had to have one (not to mention I'm used to driving left hand drive anyways). This is definitely going to be a daily street car - trying to do anything crazy with this car in Japan is going to cost a lot, since these cars virtually don't exist in Japan.

Before I left, of course I had to make sure it can do what its supposed to - and it does.

Nice to see a Genesis in the RP scene! It doesn’t have many parts compared to the JDM classics, but I could source some parts for it :)

I just bought already a new car,but thanks anyway.
The Genesis looks like factory-new. Amazing!
I thinks the GT-R sits low enough,no need to lower it imo.It looks perfect, also has a perfect fitment.

Oh boy oh boy the GT-R is getting even more serious! :D Visual wise it's already ideal, all that's left is to crank up more power. And wew a Genesis! It's quite a significant car for me, this marks the first time Hyundai going for the performance route and also properly joining motorsports business once more (after their success in F2 Kitcar class in the end of the 90s but going down quickly in premier class at WRC at the start of 21st century), thanks to their affiliation with Rhys Millen. I know that you won't go as mad as Rhys on his Hyundais (or pretty much anyone from House Millen on their cars), but I think it's nice to know, since Hyundai has become a strong force in motorsports today. Keep that thing clean and sorted will ya? ;)

Thanks again for that R33, and i'm glad your GTR got some upgrades at the same time! And a Genesis? I definitely wouldn't expect that in Japan. They're quite common drift cars in America though so i know you'll have good fun with it ;)
