Well, here it is! It may be a tad crusty at the moment, but it's still a bargain, and with a little TLC it'll be great again. Not 100% sure what route I wanna go down with it though. SC300: -V$1400 Paycheck: +V$375 Current balance: V$18975 |

Heeeey that's a very nice find! And being the 2JZ-GE model, slap a turbo on it! (it's a bit sad the 1JZ variant isn't sold in US)
Being a grand tourer at heart, it should be decent enough as a daily, especially if the interior's also still in good condition. But hey, I'm sure you know what people do to SC300s and Soarers after all. EIther way, good luck restoring it! |

SC300s can be very good platforms, even if they need a bit of work to get them to a starting point similar to other cars (manual, ready for boost, et cetera). Have fun!

I'm not really into automatics but hey, if it can do a burnout it's all good, right? SC300s are awesome, they're basically a Supra!

My Teins came in the mail this morning, so after a quick Dunkin' Donuts run I got straight to work.
The ol' SC's coming along nicely if I say so myself. Got some wheels and tires on the way, will probably have to pick up some control arms and a body kit at some point. Coilovers: V$808 (Andy's Auto Sport) Dunkin': V$9 Current balance: V$18158 This post was edited by 1llum1nate (2019-06-26 14:24, ago) |

Got some 18" Equip E05s for the SC! The fitment's a little dookie at the moment, however it'll be top notch with some negative camber up front and some wider rear fenders. Equips + Michelins: -V$3800 Current balance: V$14358 |

Threw on some Battle Version front upper control arms, inner tie rods and outer tie rod ends, along with some KBD side skirts and rear fenders. After messing around with the suspension, I'm really liking how the SC's sitting right now. I also picked up a front and rear bumper from KBD, which I'll throw on once I get an alignment to get the suspension 100% dialled in. BV goodies: -V$856 (Driftmotion) KBD goodies: -V$1578 (KBD Body Kits) Current balance: V$11924 This post was edited by 1llum1nate (2019-06-26 14:25, ago) |

Tthat's one hell of a progress man! I love the near-final result!
Keeping it green is great, or if you want to try a different colour you might want to try different shade of green or paint it.....red? Or perhaps orange? |

Last pic of the SC with the dusty Imperial Jade + polyurethane combo.
Drove the SC out to NorCal and dropped it off at a shop called JAV Customs, run by a guy known as "Twinkie". Judging by that nickname, I figured he liked Twinkies, so threw in a pack of those. While I'm in Cali, if anyone wants to link up and encourage me to make more financial mistakes, hmu. Gas: -V$50 Pack of Twinkies: -V$3 Bottle of Jagermeister: -V$17 Current balance: V$11700 |

Well, the wait is over. I believe the color's called "Burnt Mocha", and I'm beyond stoked with the result. I'll be in Cali for a couple more days to pick up a few goodies, which may or may not include a new motor for the SC so stay tuned. So eeeeer... a lot has changed in the past month (apologies for the lack of updates). I was initially planning on motor swapping the SC, however I realized it wouldn't be ideal in terms of reliability and whatnot so I sold it instead. I ended up getting a decent deal for a Daytona Blue '07 350Z, which came with the more desirable VQ35HR motor for those of you that don't know. In the meantime, I picked up some Tein coilovers, slammed the Z, and threw on the Equips I previously had on the SC.
I'm liking how the Z's sitting right now, pretty crazy how much of a difference coilovers and wheels make, aye? Paycheck(s): +V$1500 SC300: +V$5000 350Z: -V$5500 Tein coilovers (Andys Auto Sport): -V$912 Current Balance: V$10288 |

Welp sad that the SC went away, but the 350Z is a fresh replacement and I love it! And having the VQ-HR instead of the VQ-DE engine is an icing on the cake
