Sushi's RP Life

Hi, my name is Andrei, i'm originally from a small town of Romania, but i moved 9 month ago in Osaka, Japan. Since i got here, i got a job at a epic garaga, that works with tuner cars, and has its own drift cars.

My Car

This is my baby, a 2000 Toyota Cresta JZX100 Super-Lucent, that mean its the 2.5 Turbo model. Unfortunately its automatic, but with a few engine mods i got her to level i was satisfied with.

So for some specs, it a HKS intake, Do-Luck costum exhaust manifold, and a leaky TD06 turbo, should be doing 420 HP at 13 PSI. Never tested at higher PSI

Yooooo welcome to the RP community! :D
That's one hell of a Cresta, quite clean and handsome! A lot of us are fans of Cresta/Mark II/Chaser family, and you might have seen some around here :D

Yeah, having your daily driver as a missile car is abslutely not recommended (well, says the guy who goes to time attack events with his daily driver......), so getting one is a great idea. A lot of Mark IIs, Crestas and Chasers are sold for ultra-cheap, but they're mostly the ones with 1G engines and auto transmission. Getting the 1JZ-equipped one would require cranking up a bit of cash, but the auto model usually isn't priced too far from the 1G ones. The manual though could be another story. TOP TIP: Look up the car's real world prices to give you an idea, and who knows you might find one that suits you :D

I know that you might keep your Cresta automatic, but manual transmissions for 1JZ are relatively easy to be find, and they don't cost as much as 2JZ ones. The standard 5-speed is great enough for the job, and as an alternative you can try 6-speed from Nissan 350Z. Yup, you read that right. There are a lot of adapter kits that allows you to install it to the likes of Nissan SR and RB series, Toyota JZ and UZ series, and even GM LS series :D

Anyways, feel free to look around for inspirations, don't forget to read the rules, and enjoy your stay here :D

OwO ayyyyy hi hi hi waddup? uwu you have a cresta? That isn't too popular on here nice pick even if it's auto. I c you're running some weds up front it already looks missaleable lmao. Engine looks really nice as well especially the hp lol. As for chasers i have absolutely no clue about them other than knowing which tailight is what jzxXXX but want to know more. Honestly i'll tell you that checking other threads and being active helps to be more creative and get some ideas also others can give you some good ones for example i had no clue what engine to put to my s13 but big smoke gave me a neat one. Keep it up and keep moving forward :D

Thanks man, i love this community, even if im new.
As for the Cresta, ill keep it with a auto , because its a city cruiser, with a bit of "go". Im already looking to move to Shibuyia, so finding a car right now is not my priority

Welcome man! That Cresta looks a bit rough but it's alright, maybe it was a drift car judging by smaller rear wheels. And the 1JZ in it definitely looks promising, quite powerful even with not that much boost! Just don't turn it up too much to keep everything reliable haha. Good luck with it! Also stop by the other threads to check out the other builds and maybe learn something :)

The Cresta looks even more handsome now, I like the matching rims! As for the rear bumper, I guess it's rattle-can paint spray time

Moving to Shybuia and my new car

So, today i moved from Osaka to Shybuia, in a nice remote neighborhood. The main reson why i moved here is because i now work at a newly opened Yashio Factory service.
The other reson why i moved to Shybuia is because i want to get into drifting, mainly at Ebisu, and with this occasion i will show you my new cheap (kinda) car.

New Car

So i was scrolling for a new drift training car, missile if you want, so it can get me into drifting. I told u in the first post i want a Mark 2, or some cheap JZX100, but i stumbled across this gem.
ヤフオク! - s14後期 ks 5速 ターボ 一時抹消書類あり 改造多数 - Google Chrome 11_15_2019 12_03_04 AM.png

I contacted the owner, negotiated the price a little, and i was able to buy this for a incredible 3000VS, thats about , 330,000 Yens. So today i met up with the owner, i told him to come at the Yashio Factory garage , because he was from Shybuia aswell, and made the deal, paperwork , and she was mine.
The thing didnt come with the wheels from the pic, came with the original wheels and a set of new tyres. Great Succes!

So overall im happy with the car, it drives great, suspension and drivetrain are still in good condition, even tho she has like 130,000 KM's , oh , i forgot to mention some specs - 2.0 L Turbo SR engine, Garret T28 Modified turbo , Tomei Exhaust. Owner said the car runs 18 PSI max, should be good for around 240 - 260 HP. In a 3000VS S14!

Great purchase, well done, I'm happy for you!
I see you're also being clever by heading straight to Yahoo Auctions and grabbing a car that is already tuned. It's a used car heaven indeed, lots of good deals are around. If you're lucky you can find either a rare car or racecar (of any kind, but mostly touring cars) for cheap as well :D
