JAPAN TRIP PART 2

I’m writing it while am in the plane. Japan was adventure of my life! Thanks to @NotPerfect @Niatross and all guys form Kami Sama HQ you are awesome guys. But that's not the end i’ve met with @Nightkid cuz she offered me ride on C1.
But let's start from the beginning me and NotPerfect woke up at 8 sunday and we discussed how we want to go to Kami Sama HQ and we decided to go by train. It’s something new cuz in Poland trains and mass transport is chaos, in Japan it’s so organized clean. Ride took us around 1h so it was faster than driving car down to Tokyo
We walked out of train station and caught taxi that drive us to Kami Sama HQ. Guys i must tell you, these shop is looking gorgeous, not only shop… cars oh god all cars looks so good that i feel ashamed how mine looks hah. Look at those cars!!!!

What’s next, i have called Nightkid and she also visited Niatross shop and took me to C1…. yeee C1! guys are you hearing that i went on C1… I know for people who leaves here it’s kinda normal haha

We went on Wangan at around 1AM, but first let’s appreciate this beautiful GT-R!

uwu thanks to you for a great time lol i really enjoyed the kami sama hq too, the merc is something i would want to buy myself but yea, the budged lmao. The whole thing is insane from a luxurious daily slammed on some nice rims, by e92 time attack into two drift cars sitting up close both being nissans. I'm absolutely jealous in a good way you guys really do sick projects. And damn a wangan run with a newly bought gtr it looks really amazing hopefully it was fun :D Maybe next time you're gonna get a car back with you or stay for longer :P ?

And of course a blast around the C1 loop is something you should experience at least once in a lifetime :D

Have a safe trip home man, hope you can come again one day! :D

Ay Ay Hello guys :D Let's start working on my cars! While i was in Japan my dad drove Cooper to check if changing spark plugs and coils will help and
hooray it works great. New parts…. since i bought JCW i want to make it turkisch stock seats are rubbish so i’ve replace them with proper bucket seats and add sparco wheel, what i can say it’s a word of a difference between bucket seats and stock ones. I think i looks better with aftermarket ones. I got those Bride’s form facebook marketplace for 650V$
Image
Image
Image
Probably in a future i will tune it for 280ish HP, more will destroy that engine. I’m not so lucky cuz JCW head 2 engine variants N14B16 and N14B16C, C means engine is forged unfortunately mine hes non C engine but still 280hp is a good number in 1200ish kg car
BACK TO HR34
I head practise some skids after i came back from Japan but….as you know when Cooper is running good something else need to go wrong hehe. it isn't something that can be worst but while i was trying to drift and got to confident and i hit a fire hydrant with my rear bumper...please don’t ask :(
But i have my BN kit for ER34 it was a good opportunity to put it on :D so what you think guys? I think it looks super cool :D
Image
With help of a @NotPerfect i bought 13B form RX8 but you will see more in next update stay tuned

OwO damn more mini goodies yes now it looks like a nice street race car. With your luck and what the engine is throwing at you i wouldn't risk more power lmao, but the er34 looks so nice with the bn, just gotta wait for headlights and hood :D. No problem for sourcing the 13b can't wait for you to put it in THAT car ;)

Oh yo gonna add more power to the Mini? I gotta put this here:
Joking aside, more power is always a good news :D I always think the JCW (almost every generation of it I guess) lacks a bit (or a lot in some generations) in the power department, so it should be given a bit more power indeed. I'm also a bit curious, does the N14B16 and N14B16C engine bits interchangeable? What I have in my mind is have a mix of the C engine parts into yours, just like fitting an RB25 head into an RB20 or creating a 1.5JZ. I'm not an Euro engine expert though, so I'm not sure.

The BN kit for the HR34 is soooo tasty! Well it might be hurt a bit but atleast it still runs  Be careful next time will ya? :D

And wew, a 13B? Can't wait to see what are you going to put it into ;)

Haha James is right  Mo Power baby

On paper yes they are lacking power but on a street it's enougt to surprise somone with bigger power heh. N14B16A/B and C they are the same block, head etc. but in C they added forged pistons, i don't rimember and don't want to give fake info but in previus generation all boosted engines hed factory fogrged rods. All parts in N14 series are interchangeable betwen versions. Another diffrence betwen normaln N14 engine and JCW N14 is turbocharger, JCW one is 40mm and S one is 37mm but if JCW is US model turbo is the same as S.

Hehe i can't wait too hehe, i can ensure you it will be awesome ;)

That JCW surely looks like a very fun little car!
280hp with 1200kg will definitely feel VERY peppy
You dont even need more than that
As for the HR34, BN Sports kit is pretty much a guaranteed good recipe on these :D

Ay Ay, Hi everyone new year new me….etc Let’s start 2020 with sad news. I’ve sold HR34 chassis but RB stays in my garage. Why? I need money and I fell accomplished with HR..maybe not quite but…

JCW DIDN’T BREAK THIS TIME!
Yes! JCW is running strong now, as you have seen earlier interior change a bit in Cooper. Let mi explain steering wheel buttons
Image
Mode button -> it’s wired directly to “sport button” after reflashing ECU with 280hp tune I can switch between stock 211hp and 280hp thanks to sport button cuz all mini turbo model comes with this button and two map feature, also its stiffness up steering.

Display is wired for switching display under tach, normal stuff fuel consumption, etc.

Alarm and speed is not wired in.

MORE GOODIES FOR MINI!

I need to install water temp gauge cuz all R56 model came without it, all they have is pressure sensor I know that you can estimate temperature with pressure but easier is better I’ve just installed Defi water temp sensor and gauge
Image
Image
Image
That’s all for now with JCW, probably next weak I will go on my first rack day. I think mini is ready for it :D

NEW PROJECT!

As you know I’ve bought 13B-MPS with help form @NotPerfect . I know that’s RX-8 engine but they are not so bad as you think. Engine has 70k km, that’s not a lot but still, I will open it and check apex seal, side seals. But I don’t have chassis to put it into..or do i..hehe I won’t hold you with that information I bought E36 Coupe with 1.6 engine.
Image
Image
Image
Right away I’ve started working on it, engine came out after 1 or 2 hours, it’s not a record but pretty fast for me, engine and trans are worth almost nothing I’ve sold it for 100$ to my friend
Image
You know I’m kinda wiring nerd hehe so what I can do to 36 to make it more my car XD, I’ve ripped whole wiring form car, yes all cables went out from chassis. Why? I want to personalize whole car a lil bit, what I mean. I will do custom heated bucked seats and get it working with stock BMW switches dash lights, convert manual windows to electric. But for now, that all stay tuned! Peace

Ahhhh sad that the HR34 is gone, but eh, at least the Mini is now free from troubles and drivable :D Glad to see it being tuned even further!
And since you kept the engine, what are your plans for it? Install it to another car or just keep it for a while?

And WEW now that's what I didn't expect, a rotary-powered BMW! If you're not planning to achieve mad figures of power, a 13B from RX-8 should be enough indeed. Looking forward to see it finished! ;)

Yes, but i head to sell HR to move forward. HR chassis is good for track/grip car :( When I will have more money I will build proper track GT-ST with that RB20 :P But for now, it's sitting in the corner of my garage.

Yeey, I want to build grip/track car with rotary. For now i will leave 13B stock for "reliability" making around 192hp but I'm looking forward to do lighten rotating assembly and race port it, make around 300hp and rev it to 10k

Heeey! What’s up, guys?
Let’s do some work on 36! As you read earlier I ripped the whole wiring from car. Why?... Cuz I can! Just joking I want to do it right, simplify some stuff and get rid of unnecessary stuff and add some features like power windows, heated seats.
But how work on it is going, have a look!
Image

It’s almost done but lest get back to 13B, I’ve order gasket kit + apex w/ springs. After disassembling, I’ve looked on irons and housings and they are not too scratched, looks like normal wear for 70k engine. So after 2-3h I’ve put everything back together and made some solid engine mounts.

Image

TRANSMISSION FOR 13B
I won’t be using stock RX-8 trans, cuz its weak, baring fail often. I’ve decided to go with E46 M3 SMG trans, it won’t be easy but I believe in can make it work. Aside from transmission I’ve bought pump for SMG, it wasn’t cheap, trans was 1600V$ and rebuild pump 1500V$ I need to source controller for SMG and make it work with 13B. Make custom hydraulic lines etc.
Image
As you can see above my engine mounts works! haha, that’s progress!
BACK TO MINI

I will start with it immediately, it isn’t broken, it works fine. The story is even better I finally went on the track. This winter is more like Autumn, my “local” track, 200km in one way, but it’s the closest one.
Direct injection engines are a gift from god haha, driving on highway 120-150km/h it burns 7-8L/100km
But let’s get to the main attraction, driving on the track on 280hp map was a blast! Coolant temp stays around 105*C and everything works fine. Now I know I need to invest in new grippier tiers and thicker rear sway bar, why? It’s an issue with all Cooper’s when you start driving them hard rear end starts to lose grip, and slide like a…..

And finally you've taken the Mini to the track as well! And yes, you definitely should get thicker rear ARB and better tyres. It'll help you shave some seconds on the track and allows you to drive faster ;)

Hehe, thanks for an idea, B-36 sounds good, and WW2 plane related paint job and it would be perfect

Eyyy, hello, sorry for such a delay. So let’s start working on E36, I’ve measure compression on rotors and average is 95 psi its okay ish. Probably in the future, i will need to rebuild this engine. Let's see some work, if you remember I want to couple 13B with SMG trans from E46. I’ve bought everything you need, transmission, hydraulic pump, smg control unit and make all lines to fit E36 chassis.
Image
Here you can see trans in car.
How i join 13B with SMG you ask? Good question I’ve spoken to PMC Motorsport and they make one adapter for me, after few weeks.
But, is it working? Kinda, I’ve put engine signal to SMG control unit but, I can forget that full automatic working but semi-auto works but “manual shift” works.

I’ve connected whole harness to the engine and then I’ve plug stock RX-8 to it, for now, i will be using stock ecu cuz engine is not modified only slightly refreshed.

Image
First startup in new chassis (only header, no exhaust)
I need some aero! After few discussions with guys from Time attack customs, they make for my splitter and rear diffuser

Image
Image
After mounting aero on new bumper I've started working on suspension. Beemer will eventually become track car so good suspension is a must so I’ve choose to go with K-sport track oriented setup.

Ayyy back at it again with your doritos german lol, ah yes it's closer and closer to getting driven with the new transmission in and the aero uwu. Now go slap a big wang, some skirts and wheels and you're gonna be ballin. Oh yes don't forget to put maybe a lil more power than stock rx8 if you wanna run and not walk :D

I'm quite glad the E36 turns to be a track project! That's quite a promising aero setup as well so far. And although I'm not really sure over the maintenance cost, mating the 13B with SMG trans is a clever idea as well to cut these shift times. All in all, the E36 could turn into a lighting-fast lightweight hero this way, keep up the great work! :D

Woah it's becoming a proper track car now! Finally the 13B works but the SMG transmission was a very unusual choice! Sure, faster shifting is perfect for the track but keep in mind it's not really reliable and any problems with it can become expensive. Regardless, it should perform nicely, hope to see this thing shred on the track soon! :D

Thanks for the kind words: D Probably the cost of maintenance will be high, as you say, 13B and SMG can make the most unreliable track car  But I'm aware. I can't wait to refresh and do lil mods to do this 13B, but we'll see how much abuse SMG trans can take hehe

Thanks man! :D I'm also hope to see 36 go to the track as fast as it is posible but i want to make do it proper not rush it. Only thing am woring about is a drop in preshure in lines for trans while shifting but i will work it out.

Thanks :D
Sadly HR is gone but RB is sitting in the back of my garage  and I have some plans to make put it into my next project :D

Good code reader is my friend haha, with DP it's almost 100% that form time to time it will trow you into limp XD (IRL I own older-gen Mini and it's super reliable if you compare it to R56 )

Ayy, let’s work on B-36 hehe, what’s new? Lots of things have changed, before Coronavirus I’ve sent bumpers and wing… to Paintshop and match it to car color.
I’ve bought a DTM style wing with an adjustable flap. It wasn’t cheap but I hope it will work well. But that’s not an end! I’ve bought TE37 17” and they look amazing on E36 :D and new steering wheel with two buttons one for launch control and second for Nitrous activation hehe

Aside of visual mods I’ve finally got my car on dyno, stock it made 187hp it lost few hp after some timing adjustments car made 199hp, 7 more than stock haha. As you know my mini has more power than this so I couldn’t let it making less than stock JCW.
OEM fuel system was too weak to handle what I want to do with engine. I’ve removed the original E36 fuel tank and all fuel lines. I need better fuel system so 30L fuel cell and two fuel pumps arrived to trunk :D This setup is probably good to around 800hp
Image
Image
As you know fuel cell and pumps don't make car faster.. stock injectors are good to around 300hp. If you remember I have an Ecumaster emu black that is attached to RB20. I’ve made new plugs for 13B harness and again tuned it on a road and dyno. But why ECU swap? I’ve bought whole ZEX nitrous kit. I’m playing it safe with 45hp shot and tune on reach side.

Adjustable wings is a great addition for track cars, they allow you to experiment with different downforce setups. Thus it should be easier to create setups for the car in any kinds of tracks :D And that fuel cell is a great addition as well, safer than OEM and can hold much more fuel as well. And oh, don't forget to use these nitro! Sounds like a mundane advice, but as far as I can remember, Under Suzuki lost his chance to score a victory at WTAC 2017 for one simple reason: He forgot to turn on nitro on his final run! And of course, I can't wait for you to do your magic touch on the ECU as usual ;)

And that's not an end UwU, when I saw this wing I immediately ordered it haha. Now I'm playing it safe with small shot but I will turn it up it in the meantime to something alike 75hp, that fuel system was a pain in... to make but worth it

Yeee, it's good for way more power than this engine will withstand ;)

Setting up whole aero in 36 will be a learning curve, probably I will make many mistakes before it will be set up well, I won't forget to use it  , probably I will  . Oh you will see magic touch on ECU tomorrow, for now car is tuned w/o Nitrous makes 204hp with few simple ignition and fueling changes :D

Heey, super-fast update :D B36 tuned and running awesome. I’ve chosen to go with a progressive shot of nitrous, it means that it starts spraying from 3000rpm with 5hp shot and going up with rpm to reach 45hp shot around 7000rpm. Finally, the car made 241hp. Tuning went quiet smoothly, only in beginning engine knock under full nitrous shot but it was my mistake in fuel map, but few taps on page up fixed everting in the upper fuel table

E46 build for @NotPerfect

So I’m building this E46 Coupe for Takai, as you know me and NotPerfect that can’t be normal build, he gave me a specific goal to achieve “build me 500hp RB25 E46”. As you know me, i love challenges so I’ve agreed right away. Things I will do to the car will be, build and tune the engine, reinforce subframe and put custom harness in it.

Image
What is the plan for an engine?
  • CP Pistons 9:1 compression
  • Manley rods
  • ALC bearings
  • Bosch 731cc injectors
  • ARP headstuds
  • T4 manifold
  • HX35 turbo with 12cm exhaust housing
  • MLS 1.3mm headgasket
  • N1 Oil & water pump
  • Tomei cams 256*/256*
  • ECU Master EMU Black
  • My old Xtreme Clutch Stage 2+ and flywheel
Image
I’ve just started tearing it apart, so stay tuned for more updates :D

OwO ayy you finally got the 36 tuned and 250hp from a stock rotary sounds pretty good tbh you gonna stop here or go further like a turbo or supercharger? Also, you're crazy man we were speaking like what yesterday about me wanting a 46 sleeper and you just went and bought it already? Geez bro you're crazy but I'm not complaining and already stripping the engine wow. Keep up the pace though xD

For now I'm just testing how much abuse can 13B-MSP/Risen can take, after rebuilding it I will probably go with high A.R turbo and nitrous for recompensating for turbo lag. Yeey, I rushed it a lil
