Sup, I'm Makoto, half Japanese half Caucassian, 22yro and single ; ). For those who may or may not remember I'm that lad with this Evo

Image
Of course I'm that lad that spent more time out of home than being with his fam, just like my dad (might be genetic). But I'm back, I hope, Its been a while since I've updated so uh, consider this a fresh start for all of us. I do fucking sound like my unloving father what the hell. I do genuinly love you tho <3

Anyways, this thing changed a lot since back then, loads of shit redone and refined to suit my driving preferences. If i had to describe this it would be the perfect 630PS cruiser. Does this actually run fast? I'd say yes with a 59'592 seconds in Tsukuba without proper settings for the circuit, but it was never meant for that anyways.

The point is, cars have to be fun and not fast. At the end of the day, that's all what matters
Image
It has tons of goodies that can puts this car's net worth to 67k based on spendings, HKS engine parts and coils, SARD fuel goodies, Unlimited Works suspension arms, Endless brakes with Runduce pads, Jun intake parts, Tomei cams and catch cans, custom final drives and adjusted, tuned and aligned by Evo Specialists Garage G-FORCE. Quite a list full of Lan Evo geniuses right?

Future plans for it are livery changes, debore to 1999cc, bodykit changes and some custom stuff that I'd like to add or redo to archieve the same power figure with a 9000 RPM limit safely.

Of course the carbon parts added to it (teaser and pics in the archive) did bring the weight down to 1400kg fully loaded with fuel and myself in it (stock was 1540kg) but its still 50kg shy of my main objetive. Some day I'll take out the interior.

I wish I talked about this car less, so lets change topic to my co-workers!

I know I know, I have friends but y'all can check their lives in their own threads, why bother narrating their stories here? (PLZ check their threads, give them love, show appreciation to thier work and be polite, kthx)

SO, LETS TALK ABOUT THE NEW KOUHAI!
(inb4: MAKOTO YOU PERVERT WEEB,you only wanted to talk about cute asian girls you superficial, horny slice of life manga reader!)

SO! HE- oops, I'm getting too hyped up. Her name is Akane ********* and she owns, kinda ironically, this...

Image
An AE86 Levin. No, this is not scripted. Enough of the lads and gals with Hachirokus PLEASE

She is nice as co-worker and co-getdrunkafterworkandwakeuponyourbedmagically, goes from one side of the facilities to the other blazingly fast to get her work done with a ear to ear smile. Out of work she just cruises around on her stock GT86.

So why am I talking about this one? simple, coz I feel like this has to be the spotlight dame right now.

Yes it was abused, yes it looks like its junk, yes it's junk, but we're all here to make rotten sushi shitboxes look like bento boxes, right?

Image

Talking about rotten shitboxes, here's the other unlucky one!

The chassis has been straightened back to glory and the damaged parts has been replaced! Hanteo gave his front right fender to Akane since he wants to put a Trueno front and repaint it to another color. Ever since the Levin could move on his own means it disappeared from my life. I wonder what the fuck that old pervert ass is doing.

Oh btw, he owns the Impala Sedan now. Yeah, quite anticlimatic I know. I shouldn't be joking about the Impala because Jack perished to his illness, his woman confirmed it a month ago

So now Hanteo keeps it as it was as a sign of respect to someone he never met.

Anyways, I think I'm going to leave this here. Much love, your Human Lan Evo.
Makoto <3

YOOOOOO THE HUMAN LAN EVO IS IN THE HOUSEEEEEE :pimping:

That Evo runs the same time zone as my Silver Queen? That's already amazing man! Tthough I swear I never spot it running......should attend more track days smh. Nevertheless I reckon it can run 57 or even 56 seconds after all the upgrades are complete.......good luck getting into the big boys league man! ;)

It's a great thing you're still in contact with Hanteo-san, thought it's quite sad to see Jack eventually defeated by his illness, my condolences. I can;t wait to see Hanteo-san's AE86 as a Trueno though! :D

And HEY PSST HEY I gues I gotta meet Akane some time, can I? She seems like a great person to have a banter with and hang around together

What a fucking week

Please, take your time reading this post. Thanks in advice

Last weekend and this week has been a bit of a fucking clusterfuck, thank you Mother Nature for being this much of a bitch. (Don't provoke Mother Nature Makoto if you don't want another typhoon)

Anyways, most people in Tokyo were called out to go to the nearest shelter to survive the typhoon, some people had the time and calmness of taking pics of the purple sky and strong winds (Like Nightkid or BigSmoke) and post it in social media. Others weren't admitted into said shelters, like homeless people in some parts of Tokyo. The poor people had to go through the typhoon without any type of shelter or protection resulting in one confirmed death of a homeless man near a flooded river. Of course Prime Minister Shinzo Abe stated that these actions were clearly unnacceptable and that shelters are for protecting people, every kind of people.

So after putting you two scenarios of the same problem, it's my turn to tell what my peers and I had to do while the typhoon was going full blast. (no pics because no one takes pics while being on the edge of death)

October 11th:

2:33 PM
(+: Me / -: Hanteo / *: Akane / @: Other workers)

- Guys, today is your lucky day, your early Friday leave of the month has been moved to today, orders from above. I want you all out by 3 pm.
+ Well then, anyone wanna go out for some drinks?
* Down!
+ You're always down, will you drive me all the way back to Mie if I get wasted?
* I've driven you back to Mie twice the last month, when are you driving me back to Ueno?
- Don't worry I'll drive him to Mie, I think he has been doing it frequently to spend more time with you.
* Aww he's so cute trying to move on his ex.
+ Will you guys stop teasing me?
@ Umm lads, I wouldn't go drinking tonight, Hangibis is coming straight through Tokyo. If I were you I'd prepare things for the worst case scenario.
+ Prepare? What do you mean?
@ This one is going to hit really hard, or so news say.
+ Harder than normal?
* Yeah I guess. No fair, I wanted to see everyone drunk again!
/Phone rings/ +Sorry guys I need to take this call.
- Yeah no problem, anyways, everyone get out of here its almost 3.

(+: Me / -: Muza / *: Other workers / =: Hanteo / @: Akane)

+ What now
- Did you get an early leave?
+ Yeah, workmates are suspecting its because of the typhoon.
- Same, so what now? Should we call AJ and ask him?
+ If you want to, might worth checking if they're leaving early too.
- Got it, I'll tell yo-

/TV News: Typhoon Hagibis turns out to be stronger than expected. Studies say that the force of the typhoon could have devastating consequences in the Kanto region. The Shinkansen and other related railways might shut down tomorrow in the mist of the calamity. We recomend putting valuables and important objects in high, protected places to prevent worst case scenario events. Onto the Sports section, Fukimi-san please tells us about the Japanese Grand Prix.../

- Umm, we might want to get our cars protected.
+ Your cars you mean. My CZ4A and S15 are protected in a storage in Mie, the real problem are those cars in Westkyo.
- So what do we do, everyone we know has their garages cramped with shitboxes.
+ Lemme ask someone. Guys do you have any space for an extra car in your garages?
* No mate, I gotta pass on that, I need to find an elevated place for my R32 Golf.
= Same here. My AE86 just arrived recently from the shop and it has now taken the free space in my garage, plus I have a boat in it too. At least if it floods I can take the Impala around.
@ Don't joke about that old man!
= Hey show some respect to your elders little girl!
@ Oh just silence your mouth! Anyways I can't help you, I live in a condo building and I park both my hachirokus in the building's 3 story parking for residents, sorry.
+ Thanks anyways.
Muza are you still here?
- Yes, so what?
+ No luck, we might want to get the cars in public parkings.
- Mate I own a Merc AMG and AJ owns an Audi, they're gonna get stolen.
+ By whom? another lad trying to find a suitable place to park their car?
- Oh shit, right.
+ I'll see you in Westkyo at 4:30, get AJ's ass too.
- You're quite bossy today huh.

After that chat I proceeded to get into the Mustang and go to Westkyo, meanwhile Muza was trying to get AJ out early.
(+: Muza / -: AJ)

+ AJ are you free?
- What do you mean?
+ Did your company announce an early leave?
- No, I have to stay here till 8. Why tho?
+ Pledge for an early leave and get your ass to Westkyo. Hagibis might flood it.
- I don't think the typhoon will be that hard.
+ That's because you haven-
- Wait a sec, the supervisor is here.

...

- I got the early leave, Hagibis is indeed going to be a strong force to contend with.
+ Westkyo, 4:30, run. See you there.

4:31 PM
(+: Me / -: Muza / *: AJ)

* What now
+ Umm, we should get our cars out of here and find somewhere to park them.
- But how?
* Yeah, how?
+ I thought of finding suitable parking spots, talking to the owners of the parking lots and make a deal with them for a duration of the calamity, write the addresses somewhere and coming back when all of this has ended.
* Wait, parking lots? Why multiple spots?
+ Do you think these people will let us park 15 to 20 cars in the same place?
- Hmm, good point. But how do we come back here to get more cars If public transport is halted?
+ Easy, we'll cramp ourselves in the Stang, my cars are safe in Mie so I don't care much about me.
* If you say so.
+ Everyone in your cars, the first location that came up in my mind is a mall parking that doesn't get visited a lot. They might be willing on helping us and other people to get their vehicles away from danger.

And so we all got in our cars and started to search places to get their cars safe. The modus operandi was easy and simple. Go to a certain area of the city or nearby whereabouts and scout the area until we find a lot that agrees on our conditions and park the cars there. Then blaze back to Westkyo in the S197A as fast as possible and let Muza and AJ get another two car and repeat the whole process.

At one point we all lost the sense of time as we were focused on getting the shitboxes out of the Kami HQ, night fell soon after and tension around the city of the west started to rise up as light rain started to fall. Shuto felt crowded than usual at 8PM as more and more people were leaving work and preparing to get to their families as soon as possible. By 9PM we decided to get some dinner at a FamilyMart while filling up the thirsty S197A with much needed petrol. As the three of us discussed where we could take the remaning 8 cars out of the seemingly endless list of cars Edo called us.

(+: Me / -: AJ / ×: Muza / ÷: Edo)

÷ Hi Kami guys, I need to ask you a favor.
- What's it?
÷ I need to evac my 9 cars out of Tsukuba.
× Well shit, sorry but we can't help you mate.
+ Yeah, we're evacuating AJ's and Muza's cars to nearby places of Tokyo. We have 8 to go.
- Hey what about Sera?
× Yeah, Sera might help you, plus that would be some quality time together.
+ DO. NOT. CHEAT. ON. SERA. REEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
÷ Guys calm down, she can't help.
+ Wait, why tho?
÷ She's on her way to Tokyo, her father called her to help her family get prepared for Hagibis.
× Yo Hagibis do be soundin' like a final boss tho
+ If we continue to goof around like this it might be the final boss of your cars.
- Yeah, we should get moving boys, I don't want to loose my hard earned collection of unreliable cars.
+ Let's not let em die.
- Let me die.
+ × ÷ FUCK NO.
÷ Anyways, I gotta find someone who can help me get my shit out. Talk to y'all later.
+ - × Good luck.
÷ Good luck to you too.

After that brief break we all went back to saving our cars from a nature force we couldn't control. We continued to search and park cars till 2AM. At this point traffic had died down and gotten back to normal levels. With 4 cars to go we all decided to call it a day.

In Wangan there was a clear lack of lorries and trucks going in and out of the capital because of the imminent dangers that Oct 12th would bring. But this didn't stop certain car enthusiasts from showing up in Daikoku, in the most eastern part of the city, to encounter the same weekend warriors and do some loops in Shuto.

The love for cars in this place is insane in different ways. Some people show up in their favorite meeting spot to do the same weekend activities and blaze around Shuto while others are ripping the expressway to save their cars. Either way, this was the first time we all saw Tokyo this lively, in the mist of a devastating disaster people were still going around at the same speeds and confidence as a normal Friday night, but who am I even criticising, there's people who has gone to Suzuka while the Typhoon was probably flooding their homes just to see the F1 event.

We all arrived at Mie at 3AM after stopping by Muza's place. The night became dawn and the rain didn't stop all night. 7AM rolled in and the news reports were all over the typhoon.

October 12th:
7:08AM
/TV News: Hagibis has already reached Japanese territory and we can feel its ferocity knocking our shores. Waves has risen to dangerous levels and its hitting our northern shores really hard. The Ministry of Security advises citizens to stay at home until a new warning has been emitted and to stay far from the coast. We just got reports from Fukushima, two waterproof containers filled with radioactive waste from the 2011 Fukushima disaster has been displaced from its original place and has been washed a few hundred metres. The Ministry of Ecology has stated it hasn't leaked yet and that has been retrieved, posing no danger to the public.../

(+: Me / -: AJ / ×: Muza / ÷: Akane)

+ Well guys, lets get the last 4 cars out and finish thi- /phone rings/ wait a sec.
Hello?
÷ Hi, umm senpai, how's it going?
+ I told you not to call me senpai-
- × EYYY MARC MAKIN' MOVES
+ SHUT YOUR ASS, anyways I'm doing great, what about you?
÷ Our area got a shelter warning, I might have to stay in a shelter tonight.
+ Well shit, I still have to find places to park four cars.
÷ I see two free spots in a 4 story covered parking lot in Ueno, the first floor is empty as they dont let people park there.
+ Yo thanks for the tip, I'll treat you to a round.
÷ And get advantage from a drunken woman to please your sexual desires? I rather pay myself thanks
+ What the fuck.
÷ Just kidding, I'll accept the freebie, I gotta go, later!
+ Bye.
Um guys, lets go to Ueno, a co-worker of mine says she found two spots.
× - Let's get moving then.

8AM, rain has stopped for a while, but that didn't meant Westkyo was safe. The night of constant hard raining meant dams had to release water, in consequence rivers surpassed their limits and started to flood certain parts of the city to ankle levels. Near the coast things were as bad as inner city, as the water from the waves were starting to affect the docks, and that was where our place was located.

Upon arrival we already encountered a flooded Westkyo up to our ankles. It was clear that we needed to move fast.

By 9AM we already got the 2 cars asigned for Ueno parked and protected. It was also this time when some places in the Kanto region started to emit shelter alerts. The reality became clearer than ever, Tokyo had no other fate than to be flooded to waist height.

We spent 6 hours with the last pair as all parking spots were taken, with desesperation we decided to get them to Tsukuba as Tokyo was at its limits. And so at 3PM the Ichigo and the LS FD3S were secured. On our way back to Tokyo the sky turned purple, it was then when the calls to shelter became a reality, everyone in Tokyo had to go to the shelter assigned to them depending on which area they lived in. Akane ended up witnessing how shelter officials denied the entrance to two homeless men as they weren't residents of the area.

One of them ended dead, drowned on the banking of a river nearby. The other one went missing.

As of Westkyo, it got flooded to waist height, by the time we went to check the road was blocked by rising water, we had no choice but to turn back and head to Mie and wait till it died down.

October 14th was a chaos. People was given access to Tokyo to start cleaning up. Some families were mourning the disappearance of their family members, others were mourning the damages of their homes. Either way, it was heartbreaking for a lot of people.

In my case I was due to move to my new apartment this week, but that got cancelled. The lobby of my condo building was flooded to knee height and everyone was prohibited from entering the building until it got inspected and secured. In Thursday the building let people enter back to their homes, the lobby was paint and furniture-less, covered in paper and prived from its wallpaper.

Work hasn't resumed operations yet. Neithef of us three hasn't gone yet to work, instead we've been searching for a new place to continue Kami-Sama, albeit with no success.

Its Sunday 20th now, and Tokyo has resumed normal life while fixing damages. Other areas got affected in harsher ways, some places had been flooded till second floors. I genuinely think we just got lucky.

I´m so happy that all of you guys and also your cars are alright . I was fortunate enough to not being hit by the river and dam floods
and being forced to evacuate the area , However few kilometers from my home people weren´t this fortunate and were Advised To Evacuate Due To Landslide
Risk, which later on actually happened , crushing everything that was in it´s way causing people losing their homes , some even their lives.

Death toll is surprisingly low for such calamity, its a staple of Japanese pinpoint perfect procedures. Nevertheless lives were lost.

Really though, i'm happy that y'all managed to get your cars (and so many) to a safe place, and even more important is that you guys are OK. Well fortunately the chaos didn't last that long and knowing Japan the cities should recover from this in no time! :)

Glad y'all guys are okay, though gutted that Westkyo is toast

If you need to relocate to somewhere around Ibaraki, I'll be happy to help :D
Hmmm, I'll consider the offer, we're scouting places to move in Tokyo but for now we have no luck.

Mitsubishi Racing 6 spd

Well then, it's time to go back to 2006, they height of Hot Version videos, GT4, Tuner Car Tsukuba2000 Time Attack shootouts, the spawm rivalry of the new Type RA-R and MR models, and the new born FQ and S204 models. Yes. This is going to be about that time when the NSX-R, which was the fastest japanese car of the time, was barely faster than the RA and the MR and slightly slower than the S204 and FQ.

Image
And this is when I talk about this.

A Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR GSR. The first production japanese car to ever have an aluminium roof, the first Evo with a 6 spd transmission, the ultimate nemesis of the STI Spec C RA-R. Unlike other faster Evo and STi models, these two that sparked the pinacle of the production era fight between the two titans. The two most iconic rally cars from the 2000's where going all out with only 280HP to fight.

The FQ400 and the S204 would have been a better fight if it wasn't that Mitsubishi confined their car in UK while Subaru did the same in Japan, if that wasn't the case, god knows how far would have gone this pair of lunatics.

So what differs from the normal GSR? Aside from the transmission, the MR received a new aluminium roof, a unique colour called Graphite Grey Pearl, a larger ceramic turbo, Bilstein shocks, carbon fiber wing (which could be painted or not, that was up to the buyer), diffusers and splitters, black suede Recaro seats, vortex generators, unique BBS rims, updated cam profiles, lighter balance shafts and changed from single wastegate solenoid to dual solenoid. There's also a MR RS variant, which basically a MR GSR without S-AYC, instead it has LSD's, you can still get the 5 or 6 speed transmissions if you wanted.

And what's the effect of these modifications? 282 KPH top speed, more stability at higher speeds, better aero coefficient, faster response, lighter chassis and better handling. Its the subtle changes that count to make an excelent car, and everyone in the japanese car industry knew about it (That's why there's so many trims of one sports car. Looking at you Nissan)

In reality all you had was a thing that was slighty faster yet no better than the GSR and RS models, sure its faster, but if you plan to modify it you're better off with a 6 spd GSR or RS. If you plan to keep it stock however, that's where the magic starts. See, the MR was a base for the FQ trims, which it only lacked the front carbon splitter and the engine mods. It's a thing meant to be modified to be a FQ or to keep it like this, you had plenty of trims to choose from if you want to go bonkers with a Evo anyways.

Going to the new Kami-Sama HQ the car felt planted, or should I say like a FQ300, to be completely honest it didn't feel much different to the lowest FQ you could buy, but its deffo better than a GSR or a RS in terms of weekend driving. For daily I'd say that the GSR is still better because of the softer suspension, the difference is minor tho. I kinda miss the small but noticeable oomph of the FQ300 and the cooler sounds coming from the tuned exhaust system.
Image
Aesthetically, I much prefer the FQ line than the MR one. Even if not much differs from the one to the other, I kinda miss the big fuck off carbon splitter and the black rims that can be seen here

Regarding about the carbon spoiler, I like it more painted than bare, as a fun fact, I used to buy the Evo 8 in GT4 in GSR trim because of the wing.
Image
So what are the plans for it? I'll probably make it a pseudo FQ400, or just enhance it more (A.K.A modifying it. I'm a hypocrate), but nothing bonkers. I don't want to go full Evo X to it.

Image
Speaking of which...

Yes, new livery, new look. I kinda wanted to go back the Red Metallic Mica since I got tired from the older Red colours from older Evos, and while at it I decided to do a new one. Then the TE37 stopped being a match for the new livery so I sold them and copped some new RGDII's. To be honest I like it more. Shout out to Benny for this sick ass paint job.

About the performance aspect, I didn't change any parts of anything. Instead I focused on adjusting it to perform better in all aspects. Yeah, nothing special tbh. At least I spent some time driving it for a while.

The new tune makes this car's output of 520PS and 9000 RPM, I know I lost 100PS but I wanted more response... Well that's in preset one, In preset two its running 700PS and 8000 RPM, God bless modern ECU's.

The next thing I want to do to it is to put a custom exhaust system to have a better airflow and have a better sounding pitch and maybe a 6 speed transmission, I hope I find the HKS Dogbox Transmission even if it costs me 20k.

I might also change the steering wheel with a Scramble Boost button and make it output a power of 800ps for 10 seconds in preset two.

Anyways I think this is all for now.

Yahey our Human Lan Evo is here and what a purchase man! Should be a great daily ride as well! I guess all it needs are light engine and suspension tuning indeed, it already looks good this way.

And OH MY GOOOOOOOOD AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA finally the Evo X is here again!

And he bought another Evo, who would've thought. Although i always prefered the 9 over the 8 that you got, yours still looks just fine. FQs are rare to come by so why not improvise and make it perform like one, right? Great job on the Evo 10 too, very similar livery but a bit more simple, and the darker shade of red makes it look better all around!

It indeed needs some light tuning, I like how it looks with this color tbh. I spent like a week deciding if I wanted a Red or a Grey Evo lmao.
Also yes, beast is back!

Yo thanks for recommending me to paint on a darker shade of red, looks so much better! Also I like how the Evo 8 looks more compared to the 9MR
