Hello there
OORP It's my first attempt at slrr roleplay but i'll do all i can to make it good. IRP Hey, my name is leopard but some call me leo, but I prefer to call myself NotPerfect. I own this boring a$$ 1997 Mitsubishi Colt 1.6 with 5 speed manual and i live in Utsunomiya. Since I've collected imo enough money i started to look for some entry level drift car/good enough chassis. I've came through this 1992 Nissan Skyline R32 Gts-t on auction. It has trial body kit - front bumper and side skirts, some noname hood, also conveniently enough it has angle kit, KSport coilovers and custom lower control arms in the front. It also has turbo rb20det, fake momo steering wheel and rare hks bucket. There're also fake gtr badges and wing mounts drilled into trunk. The car runs and drives well, has slight camber up front. It couldn't get better than that and the price was also soo cheap only V$7500. I won the auction with the final price at V$7986 with all the taxes. As the car wasn't registered I had to call tow company to tow it to my house which costed like V$300. After we got to my house I decided I need to start it up. CRANK CRANK CRANK CRANK CRANK.....VRUM The car started first attempt!!! I was so excited at that time I didn't wanted to bother even doing bolt check and just straight into the track, but i let myself cool down before doing anything. After an hour or so I decided to open the hood first and just glance at my rb beast....I didn't see what was comming. I noticed in the first moment that it's not an rb. IT WAS A DAMN SR20DET....That's why the car was so damn cheap even for gts-t. At first i was mad af, i wanted to sell that car immediately but then i was like, it's not so bad. Sr's are good engines, cheaper and have bigger aftermarket community than rb20. The more i was looking at it the more i liked it. It was bone stock sr20det with mushroom filter. I continued to check the car, nothing really seamed like it was loose or wrongly done, car had few accidents but if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't even notice. It had megan muffler and it was the only muffler on that car as everything else in the exhaust system was a straight pipe from headers to muffler. I got surprised as it wasn't included in the parts list in the auction. The rear wheels weren't branded, or I'm too blind to find it but they were 16 inches as well with 205's in the rear with madly high profile, the fronts were 215/15. Brakes were stockish, i guess maybe from gtr r32 but i'm not sure. I'm in llloooovvveee with this car and I'm sooo excited to start drifting on the nikko circuit that's next to me. I used to walk there and watch cars like all the time and now people will get to watch me. Since it's like 3am in the morning I'll start from tomorrow. Today was a good day. Finances V$20000 - (V$7986+V$300) = V$11714 This post was edited by Leopard13631 (2019-09-03 15:53, ago) |

Well i guess it's not bad considering it would be rb20 and they have almost same power stock, but yea sr has more parts than rb20 i guess.
Oopsie, corrected that |

First of all, welcome aboard! That R32 might look a bit off for now but for the price you got it's pretty good. I used to own a SR20 swapped R32 GTS too, and believe me, it's a great engine for it even if it's stock, after all a turbo one can have up to 250hp!
Good luck with the build, and remember to check out RP threads around the forum to get some advice and see what kind of builds everyone's up to |

Welcome to the RP community!
Hey a turbo SR isn't that bad, look at the bright side: Parts are cheap and easy to get, so if you feel like for an upgrade you can do it right away! Though admittably seeing one inside a Skyline ir rather peculiar indeed. But eh, RB tuning can be expensive at times soooo....... I kinda want a 90's Colt/Mirage for myself, quite an underrated(forgotten?) Japanese hatchback I'd say, quite so in the Cyborg Z form. Sadly even the lower trim ones are rather hard to find in Japan online it turns out(so far), and I myself already got a hell lot of cars to ride with. Oh so you live near Nikko? I've been there for some time and it was a huuuuuge fun! I myself live near Tsukuba Circuit, so I've done a lot of track days and even competitive events there EDIT: If you're looking for some RP guidance, get it here and here. Feel free to look around and read other RPs as well for some inspirations. So far I'd say you're already going on to a great start |

Hi hi hi, thanks for the greatings and all the tips, some of the tips i knew already but i did learn a few too so ty ^^
Yea i'm not saying sr is bad, it kinda grows on me but it was just unexpected to see 4 banger in a skyline chassis also the price was low for an r32 so i don't mind it. It had no engine pics so i could figure something is fishy myself but if i did i wouldn't get it and would still drive my colt lol. Well i mean colts might be rare but this gen at least i'm not a big fan of, it's not a bad daily but it's not a great car imo. I live pretty much in nikko lol, my whole childhood i was visiting nikko as much as possible even by myself. That really helps when you wanna start your adventure with cars. It's really dope living next to the track, you can learn so much in early age and get to see so many inspirations for builds and meet so many people. If everything goes right i might get my first drift day tomorrow but we'll see how it goes. |

Since i didn't have time yesterday as i had to work hard in my job i'm getting first ever drift day today!!!! I have almost no clue about drifting when it comes to how to do it i only know how it looks so it'll be fun learning i guess. I'll have to tow the r32 again though since it's not registered and i'm not planning to get any tickets or lose the car. Esketit!!!! We're at the track boiiissss!!!! I didn't bring any tires with me as i don't think i'll even go through one set. I had to pay V$300 for the entry but it'll be worth it!!! I'm gonna go line up and start the humiliation of myself lol. First spin out, here we go it's annoying but i have to bear with it until i learn it. It's gonna be hard but i'll learn it today. My goal is to link 2 corners right after that first long sweeper and i'll call it a good day. Yet another spin out...i won't stop till i can do at least one good corner. I can do this... Also the car is working great, it doesn't act up on me everything works fine nothing rattles or such. Looks like i got myself a well maintained drift car for cheap. Now back to the drifting i go. Another one but i feel it better and better, also kinda get what i need to do hopefully next attempt will be successful. I can do this! I MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!! FIRST CORNER I PROPERLY DRIFTED WOOOOOO!!! That was siiiccckkk!!! I'm sooo happy, link 2 corners next EESSSKKKEEETTTIIITTT!!!!! Daaaaaaammmmmnnnnnnnn i just linked 2 corners!!!!! Just barely made it before end of the day!!! Guess i know where i'll come tomorrow! I'm gonna leave the r32 in the parking so i don't have to pay for the towing once again even though it's like 10 mins away. I'm gonna get home on foot but i'm soo stoked it doesn't even matter. Car did awesome and i didn't even knew that there was a guy watching my each and every run doing some photos hehe. |

Ahhh I love your spirits my man, reminds me alot of things when I started writing here back then, particularly my very first trackday, my first time drifting and gripping(yes!) here at Nikko, and eventually my first drift day at Tsukuba (which was months apart from my first trackday). Keep on running my man, and you'll eventually get it right
And oh, don't think it too much as a practice, just let yourself loose out there and you'll have fun and have a better experience on the track |

Since i only have daily and a drift car i wanted to buy myself more of a show/daily car now since r32 won't have that much changed. I went to look at this "mint" condition no photos car in Puerto Rico, i didn't expect much since it had no pics which is fishy af. Anyway the car was sitting in garage and it was supossed to be one of this "i'm a 16 yo drifter" starter packs. A 1996 Nissan Silvia S14 zenki with a swapped sr20det in it, other than that it's pretty much stock. As i thought the car looked bad but i didn't expect it to be such a $hitbox like it is. Front bumper was "replaced" but is dented, car has one kouki headlight which isn't even fitting, both of these are pretty much ziptied together. Fenders aren't holding together either. Car has a lot of rust, idk if it's surface rust or not i wouldn't trust owner now. Left tailight is pretty much hanging on the wires, idk if it even works as they could get stripped so it's wiring job that has to be done. In the trunk there's a battery relocated, now i'm not sure if the car will even start if it was done badly which looks like. There's also a original zenki headlight, but nothing more in the trunk. Rear bumper is dented as well, has paint comming off, one talight has some marker signature which is unknown to me. The other side is even worse when it comes to rust....*sigh* I said to myself, okay it's a pile of shit when it comes to body, it doesn't even have any exhaust part other than headers so it's loud af. Engine is a blue top sr20 from s15 with a factory turbo on it. Car is running rich af, but i decided to at least try to start it which owner didn't mind. The car had very high idle but it worked so i shut it down. I looked again at the rusted quarterpanel on the right side and talked the owner's price down by at least a few V$. Then i moved to the other side and noticed (idk how i skipped it) that the passenger's doors and mirror was replaced so the price went even lower. Finally I managed to buy this $hit for V$1700 which is okayish(?). Also had the car shipped to japan for V$1000 and then towed to utsunomiya for another V$500. When the car arrives I'll start doing the work for now imma head for my flight back. Stay tuned. |

Well it's time to move on from the Colt//mirage after all, an S14 is a good daily alternative as other members here would agree with
It's kinda intriguing though that you had to source the S14 as far as to Puerto Rico, where there are plenty of used S14s in Japan.....at least that's what I remember, and they could be autos or manuals and they're mostly the DE ones instead of DET bois. Nevertheless, it's actually a great deal considering it already has a DET compared to DE and it's supposedly still able to roll, so there goes some (small) bits of your restoration job Looking forward to the restoration progress, good luck my man And speaking of the sketchy ads, that reminds me a lot of Top Gear's Bolivia Special, where the crew didn't get the cars exacty the way they were sold iirc Jeremy Clarkson and James May was the victims of the ads (they bought the car from a Bolivian used car website. If you're wondering, James got his Suzuki Samurai in red despite being advertised as blue, while Jeremy got himself a 3.5 liter carbed Range Rover MkI, which was sold as 3.9 liter fuel injected ones) |

# BigSmoke : Well it's time to move on from the Colt//mirage after all, an S14 is a good daily alternative as other members here would agree with Lol well i mean i was in puerto rico anyway visiting my family on their vacations so why not get myself a car as well xD. Yea the ad was dirty saying it's "mint condition" and was "professionally swapped" when the car barely runs and is missing half of the body and other half is rusted and ziptied to $hit. Also i'm not planning to keep the sr as it's plenty f'ed and will take a lot of effort to 1st figure out what's wrong 2nd get it back to life and i'm not even sure if it's gonna work cause idk how long the car was running rich like that and how much abuse it went through. I'm planning to do engine swap and keep the sr for my r32 as a spare block and parts. Yea s-chassis is more popular in japan and all but i wanted to change the engine and the bodykit anyway, i'll probably just need to fix front chassis rails as they tend to bend, throw some goodies and paint it. Also where but in america will you find such a "well maintained" s-chassis rofl. It'll be fire y'all just need to be patient |

Aaaaaaaah I see, that explains why it was located at Puerto Rico
Swapping the SR is a great idea as well, and of course keeping the SR as spares should be a wise move as well |

I barelly made it to drop the car they were about to close. The color will stay as a secret for now, it's not any shade of black, gray or white i'll tell you that. I've also already ordered some nice white 4 lug 16'' matching rims for the R32. I decided that enkei92 are too much of a gem to be on a drift car and potentially get destroyed. Also new ones will suit more imo. I managed to sell them for V$4000 as they aren't listed almost anywhere. I've also sold the rear unbranded rims for V$500 with tires as they still had 50% thread. New rims costed me V$1900, the paint was something like V$750. Guy offered a discount if i'll only paint cars in his shop which i'm fine as it's pretty close and doesn't seem bad. <<<<<---------------------======================S 1 4 T I M E======================--------------------->>>>> For the S14 i removed the engine and stored it in my garage for the R32 if i break anything. I still need to gather money for the engine i'm gonna swap. I also looked through some bodykits and i've got my eyes on one which is gonna look sick and it's gonna be pretty og. It's been a lot of work for now, gotta gather some money now and we'll start removing the rust and painting the S14. Stay tuned guys |

- Link G4+ Storm ECU - Injector Dynamics ID1000 - AFM onvert to Apexi PFC D Jetro - AEM X UEGO WB Gauge Kit - VR38 Smart Coil Conversion Kit - RWD Manual transmission - AC Wiring - 5-Point Grounding Kit - The engine itself I also had to order engine mount kit from syko performance that has - Polyurethan enngine mounts - Sway bar spacers and transmission adapter brackets Last but not least i ordered the bodykit, i'm not gonna say what engine or body it'll be as i wanna keep you guys interested Now for the real work! What got done so far is i got temporary plates as i can't register it without engine and so much rust obviously. I've took my time with the body work and i've decided to keep the quarter panels stock (I can also go wide body later on)I've cut and filled the rust on the quarter panels as i said earlier. It wasn't easy but i just simply don't wanna widebody it yet, i wanna go for more oem/cleaner look. Also if i cut the panels right now i won't be able to go back, thus i repaired them. I also filled the front right fender and painted it with spray paint so it won't rust again as i'm gonna keep them too. The rear bumper as you guessed it stays as well lol. I know it's getting weird but trust me i know what i'm doing (maybe). Now to the engine bay it had to be worked on too as i'm gonna put new engine in and i won't have good access to it i might do it now. The front bumper is going to the trash though (wew i know surprising). I left the S in the same shop that is painting my R32 for that sweet discount. R32 should be ready soon and now we wait for the S to get the goodies. I'm really hyped for that project as it's gonna be imo really cool and og. I could even tell you what engine i'll put in but you won't ever guess what i'll do to it anyway but i won't. (hehe buoi). |

You've put the right price for the Enkei 92, as, you guessed it, it's a rare gem everywhere. Other rare rims such as BIM Driftmaster and Weds Albino series (and pretty much other 80s-90s JDM rims) are priced between 2000-4000 a set/half set iirc. So there you go, you've made quite a profit over there
And BOI it looks like the S14 is going to be fitted with serious race-grade parts.....this is an instant approval for me, keep it up my man! |

Yea it was a nice profit to keep things going. S will get some love soon, all i need now is engine, trans and wheels. All of which i already know what i'll be going for but need some V$ to buy lul. I think i might visit junkyard soon and check if there's something i want. I'm shooting for low-mid 300hp as for a daily it's enough to have fun |

H e r e i t i sAh today is that day... the day where everything starts shaping. Cutting the talk though today i'll be able to get back my two precious gems, the S and 32. Before that though i need some parts for the S, like engine and temporary wheels so i don't ride on this bold 90's tires and die. I was driving down the road to a nearbyish junkyard to take a look for the parts for cheap. I was passing cars here and there until i saw a abondoned 33 parked next to tofu shop. It was everything i wanted in one car.I decided to pull to the shop and ask the owner about it and maybe talk him to selling me either the car or the parts. So i went in to see an older guy waiting for his customers. I walked to him and asked if he's the owner of that car *pointing the 33 behind the window*. The guy laughed and said yes he is but he wants to scrap it since it's too broken for him to fix it and too expensive to get to the shop. It has warped frame, a lot of rust barely even holding together. I've asked him if maybe he'll let me take a look and salvage some parts. He agreed so i went back to my rented Nissan NP300 Frontier to get the tools. Once i picked everything i started taking a look and disassembling. First I decided to get the engine out so i unplugged "everything" (of course not everything cause that's how it be) and then i realized i don't have engine crane with me. I was like "ah $hit, here we go again", so i went to nearby shop and borrowed engine hoist. I pulled the engine with the trans out and i put it in the back of the truck. Engine was looking alright, it had rusted trumpets but they would go anyway so i didn't really care. It had no crank guarantee but i might as well get it anyway. Then we put the car in the air and i started taking the wheels off. Started is a good word cause the lug nuts were glued to the wheel, but i got it with blowtorch. I got all of the 4 wheels off, the back ones were dented here and there but they weren't leaking air. I also pulled front brake assembly. For the engine and suspension I payed V$750 which is a steal but no guaranteed to work or such. Now the 32 timeSince i sold the enkei's as they were expensive af and i don't wanna ruin the holy grail of meshed wheels i bought some no name gold meshes. Now when 32 was back from paint i threw them on with some continental bois and took it for a drive.Ah it looks sooo good with new paint i'm drooling. It's a darker red with some little flake but now i think the car looks way better. Blue just didn't suit it, now it has that perfect 90's vibe. It'll be a shame to destroy it drifting eventually, but oh well i'll just send it anyway. That's why i bought it for. The wheels look soooooo dope with that paint i'm loving it!!! And the flake makes me wanna stare at it for hours straight. (Also yea i got ticket for driving with no license plates and unregistered car, they didn't tow my car though lucky enough) Last but not least S timeSince y'all already know what engine it's getting but you don't know the color yet. HERE IT IS!!! It's woooowww way better than i would imagine, i picked the correct color and i'm happy. I used the mounting kit i got and the rb sits mint, the 33 wheels suit it for now. I'll be selling the twin turbo setup though that means, inter, turbskies, plenum and headers, hmu if you're interested. Got the new wheels in place and brakes not tested yet, but boy it looks dope. I love how this car turned out so far you can't even see that it ever was such a $hit bot like it was. I'm proud of my work It just looks so good and i didn't even get the bodykit yet still waiting. Dark red turned out so nice on that R32! I see the S14 is going well too, you're doing a full on restoration there. What bodykit did you go for? And as a fellow RB26 S14 owner i approve the swap! You will need a RB20/25 transmission though as the RB26 was only used for AWD setups, probably also a new driveshaft and differential, at least that's how i did it. I explained it all a bit here. *LINK* How come you're selling the twin turbos though? Sure, they take quite some space in the engine bay but they're very powerful and responsive. Well, you can have a big single instead if you're going for higher power.

# BigSmoke : Great new paintjobs for the R32 and S14, loving how tidy they are!Ayyy ty ty i tried to pick some nice colors heh # Lagano : Dark red turned out so nice on that R32! Haha thanks, i can't say yet wanna keep it a surprise but it's oemish. Yep ik about the trans i'm waiting for some money to buy one. I wasn't sure about diff, driveshaft and axles but your build helped once again need money though thanks man. I need to sell twinskies to fit in my surprises, not gonna say what it is but it's not very big power lul. Soon i'll get everything going as kit should be soon, just waiting for the rest of rb goodies. |

# BigSmoke : Yeeees we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel! Haha yea at the very end of very long tunnel. My wallet is like that tunnel, might need to sell mirage but i wanna order driveshaft and at least seat with steering wheel or steal it from 32 so i can have any kind of daily rofl. Yup NA RB gang, wanted to keep it low power, original and as reliable as possible, with what stock RB block is capable i think i did it all with na lol. |

Hey. Your Silvia really takes on a normal look.
But with painting you obviously hurried. Was it really hard to wait a little? And by the way, this RB will definitely be enough for you? |

# Nick Shovkin : Hey. Your Silvia really takes on a normal look.Well maybe yes maybe now but at least i got to know how whitr would look like so it's not that bad. For the rb nah it's not gonna be so low since it's a daily (later plans for colt) it won't have 300+ as i was aiming for since it's na and is stock but i can always go on and build it lol. I like to enjoy my cars fully and add small bits and not go fully at first so i feel like it's new for longer. For high hp i'll have another cars. I just don't feel the need for 2000hp car when i'm not confident in 500 or even 300 since colt is like 100 something and i don't plan on dying yet. As for the silvia yea it's finally somewhat or a car and not pile of rust. |

Just look at how she shines now I also got the valve and timing cover of RB painted yellow since black was too boring. Oh yea and i sold 33 rimes for this Wolk Racing CE28 with Continental's 245/25 with pink lug nuts. Ah now it really looks sick. I really didn't do much, still waiting for the driveshaft to come, i already ordered it hope it comes soon so i can finally start and actually drive it. Soon the build is gonna be in it's finalish form. There's also another thing comming but don't say anything |
