My new Japanese import 180sx.
has ca18det running 15 PSI.
only downside is it's automatic... not for long.

have you ever had an ls swap? better yet, have you experienced one?

if i took you just for a 1 spin you'd fall in love with it

Probably not, i don't like over powered engines. I'd rather use 150hp to the fullest than use 600hp at 60%.
i have never felt, driven or seen a LS engine swap in real life but a V8 should be in an american car or the ones that have them factory stock.

i used to be just like you when i was driving a 130hp civic...
there is a stage in life when you get your ass whooped and you say fuck it. i need something faster.

and this never ends until you have a baby or end up wrecked on the tree or lamp post

you may not agree with me now but once you get something quick, you will

LS swaps are alright but the whole "I make more power than you" or "Let's go faster and faster" isn't what I'm enthusiastic about..speed and power isn't everything I look at in a car. I dig LS swaps if they are properly built..I just don't like seeing bone stock LS lazy swaps in cars. Besides that, they're very impractical where I live because we have literally 1-2 Corvettes (We have 65% JDM Imported cars, 30% Euro and 5% USDM imported) and no service stations/mechanic shops that neither maintain nor sell USDM engine parts except for Economy Chevy vehicles. With that being said, I'll be doing a build thread very soon showcasing the new project once everything goes as planned.

do you think its easy for me to get hold of GM parts if anything breaks down? i live in the UK (dunno bout you),
and i've been hunting for a LS1 camaro for over 3 years and finally bought it off ebay, i import my performance parts from US
despite the 20% vat but i do what i love. i work my ass off in work to afford everything

and i drive stock 350z as my daily so if anything happens to either one i always have a transport to work and back.

----

I gave this idea to that dude from 180sx who's supposedly aussie so getting hold of an ls for him should be piss easy

Well it's far easier to get parts where you are than here. It's much easier to ship stuff from the US to the UK instead of the third world country that I live in (Trinidad)
We also have shipping and website restrictions here so ordering stuff isn't as simple as it should be. I also work as hard as possible but I still stay on the cost effective end when it comes to building/buying cars. Fucking nice on the daily man, a 350Z is overpriced here. Wayyyy too much for a car that's around a decade old. Shit yeah, he can get a hold of an LS just as easy as I'd get an RB here. I'd get a 3UZ or a VH on my list of swaps aside from the LS as well.

My new daily machine, Fiat Punto S 55hp base model... Very cheap to run, maintenance and so. Lack of electronic shit, everything is manual like a proper car :)
